Chapter 536

Lillian frowned and instinctively took a step back before Jackson could get close.

That step made Jackson's footsteps halt, and his handsome face grew even darker.

"Lillian, come here. I'll take you for a prenatal checkup," he said, barely suppressing his anger, reaching out to Lillian.

Before Lillian could respond, Shirley crossed her arms and said, "Mr. Frane, are you done with your busy schedule? You have so much to do and still need to accompany Star. Lillian doesn't need you to worry about her. After all, Lillian has nothing to do with you now."

After she finished speaking, she shot Nathan a look.

Nathan immediately raised the sign and waved it at Jackson.

But in a flash, Jackson snatched the sign away.

Jackson waved his hand and tossed the sign into a nearby trash bin.

Shirley glared at Nathan, feeling helpless at his uselessness.

Nathan shrugged innocently. "I didn't expect him to act so quickly. Mr. Frane is so unreasonable. No wonder Lillian wants to divorce him, even though she's pregnant!"

"He's more than unreasonable. Do you know what he's best at?" Shirley immediately forgave Nathan's clumsiness and continued.

"No idea." Nathan shook his head.

"He's best at two-timing." Shirley smirked.

The two of them mocked Jackson together, while Lillian remained silent, her lips tightly sealed.

In the past, Jackson's friends had also mocked her.

But Jackson's expression remained stern, and he didn't even glance at Shirley and Nathan.

His gaze was fixed on Lillian, his deep eyes full of pressure, and he repeated, "Come here."

Lillian had once been obedient, seeing him as a brother, a husband, and someone she could trust and rely on. But now, she just wanted to treat him like a stranger.

Instead of moving towards Jackson, she took a step towards Barry and said as calmly as possible, "Mr. Frane, I don't plan to go for a prenatal checkup today. Even if I did, I wouldn't need you to worry about it. I've already agreed with Barry to set up a file at Duke University Hospital. Barry will arrange everything for me. I just hope you won't disturb me anymore."

She refused him clearly, leaving Jackson no face at all.

And in front of so many people, when had anyone ever made Jackson feel so embarrassed?

Lillian felt that Jackson should take the hint and back off.

After all, he still needed to maintain his noble identity in front of others.

After speaking, she turned to Barry and said, "Barry, could you please take me?"

Barry nodded with a smile. "Sure, let's go."

The two of them were about to leave when Jackson suddenly stepped forward and grabbed Lillian's arm.

Before Lillian could react, Jackson pulled the teddy bear she was holding out of her arms and threw it to Barry.

Barry instinctively caught it, and Jackson bent down, picked Lillian up, and walked towards the car. "Jackson! Don't you have any shame?" Shirley cursed and was about to chase after them, but Harry appeared out of nowhere and blocked her.

"Ms. James," Jackson frowned, "Mrs. Frane is carrying Mr. Frane's child. What's shameful about Mr. Frane taking his own woman and child?

"Ms. James, you're not satisfied with just being an actress and insist on playing matchmaker. I know some real matchmakers. Should I introduce you to them?" Shirley clenched her fists, burning with anger, but she couldn't fight Harry.

Meanwhile, Lillian was carried into the car by Jackson, and they drove away.
