Chapter 626
The car zoomed towards Star, getting way too close for comfort.
Right before the crash, Lillian shut her eyes, gripped the wheel like her life depended on it, and floored it.
She zoomed past, slammed the brakes, and peeked in the rearview mirror.
But there was no bloody Star on the ground or anywhere in sight.
The spot where Star had been was empty, and Lillian was gasping for air.
She was super tense, not sure if she heard a crash or if it was all in her head.
Did she even see Star, or was it just a trick of the light?
Or maybe, was Star stuck under the car?
While Lillian was lost in her thoughts, all freaked out...
In the flowerbed behind her, a bodyguard in black helped a slim figure stand up.
That slim figure? Totally Star.
At the last second, this bodyguard had come out of nowhere, tackled Star, and they both rolled into the flowerbed.
Star's head must've hit something 'cause blood was dripping down her forehead.
But when she locked eyes with Lillian, she shoved the bodyguard away and stumbled out of the flowerbed.
She waved and smirked at Lillian, raising an eyebrow.
Her eyes screamed pure disdain and sarcasm.
Her lips moved, and Lillian could tell she was calling her a loser.
Lillian tasted blood in her mouth, her eyes burning with hatred.
She threw the car in reverse and charged at Star again.
But just then, a car from the Price Mansion came out of nowhere, smacking into Lillian's rear bumper and stopping her right in front of Star.
"Help! Murder!" Star screamed, hitting the ground.
Lillian felt weak, the impact from behind shaking her up.
Seeing the bodyguards and servants rushing out from the mansion, Lillian knew she was done for.
A wave of helplessness washed over her, and she let go of the wheel, slumping against the seat.
The Price family bodyguards banged on the car door, shouting like crazy.
Lillian didn't fight back and opened the door.
They dragged her out, pinning her arms, and hauled her into the Price Mansion.
The bodyguards tossed her to the ground, and Lillian just lay there, numb.
Star, holding her bleeding forehead, was helped inside too. She shook off the servant's hand, squatted in front of Lillian, and yanked her hair hard.
Lillian's head was forced up, but she didn't make a sound.
She glared at Star, her eyes full of undying hatred.
Star sneered, leaning close to Lillian's ear.
"Want to avenge your son? Too bad you're too impulsive and stupid! Did you really think I'd come unprepared?"
Of course, Star knew Lillian came at her with a heart full of hate.
Did Lillian really think she'd be caught off guard?
It was all part of Star's plan.
"Did you guys tell Bob to kidnap me?" Lillian stared at Star, her eyes blazing.
Star curled her lips, and the face that usually looked all weak and pitiful now showed nothing but malice.
She leaned close to Lillian's ear, lowered her voice, and laughed.
