Chapter 761

Star immediately put on a smile and stepped forward, saying, "Mr. Ford, welcome. The contract signing office is all set up..."

However, before she could finish her sentence, Ronnie, who had a very gloomy expression in the elevator, interrupted her.

"No rush, Ms. Price. First, tell me, did you do what you promised?"

Star didn't expect him to be so blunt, questioning her in front of everyone.

Her expression changed slightly, especially as she felt the atmosphere around her shift.

Everyone was looking at her with eyes full of curiosity and suspicion.

What did Ronnie mean? What had Star promised him?

His words were vague and ambiguous, making it seem like there was some shady deal between Star and Ronnie.

Star quickly said, "You just asked me to help make a call to Jackson to explain the misunderstanding. Of course, I did it. I just made the call. If you don't believe me, you can ask Bianca."

Star looked at Bianca, who immediately nodded and smiled.

"Yes, she made the call. Star did it right in front of me. Mr. Ford, look, so many people are waiting, and everything is ready. Let's sign the contract first, and then..."

Ronnie interrupted Bianca again, "What did Mr. Frane say?"

Ronnie kept pressing, not moving an inch.

With so many people watching, Star was getting anxious and regretted making such a big scene.

She stepped forward and lowered her voice, "I personally called Jackson to explain. Jackson took it seriously and said these were minor issues. He would instruct his team to handle it well today, so you don't need to worry. Everything will proceed as usual."

Star looked proud, thinking that Ronnie would be grateful and eager to sign the contract with her after hearing this.

But to her surprise, the next second, Ronnie's gloomy expression turned into a fierce one.

"You're full of lies! You never intended to help me. You didn't call Mr. Frane at all! And you still want to deceive me!"

As he spoke, he forcefully shoved Star.

Star stumbled back with a scream, only to be caught by Bianca, preventing her from falling to the ground.

Even so, Star was utterly humiliated in front of her colleagues.

"What are you doing? How can you suddenly get physical? Do you know that Star is Mr. Frane's lifesaver and childhood friend?" Bianca scolded angrily while supporting Star.

Ronnie, however, sneered and said, "Stop elevating yourself! She didn't even dare to make the call and claims to be Jackson's future wife. What a joke."

"How can you say that? Star just said she made the call..." Bianca's words were cut off as Ronnie spat at her in anger.

"If she really made the call, wouldn't she know that I've already been suspended?" Ronnie shouted.

Bianca, with spit on her face, felt disgusted and nauseous.

She pushed Star away and screamed, wiping her face vigorously and covering her mouth, trying not to vomit.

Seeing her reaction, Ronnie, already furious, became even more enraged.

He pointed at Star and yelled louder. "What kind of lousy annual meeting plan is this? No creativity at all, a complete mess. If it weren't for her claiming to be Jackson's future wife, how could I have left the cooperation to her?

"We have a mutually beneficial relationship. Now that the cooperation has failed, you want to use me? How shameless! I think you're just guilty and can't even speak to Mr. Frane. You want the contract? Fine, here you go!"

Ronnie shouted angrily, taking out the contract and throwing it forcefully at Star.

The papers hit Star's face and scattered everywhere.

The edge of the paper even left a small cut on Star's nose.

She retreated in embarrassment, surrounded by gasps.

Ronnie wanted to step forward again, but an employee, sensing the situation was getting out of hand, called security to pull Ronnie away.

Star and Bianca, under the strange and questioning gazes of their colleagues, retreated into the office.

Pulling down the blinds, Star started cursing in anger.

"He deserved to be reported. He's ruined and still wants to drag others down. What an idiot, making enemies everywhere!"

As Star was cursing, the office door opened.

An assistant came in with the contract that had been thrown at Star.

"Ms. Price, where should I put this contract?"

Seeing the contract, Star felt humiliated, thinking the assistant was there to remind her of her shame. Her expression turned ugly.

"Who let you in? Get out!"

"I asked him to bring it in. Calm down first," Bianca said, stepping forward to take the contract.

The assistant quickly disappeared.

Star took a mirror, looking at the small cut on her nose, and said angrily.

"Why did you have him pick up the contract?"

"What if Star Group has already signed and stamped it?" Bianca said, flipping through the contract quickly. Star's eyes lit up, following her with hope.

She hurriedly leaned in, but to their disappointment, the contract was clean, with no signatures or stamps.

Star grabbed the contract, ready to throw it in the trash, but Bianca stopped her.

"Don't be in such a hurry to throw it away. Take the contract to Star Group again. Ronnie is useless, but maybe the director at Star Group is more sensible."

After all, her video couldn't have been spread for nothing.

Star's mind stirred, and she nodded, "I'll contact Star Group now and schedule a meeting with Ms. Ross."

She immediately called Star Group's HR department.

The call was quickly answered, and Star expressed her desire to schedule a meeting with Electra to discuss the annual meeting cooperation.

To her surprise, the other side said, "Sorry, Ms. Ross's schedule is full today. Also, if it's about the annual meeting cooperation, we've already signed a contract."

Star couldn't believe it.

Ronnie had just come to deliver the contract, and they were about to sign it. How could Star Group have signed with another company so quickly?

"How is that possible? You must be mistaken. Ronnie and I had already discussed it yesterday, and we were just waiting to sign the contract."

"Sorry, I don't know the specifics, but Ronnie has been suspended and is under investigation. All his deals are being re-evaluated. And yes, the annual meeting contract has been signed."

Star had a bad feeling and asked urgently, "Which company did you sign with?"

The other side didn't hide it and said with a smile, "It's The Kelly Media."

Star gritted her teeth, her hands trembling slightly as she held the phone.

Sure enough! This must be the work of that bitch Lillian!

Lillian was despicable. She had already left Miracalia, so why did she come back?

Why did she have to compete with her for everything!
