Chapter 340 His Hand

Ambrose thought for a while, then hung up the call.

After all, it wasn't appropriate to answer Lillian's call so abruptly, and he didn't want Jackson to misunderstand.

On the other end of the phone.

Jackson stared at the disconnected call, his brow furrowed.

He was standing at the end of the hospital corridor, looking out the window at the emergency building.

He had just stood there and seemed to have seen a familiar figure being carried into the emergency building by Ambrose.

He thought, 'Why isn't Lillian answering the phone?'

Jackson was about to call again when Star's voice came from behind him. "Jackson, my mom is awake. She asked me to come get you."

Jackson turned around at the sound, nodded at Star, and put away his phone.

He turned and walked towards the hospital room, thinking, 'Lillian is at the Frane Mansion now. How can the woman who was just sent to the emergency room be her? She probably hung up on him because she was mad that I didn't come back to have lunch with her. Just like when we were kids, she was always so gentle with everyone. But she would often get mad at me, though she was easy to appease.'

Thinking about this, Jackson smiled softly.

He pushed open the hospital room door, and the smile gradually faded.

In the emergency room, Lillian lay on the hospital bed, her face pale, her expression calm but looking extremely weak.

"The pregnant woman experienced abdominal pain due to autonomic nervous dysfunction caused by extreme emotional agitation and intense fear, which led to gastrointestinal spasms. It's nothing serious," Jacob said.

Lillian's pale lips formed a bitter smile.

Even though she tried to convince herself not to believe Wendy's words, the hurt from Wendy's words still affected her body, something she couldn't deceive herself about.

It turned out that loving Jackson deeply could affect her this much.

That feeling was too bitter. Lillian no longer wanted Jackson to control all her emotions.

"Since she's pregnant, we won't use medication casually. Come here. I'll show you a few points to press for her," Jacob instructed Nathan.

Nathan quickly stepped forward and asked, "Where should I press?"

As Jacob explained, Nathan listened intently, his head lowered.

Jacob nodded in approval. "You do care about your wife. Then, try not to upset her. Pregnant women are already emotionally sensitive, and next time something like this happens, it could be dangerous."

Lillian was about to explain, but Nathan quickly promised, "I definitely won't upset her again. Thank you."

He winked at Lillian, and she didn't explain further.

"Alright. You can help her rest for a while. Once she recovers her energy, she can leave," Jacob said.

Jacob left, and Lillian propped herself up to sit and said, "Nathan, thank you for today. I feel much better."

Nathan sat down beside Lillian, took her hand, and massaged the points Jacob had mentioned, asking, "Lillian, what happened to you? Don't run into the street like that again. It's too dangerous."

Lillian nodded with a smile and pulled her hand away. "I can do it myself. Was it your brother who came with you to the hospital? Please thank him for me."

Lillian clearly didn't want to talk about her issues, and Nathan hesitated but didn't ask further.

Nathan said, "It was my cousin. He's waiting outside. Let me help you to massage. You don't have the strength."

Lillian tried to massage the points herself, but her fingers were so weak that she couldn't apply enough pressure.

Nathan took her hand again and continued massaging.

Lillian couldn't help but watch Nathan's hands. His hands were beautiful, with slender fingers, well-trimmed nails, and a healthy pink hue.

However, Lillian thought of Jackson's hands. His hands were also very beautiful, with perfect lunulas on each nail.

They were equally slender, but Nathan's hands still had a bit of youthful thinness. His palms weren't as broad and strong as Jackson's, which always exuded a sense of strength, giving her a feeling of safety and making her want to be held by them.
