Chapter 919

Lillian snapped back to reality, her cheeks burning as she struggled to break free.

Jackson, completely clueless, kept holding her tight, making even more embarrassing noises.

In a panic, Lillian bit Jackson hard, finally making him pull away from her sweet, tempting lips.

"You..."

He looked at her, confused and a bit accusatory, his deep eyes still filled with lingering desire.

Lillian glanced at Taylor, who was watching them with wide, curious eyes, and wished she could disappear into the ground.

Oh my God, this was her first time meeting Taylor as his mom!

Her image was already ruined—she had no semblance of a good mom left!

She grabbed Jackson's shirt and jacket, hastily covering his exposed chest, and reminded him in a flustered voice.

"Taylor's awake!"

Jackson turned his head and saw Taylor's big, round eyes staring at them unblinkingly.

Unlike Lillian, who was blushing from head to toe, Jackson seemed completely at ease. He even raised an eyebrow and smiled at Taylor.

"Hey Taylor, you're lucky. Your mom and dad are so in love, which means our family atmosphere is great. You'll grow up surrounded by love. Taylor, if you get it, blink your eyes."

Lillian was mortified.

She thought it was ridiculous, but she was also a bit nervous, unsure of how Taylor would react. She stood frozen in front of Jackson, not daring to move.

Maybe Jackson's confidence influenced her, because she, too, looked at Taylor, hoping he would understand and blink.

To her surprise, Taylor obediently blinked his eyes.

"See, our Taylor is a genius..."

Jackson's lips curved into a smile, but before he could finish his sentence, Taylor's big eyes scrunched up, and he started to cry loudly.

Lillian panicked. She couldn't believe she had fallen for Jackson's nonsense.

She pushed Jackson away and quickly leaned over to carefully pick up Taylor, gently patting his small shoulders and soothing him in a soft voice.

"Taylor, don't cry. It's Mommy. You're safe now. No one will bully or scare you anymore. Look at Mommy, smell Mommy's scent, okay? I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Mommy just recognized you and saved you from the bad people. Please don't reject Mommy, okay?"

She kept whispering, walking around the hospital room with Taylor in her arms, kissing his cheeks and little hands with deep affection.

Her heart felt like it was being squeezed by Taylor's cries, aching so much she almost wanted to cry along with him.

Jackson stood up and began buttoning his shirt, which Lillian had unbuttoned.

Taylor was crying hard, and Lillian was at a loss. She worried that Taylor might be in pain somewhere and was about to ask Jackson to call a doctor.

But when she turned around, she saw Jackson had already prepared a bottle of formula and was swiftly and accurately placing it into Taylor's crying mouth.

"What are you doing?!"

Lillian exclaimed, but Taylor was already sucking on the bottle, his little face red from crying, now looking adorable with the bottle in his mouth and his wet eyes half-closed.

Jackson raised an eyebrow and said to Lillian, "See? You gave birth to a little foodie."

Lillian couldn't help but laugh. She gently patted Taylor's back, signaling him to slow down, and looked at Jackson.

"So he was hungry. How did you know?"

Even though Taylor was already this big, both she and Jackson were still new parents.

When Taylor started crying, Lillian panicked and didn't realize he might be hungry. But Jackson seemed to have adapted to their new roles better than she had.

Jackson, feeling a bit proud, lifted his chin and said, "It's a father-son instinct. So don't think about keeping the kid and ditching the dad."

Lillian was speechless.

She wanted to protest that she was being wronged, but she had indeed considered it at one point.

Meeting Jackson's teasing, deep eyes, Lillian nodded.

"Alright, alright, I get it. We'll stay together as a family, right, Taylor?"

She smiled and kissed Taylor's little face.

Then she turned to Jackson and said, "In the future, don't just shove the bottle in his mouth when he's crying. He could choke."

Jackson knew Lillian was extremely anxious about Taylor, especially since they had just found him.

And she was right; it was something to be careful about.

He nodded earnestly and said, "New mom, please guide me."

Lillian smiled, her lips curving beautifully.

"New dad, let's help each other and become good parents together."

She extended a hand to Jackson.

Jackson liked the sound of "together" and raised an eyebrow as he took her hand.

Just as he was about to kiss it, a small hand intercepted.

It was Taylor, grabbing Lillian's hand like he was claiming a toy, pulling it towards himself.

It was as if he was saying, 'This is mine.'

Lillian was delighted and held Taylor's little hand, looking at him.

Taylor, having had his fill, let go of the bottle and stared at her with wide eyes.

Lillian suddenly felt nervous. She licked her lips and spoke in the gentlest voice possible.

"Taylor, do you still recognize Mommy? Taylor, I'm Mommy."

As she spoke to Taylor, she felt a deep sense of guilt and sorrow.

She gazed at Taylor, remembering all the times she had failed to recognize him and the suffering he had endured with the Price family.

She feared Taylor might not remember her at all.

Jackson watched Taylor, his eyes narrowing slightly.

'Taylor,' he thought, 'I didn't feed you just so you could steal your mom from me or make her sad.'

But Taylor wasn't paying attention to Jackson. He looked at Lillian for a moment, then pouted unhappily.

Lillian's heart ached, but before the pain could spread, Taylor suddenly threw away the bottle and lunged into her arms, hugging her neck tightly.

Lillian held Taylor close, her heart filled with a soft, warm feeling.

