Chapter 619

Jackson gave them a nod and said, "Did you get the gift? Thank you for checking in on Lilian. Once she's back on her feet, we'll thank you properly."

Jackson had Terry drop off a big gift at the Kelly's place, Mystic Meadows, in Miracalia today.

"I don't care about your gift; I want to see Ophelia," Flora said, all anxious.

Lyra chimed in, sounding serious, "Jackson, where the heck is Lilian? Are you really gonna be this stubborn?"

Lyra had made it clear that if Lilian wasn't brought back, she wasn't leaving the hospital, which forced Jackson to show up.

But even then, Jackson didn't bring Lilian back.

He walked over to the bed, helping Lyra up, and said, "Grandma, Lilian's fine. She's already asleep. If you don't believe me, see for yourself."

Jackson pulled out his phone and opened the photo album.

Lilian was lying in bed, looking all peaceful in her sleep.

Jackson had snapped the photo right before he left.

Lyra frowned, took a look, then handed the phone to Flora, and said to Jackson, "Let me call Lilian."

"Grandma, I told you, she's asleep."

His attitude was clear as day; he wasn't bringing Lilian back to the hospital, and no one was changing his mind.

He was just being stubborn, and Lyra couldn't do anything about it.

She knew Jackson well. Even if she gave him a good beating, it wouldn't change a thing.

Years ago, when Jackson refused to marry Lilian, she had beaten him up pretty bad, leaving his back covered in wounds, and he reluctantly agreed to the marriage.

But Lyra knew deep down that Jackson had agreed because he wanted to; otherwise, even beating him to death wouldn't have worked.

Lyra sighed, feeling helpless.

Flora looked at the photo and, after some convincing from Oberon, reluctantly accepted that she couldn't see Lilian, though she was still upset.

They said their goodbyes to Lyra, and Ambrose helped Flora out of the hospital room. An assistant came over with a bag.

Ambrose took the bag and handed it to Jackson, saying, "These are homemade desserts and aromatherapy sachets from my grandma. Mr. Frane, you mind passing them on?"

"Sure, I'll take them for Lilian. Thanks."

Jackson took the bag, and Ambrose nodded before heading out.

Once in the car, Oberon said, "Jackson's great in every way, except he's so controlling with Lilian."

Ambrose tapped his fingers on the steering wheel, deep in thought.

He thought about the investigation report on Lilian he got that morning. He hadn't known before that Lilian wasn't actually a Young.

It was only after Bob kidnapped Lilian that he found out and had someone look into it. Then he discovered something pretty wild.

Lilian was born on the same day as Anouk.

Back then, Ophelia sent him to Miracalia for a Go tournament. During that trip, she unexpectedly went into early labor, so Anouk was born in a small hospital in Miracalia.

Unfortunately, the Sivan family and the Young family had swapped babies back then. To protect Wendy, the Sivan family had messed with Lilian's birth info.

The investigation report didn't show which hospital Lilian was born in.

He came today to confirm some things with Lilian, but he didn't expect Jackson to take her away.

"Ambrose? What are you thinking about?"

Oberon suddenly raised his voice, snapping Ambrose back to reality. He looked at Oberon.
