Chapter 377 Argument
Jackson didn't stop, exuding coldness.
Daisy rushed forward and grabbed Jackson.
Seeing that he was serious, Daisy became a bit flustered, her expression scared, and she said pitifully with tears, "Jackson, I'm your mother. How could I hurt you? Think about it yourself. You and Lillian have always been using contraception. When Lillian got pregnant, why was she so secretive about it and even went abroad? And now, she refuses to drink the soup I made for her. I found out she even joined a dance troupe and plans to perform while pregnant! She clearly wants to miscarry the baby. She's suspicious, so I want to find out the truth. I can't let her deceive you. Today in the operating room, she admitted herself that the baby isn't yours."
Jackson's fists clenched slightly, his expression gloomy.
He slowly turned to look at Daisy, sneered, and said, "Are you really concerned about me being deceived or whether this child can match Jeffrey's blood type? Do you think I'm a fool who can't tell the difference?"
If Daisy was apprehensively worried about Jackson being deceived and cared about his feelings, shouldn't she have helped cover it up to minimize the harm to him?
However, Daisy didn't.
She only cared about whether Taylor could match Jeffrey's blood type.
Her worry caused her anger that if Taylor weren't really Jackson's, Jeffrey would lose hope of being saved.
Daisy was stared at by his sharp eyes, her expression stiff, feeling extremely guilty.
She nervously licked her lips to cover up, saying, "Jackson, you can't think of me like that. You're my first child. How could I not care about you? Even if it's for Jeffrey, he is your brother. Don't you want him to get better soon? Why are you so angry about having your child do a blood match with Jeffrey?"
Daisy's voice grew louder and more righteous.
When Jackson looked at Daisy without any guilt, even though he had scoffed at the motherly love, he still felt a sudden chill to the bone.
He suddenly sneered, leaning close to Daisy and saying hoarsely, "From the day I was born until now, have you ever treated me as your son? In your eyes, am I not just the grim killer who killed your three children? So, you don't want me to live a peaceful life, and you can't treat my wife well. Right, mother?"
Jackson's voice was very calm, but it was excruciating for Daisy to hear.
His gaze was cold and mocking, like a sharp sword piercing Daisy's heart.
Daisy trembled as she let go of Jackson's hand.
Her expression became shocked, and she took a step back and fell to the ground, clutching her chest.
Daisy shook her head constantly, murmuring, "No, I'm not! I don't think that way. How can you think of me like that?"
Her voice suddenly became sharp as she shouted, "No! It's you who are wrong! Just because Lillian suffered a little grievance, you hurt me like this! You ungrateful child! People outside say you are cold and ruthless, and they are absolutely right!"
Jackson had already withdrawn his gaze and strode out of Golden Oaks Manor.
The curses behind him faintly reached his ears, but he did not stop and left there.
Outside, the sky was overcast, with no stars in sight.
Jackson's figure seemed inexplicably lonely.
