Chapter 341 Harmony Dance Project
However, at the moment, Lillian needed it most, but Jackson's hand always failed to grasp hers in time.
Lillian thought, 'Where is Jackson now?'
Her eyes stung, almost bringing her to tears again.
She hastily withdrew her hand, got out of bed, and said, "I'm really much better. It's better not to take up emergency resources. Let's leave here."
Nathan nodded and supported Lillian.
As they left the emergency room, Lillian saw a tall, upright figure.
Ambrose was standing with his back to the emergency room, talking on the phone. He was dressed in a dark suit, his back straight, and at first glance, he looked a lot like Jackson.
Lillian suddenly froze, and her heart skipped a beat.
"Lillian, what's wrong?" Nathan asked worriedly.
Hearing Nathan's voice, Ambrose turned around, and Lillian finally saw his face clearly. He had a stunning face, with well-defined features and a nonchalant expression.
Ambrose was a completely different type from Jackson, but his presence was no less imposing.
Lillian recognized him as the one who had saved her earlier.
"Alright, there was a little accident. I'll bring him back right away." Ambrose finished speaking on the phone and hung up.
Lillian felt bad for taking up their time and quickly said, "I'm fine now. Thank you so much. You should go."
As she spoke, Lillian reached for her bag in Ambrose's hand.
Ambrose handed her the bag and said, "It's no trouble. I'll take you to the ward. By the way, your husband called earlier. I hung up for you."
Lillian instinctively tightened her grip on the bag strap and said, "Thank you, Mr. Kelly."
Ambrose raised an eyebrow and said, "No need to thank me. I just found it noisy."
Lillian fell silent.
She didn't know how to respond for a moment and gave an awkward smile.
Ambrose suddenly took out a business card and handed it to Lillian. She was a bit puzzled but politely accepted it.
Ambrose said, "You looked familiar earlier. Now I remember that I saw your dance at the selection competition at the dance academy. Your dance left a deep impression on me. It's a pity to see that you give up joining the dance troupe. May I ask why?"
Lillian was stunned, and then she remembered the dance troupe selection Ambrose had mentioned.
It was the Kelly Group's Harmony Dance Project. Back then, the Kelly Group was heavily investing in the cultural and entertainment industry. It achieved remarkable success and then established the Harmony Dance Project.
The Harmony Dance Project held selections at the dance academy, and Lillian was recommended to participate. She had already been accepted and had a good chance of becoming the lead dancer.
However, Lillian didn't go. Now, the Harmony Dance Project has since become one of the top three dance troupes in the country after more than four years of development.
Lillian tightened her grip on the bag strap and replied hoarsely, "As you see, I got married."
Lillian gave up a promising career to stay with a husband who never came home.
Four years later, she was caught in such a miserable state.
Saying it out loud made her feel ashamed and embarrassed, and Lillian lowered her head.
However, neither Nathan nor Ambrose showed any surprise or disdain.
Ambrose nodded and said, "People make different choices at different stages of life. The Harmony Dance Project is currently preparing a large-scale musical named Dreamland Dances, and there's a role for a pregnant woman. If you are interested in it, you can contact me."
Lillian looked up in astonishment and thanked him again.
Ambrose smiled and said, "You might forget we met once at the police station. The person you saved was my sister. I should thank you."
Lillian blinked, finally remembering that they had met that night.
No wonder Ambrose looked so familiar. Lillian was so out of it today that she didn't recognize him.
She felt a bit relieved and smiled, urging, "I helped your sister, and you helped me. I guess we're even. Mr. Kelly, Nathan, just go ahead. I can really manage on my own."
Ambrose didn't insist, leaving with Nathan.
Lillian walked alone towards the ward. She put the business card in the inner pocket of her bag, saw her phone, and remembered Ambrose saying Jackson had called.
She took out her phone and dialed back.
But to her surprise, as soon as the call connected, she looked up and saw Jackson.
He walked with Star.
