Chapter 625

Violet kept yapping away, and when she spotted two of Lillian's nightgowns tossed by the bed, she just folded them up like it was no big deal.

Before she could finish her sentence, a sudden, dull pain smacked the back of her neck, and she was out cold.

Lillian stood there, gripping an iron pipe she had carefully yanked from the floor lamp.

Seeing Violet hit the floor, Lillian quickly jumped off the bed and dragged Violet onto it.

Worried Violet might wake up, she found some clothes to tie up Violet's hands and feet and gagged her mouth. Only then did Lillian collapse, panting, by the bedside.

Just doing that had wiped her out.

But Lillian had noticed Violet had been heading out to grab food at 4:30 in the afternoon for the past couple of days.

It was almost that time, so Lillian forced herself to stand up and quickly left the room.

The villa was dead quiet, and Lillian slipped into Violet's room without a hitch.

When Lillian came out, she was wearing a hat, carrying a shopping bag, and walking with her head slightly bowed and her back hunched, nailing Violet's posture.

She grabbed the car keys at the door, took a deep breath, and left the villa.

Outside in the hallway, two bodyguards were standing around.

Lillian walked past them towards the parking lot.

Both bodyguards turned to look at her. Her bag tilted, and a pen fell out, rolling down the slope.

She quickly turned to chase it for a few steps, picked up the pen, and kept walking.

The two bodyguards couldn't see her face, but they knew Violet always had a slight tilt to her right shoulder when she walked. So, based on Lillian's gait and clothes, they figured she was Violet.

Lillian got into the car without a hitch. As she drove away from the villa, the bodyguards at the gate, used to Violet going out at this time, didn't think twice.

Lillian's heart pounded as she left the villa.

She knew that at five o'clock, the private doc would come upstairs to disinfect and change her wound dressings, and by then, they'd know something was up.

She had only half an hour. She didn't waste a second and sped towards the Price family's.

When Jackson got the call from the bodyguard, learning that Lillian had disguised herself as Violet and bailed from the villa, his face went pale.

"Mr. Frane, I'll pull up the surveillance footage right away to find out where Mrs. Frane went."

Harry said, about to start the search, but Jackson cut him off in a deep voice, "She must be heading to the Price Mansion. Turn around!"

Flashes of Lillian's weird behavior today crossed his mind. His hand, resting on his knee, clenched into a fist, trembling slightly.

He wanted her forgiveness so bad that he stupidly thought she was slowly accepting Taylor's departure when she asked where he was going. When she grabbed his arm, he even smugly believed her attitude was getting better.

She must have known he left last night and this morning, aware he was hiding something from her.

That was why she escaped the villa. Jackson's forehead veins bulged.

Damn it, he just hoped he could find her in time and stop her from doing something crazy.

"Send everyone to the Price Mansion to intercept her!"

Jackson ordered Harry in a deep voice.

"It's been half an hour. The villa isn't far from the Price Mansion. We might not make it in time."

Harry said worriedly as he made calls.

Something big was about to go down.

Jackson took out his phone and called Star, his eyes filled with anxiety.

But the call wouldn't go through.

Meanwhile, outside the Price Mansion.

Lillian's car had already arrived. Five minutes ago, she used Violet's phone to call Star.

She said she was outside the community and wanted to talk to Star. As expected, Star immediately had the gate opened for her.

Lillian drove smoothly into the community. When she reached the Price Mansion, Star had already come out of the house, smiling brightly as she approached the slowly moving car.

Lillian stared at Star's smug smile, the veins on the back of her hand gripping the steering wheel bulging. Without any hesitation, she suddenly floored it and drove straight at her.
