Chapter 205 Jackson! What are You up to again?

After Lillian cried for a while and let out her emotions, she felt much relieved.

She stood up and looked at Barry awkwardly.

With her head down, she noticed the coffee stains on Barry's chest at a glance.

If it weren’t for him, the coffee would have spilled on her. Lillian was more embarrassed.

She raised her head and said, "I'm sorry, Barry. I'll buy you a new shirt and a coat."

"Alright, let's go," Barry immediately responded.

Lillian was stunned and a bit slow to react.

Barry pointed to himself and remarked, "I can't go back to the hospital like this. If you want to compensate me with clothes, you need to go to the mall with me."

In fact, he had his own office at the hospital and plenty of spare clothes, as doctors often stayed overnight when busy.

Lillian didn't think much about it. She nodded and said, "Okay. But aren't you supposed to meet your colleagues?"

Barry chuckled, shaking his phone, "I can't meet them like this. It's impolite. I'll make a call to reschedule."

Lillian felt even more embarrassed. She pointed across the street and said, "I know there's a mall there. I bought clothes for Max there before, though it doesn't have luxury brands. If you don't mind..."

Barry interrupted her, "I'm not particular about brands. Let's go there."

"Then I'll wait for you on the roadside," Lillian responded.

The mall was not far across the street, so Lillian walked to the roadside to wait for Barry to drive over.

She took out her phone and looked down at Facebook. Suddenly, a car abruptly stopped beside her.

Lillian thought it was Barry. As she was about to look up, she felt her body was lifted.

Before she could react, she was picked up and stuffed into the back seat.

Then, the man slammed the door shut, and the car sped away immediately.

Lillian got up from the seat and turned around angrily, staring at Jackson, who had kidnapped her.

She asked, "Jackson! What are you doing again? I want to get off, and I have things to do!"

Jackson sat coldly, completely ignoring Lillian, his gaze scanning the rearview mirror.

He saw a car coming from behind. Barry stopped the car and stood on the roadside looking around, but he was destined not to find Lillian.

Jackson smirked, then finally looked at Lillian, sneering. "Let you get off to follow Barry? Do I look like generous?"

Lillian gritted her teeth as she said, "You indeed don't. You lack discernment, and you are arrogant and oppressive. You have quite the self-awareness."

Jackson let her say whatever she wanted, his handsome face calm.

He said, "Any other words? Let's hear them."

Lillian was speechless, her chest heaving, and then sat back.

She said, "If you don't let me go, let's go straight to the State Court. I'm feeling good since I've repaid the debt today. I'll pay for the divorce."

Jackson scoffed, "We can't go there."

"What do you mean?" Lillian frowned and suddenly turned to glare at Jackson.

Seeing her tense expression, Jackson clenched his teeth, took out a card, and threw it to Lillian.

He said, "The card's broken, so I didn't get the five million dollars."

Lillian looked at the card that was in two halves on her lap and was shocked. "How did this break?"

Jackson responded, "I don't know. It was so fragile, and it might be a fake one."
