Chapter 533

Gray added her on Facebook and sent a message. [Send me the photo.]

Wren chuckled, walked back to her seat, and then sent a photo over.

Gray opened it.

It was a night scene in the mountains, with a crescent moon hanging in the sky. Under the moonlight, a tent cast shadows of two intertwined figures.

He zoomed in with his fingers, looked at it for a while, and a wild, desirous smile appeared on his lips.

Wren noticed his mischievous smile and typed.

[I have something more exciting. Want to meet up?]

Just as she sent it, a red alert immediately popped up. Wren's face changed instantly.

Gray didn't look up. He saved the photo, switched to his feed, and refreshed it, only to find that Shirley's recent post had disappeared.

She actually deleted it?

Such a good girl?

Gray sighed and opened Shirley's chat.

[You are being so good today. Tell me, what do you want?]

Shirley replied quickly.

[I forgot you were a traitor too!]

'Traitor?' Gray felt something was off. He quickly clicked on Shirley's Facebook profile and checked her feed.

Sure enough, all of Shirley's posts were gone.

Shirley hadn't just deleted that post. She had restricted his access through privacy settings.

In an instant, Gray's face darkened.

Meanwhile, at the hospital ward, when Jackson received Gray's Facebook message, Star on the hospital bed had not yet woken up.

Jackson opened the photo. Even though the figures were blurry, he could immediately recognize the woman being fawned over by the men in the center as Lillian.

And even though he couldn't see her expression, Jackson inexplicably felt that she was smiling at other men.

He suddenly gripped his phone tightly and was about to turn around when Star on the bed suddenly screamed, "No! Mom, no!"

Jackson paused, turned back, and saw that Star was clearly trapped in a nightmare.

Her face was pale, covered in cold sweat, and her hands were flailing wildly in the air, filled with fear and unease.

Jackson frowned, his gaze falling on Star's obviously deformed right hand. He finally turned around and leaned down to pat Star's shoulder.

But Star seemed to sink deeper into her nightmare, suddenly crying and screaming, "Go away, don't touch me! I'll be good. I won't dare anymore. Please don't hit me!"

Over the years, Star had been through a lot, suffering from hungry and cold, frequently locked up and beaten.

And now, the nightmares haunting her were clearly the result of these years of suffering.

Jackson's body stiffened slightly, and a hint of emotion broke through his cold eyes. He called out in a deep voice, "Star, wake up!"

But Star still didn't wake up, and her flailing hand even hit Jackson.

Jackson's frown deepened, and he grabbed Star's hand.

Only then did Star suddenly open her eyes. Seeing her awake, Jackson let go and said, "I'll get the doctor for you."

But Star's eyes were full of pain and fear, tears rolling down her cheeks. She stared blankly at Jackson, then grabbed his hand and said,"Jackson, is it really you? Is it really you? I thought you would never care about me again."

She sobbed pitifully and raised her other hand to touch Jackson's handsome face.
