Chapter 367 Torment

Lillian walked over and took the container.

Anna was still struggling, timid but pretending to be fierce, saying, "Mrs. Frane, it was Mrs. Daisy Frane who sent me! I've worked for the Frane family for at least twenty years and watched Mr. Frane grow up!"

Shirley waved her fist, and Anna immediately quieted down.

Lillian held the container but changed her mind.

She walked over to the delivery guy who was hesitating nearby and handed him the container, along with one hundred dollars, asking, "Could you please deliver this to Star Group for me?"

One hundred dollars for a trip was quite a deal, and the delivery guy had just seen the scene.

Shirley glared at the delivery guy behind Lillian, and the delivery guy immediately made the wise choice.

Shirley blinked, watching him leave with the soup.

"Are you sending the soup for Jackson to drink?" Shirley asked.

Lillian nodded. "It's a good soup. Let him have it."

She knew that if she spilled the soup on Anna, Daisy might send more people tomorrow, given her personality.

So, it was better to send it to Jackson.

To ensure Jackson could enjoy the delicious soup smoothly, Lillian even unblocked him on Facebook after getting in the car and sent him a message.

Lillian: [A delicious soup has been delivered for you. Please sign for it at the front desk.]

After sending the message, she blocked Jackson again.

Star Group.

The air of the office was oppressive in the morning. Jackson hadn't reached the point of losing his temper and scolding employees, but the indifference he emitted had already scared off many senior staff members who came to report.

When Jackson received Lillian's Facebook message, he thought he misread it.

After he saw the content clearly, his icy expression gradually melted. He barely kept a straight face and immediately called Terry to guard the lobby downstairs.

Half an hour later, Terry brought the container up and placed it in front of Jackson.

Jackson opened the container, looked at the soup inside, and couldn't help but smile.

"Mr. Frane, Mrs. Frane must have known that you got hurt yesterday and specially made this soup for you. I've bring it up to you. If you drink it all, Mrs. Frane will surely be happy," Terry said with a smile. Seeing Jackson's expression change from gloomy to bright, Terry breathed a sigh of relief and served the soup to Jackson.

Jackson also felt that the soup was a symbol of reconciliation with Lillian, and he drank it with satisfaction.

At this moment, a call from Daisy came in.

Daisy shouted, "Jackson, I made a nutritious soup with fresh cod that I bought with great effort! I had Anna deliver it to Lillian, but she didn't want it and even hit Anna. Anna is old, and her tailbone is almost broken! Besides, Lillian is pregnant, and she should stay at the Frane Mansion. You should..."

Before Daisy could finish, Jackson's expression turned strange, and he asked, "What soup are you talking about?"

"Cod soup," Daisy replied.

Before Daisy could finish, Jackson's stomach felt extremely uncomfortable because he was allergic to cod.

His face turned extremely grim, and he slammed the phone on the table, got up, and rushed into the bathroom behind the lounge.

Terry stood at the door of the lounge, walking back and forth.

Daisy's voice had been loud enough for him to hear.

At this moment, listening to the continuous sounds of Jackson vomiting inside, Terry felt sorry for him.

Jackson had been labeled as unqualified yesterday, had his wound reopened by Lillian, and now was forced to vomit.

"His life is full of hardships and difficulties." Terry sighed.

He had previously thought Jackson could easily win back his wife with his excellent appearance.

Unexpectedly, the backlash came so quickly.

Jackson was still injured, and Lillian was ruthless enough to really torment him.