Taylor's dependence and affection instantly replaced her pain with overwhelming emotion.

Lillian held Taylor close, showering him with kisses, her motherly love overflowing as she inhaled his sweet baby scent. She choked up, saying, "Taylor recognizes Mommy. Mommy is so happy! Thank you, my precious!"

Jackson watched the mother and son embrace, a smile tugging at his lips. He stepped forward and wrapped his arms around both of them.

The room was filled with a silent, yet profound warmth and happiness.

A knock at the door broke the moment, and Jackson released them.

Lillian lifted her head from Taylor's small shoulder, and Taylor, curious, peeked out from her embrace.

All three turned to look at the door simultaneously.

The doctor had come to check on Taylor after hearing from the nurse that he was awake. She hadn't expected to be greeted by three pairs of beautiful eyes staring back at her.

Feeling a bit flustered, the doctor almost forgot why she was there, sensing she had interrupted a beautiful scene.

"Hello, are you Taylor's attending physician? He's awake now. Could you please check on him?" Lillian was the first to react, smiling and standing up with Taylor in her arms.

The doctor breathed a sigh of relief and quickly stepped forward.

She performed a quick physical examination on Taylor, using toys to gauge his reactions.

"He's fine, very lively and brave. He doesn't seem to be affected. Of course, if he cries a lot at night, that's normal. He'll need plenty of comfort and companionship from his parents. Based on my assessment, he shouldn't have any lasting psychological issues."

Lillian had been worried about Taylor having psychological scars, but hearing the doctor's reassurance, she felt a weight lift off her shoulders.

She thanked the doctor profusely, who then said, "Don't underestimate babies. They adapt to their environment very quickly. With such loving parents, I'm sure Taylor will soon be happy and sunny, without any problems."

Lillian listened intently, and when the doctor mentioned her and Jackson's love, she remembered Jackson's earlier words.

Jackson had said Taylor was lucky to have loving parents.

She couldn't help but turn to look at Jackson, who was already gazing at her. Their eyes met, and though no words were spoken, the air seemed to fill with a special connection between them.

The doctor and nurses felt like they were witnessing something intimate and decided not to intrude further. They nodded and left the room.

Outside, the two young nurses couldn't help but excitedly whisper to each other.

"Oh my gosh, Mr. Frane and Mrs. Frane are such a perfect match! Their son is so adorable and well-behaved. The way Mr. Frane looked at Mrs. Frane was so loving, it made my heart race."

The other nurse nodded, her cheeks flushed. "It's a shame they haven't remarried yet. I wonder when they will. All those rumors online were false! I don't know who those people are, pretending to know everything and spreading lies."

The older doctor, in her fifties and not much of an internet user, turned curiously to the nurses. "What were they saying online?"

The young nurses were thrilled to have the doctor join in the gossip. "They were talking about Star from the Price family. Some people said Star was Mr. Frane's childhood sweetheart and that he never loved Ms. Kelly. They claimed he married her because he was tricked and had no choice, and that Ms. Kelly was just a baby-making tool. Now that Mr. Frane is openly pursuing his ex-wife, they say it's out of responsibility and to ally with the Kelly family, not out of love."

"Yeah, and some people said Mr. Frane would eventually be with Ms. Price, and if he didn't marry her, he'd be ungrateful and a heartless jerk."

The other nurse nodded in agreement.

The doctor, not knowing the full story, was puzzled but understood it was a love triangle. She frowned and said, "What nonsense about being ungrateful and Ms. Price? They have a child together and love each other. Why insist on interfering? There are plenty of good men out there; why cling to one with a child?"

"Exactly! There are even people who support Star and Mr. Frane, calling themselves the Star & Jackson group. It's like a cult. I'm firmly in the Lillian & Jackson camp."

The nurse spoke passionately.

The doctor found it amusing. "Star & Jackson group?"

The nurse pulled out her phone. "The Star & Jackson group is simple: Star and Jackson. They claim they're the true pair. The Lillian & Jackson group supports Lillian and Jackson."

The doctor understood and was intrigued. "Are you in the Lillian & Jackson group?"

The nurse eagerly nodded. "Yes, we're all in the Lillian & Jackson group chat. Do you want to join us?"

They were excited to share the real-life love story they had witnessed. If it weren't for their professional ethics preventing them from sharing patient privacy, they would have spread the news online to counter the Star & Jackson group's claims.

Back in the hospital room, Lillian was unaware of the nurses' interest in her and Jackson's relationship.

She was on a video call with Oberon and Flora.

Lillian held Taylor while Jackson held the phone, making sure Oberon could see them. Lillian pointed to the screen and introduced Taylor.

"Taylor, that's your great-grandpa and great-grandma."

Oberon was delighted and laughed heartily, talking to Taylor through the screen.

"Taylor, great-grandpa and great-grandma will be in Miracalia soon. We've prepared lots of gifts for you. Do you want to see great-grandpa and great-grandma?"

Even though he knew Taylor couldn't understand, Oberon lovingly interacted with him.

Taylor's big eyes stayed fixed on the screen. Whether he understood or not, he leaned closer and planted a kiss on Oberon's face, leaving the screen covered in drool.

Oberon was overjoyed and turned to Flora and Ambrose, who had been pushed out of the frame, proudly showing off that Taylor liked him and had kissed him through the screen.
