Chapter 792

Jackson didn't react much either. He even bent down slightly to accommodate Lillian's height.

Lillian successfully grabbed Jackson's ear, feeling a surge of joy and ready to exert force, but the next second...

Her body was suddenly lifted off the ground as Jackson wrapped his arm around her waist and lifted her high.

Lillian exclaimed in surprise, letting go of Jackson's ear in fear and instead wrapping her arms around his neck.

She looked down, and Jackson looked up.

The crystal chandelier in the bedroom cast a bright light, making Jackson's eyelashes stand out clearly, and his pupils reflected Lillian's slightly stunned face.

Their breaths mingled, and the room suddenly fell silent.

"You don't explain why you hugged him, and you're still mad at me." Jackson's low voice cut through the sudden quiet in the room.

His tone wasn't exactly accusing, but there was a touch of hurt in it. Still, his grip on her only tightened.

Lillian felt like her thighs were about to be crushed by him, and she found it somewhat amusing.

"Does it bother you?"

"Of course!" Jackson muttered.

Lillian raised an eyebrow, "But it seems like you don't have the right to be bothered now, my ex-husband."

Jackson's face turned ugly at the mention of "ex-husband."

He really didn't like that term, as it constantly reminded him that he had lost Lillian and of their divorce.

"But you agreed to let me pursue you! Aren't I your prospective boyfriend? I don't like you being ambiguous with other men."

Seeing him so emotionally anxious, Lillian found it intriguing and wanted to tease him even more.

She frowned, "Who told you that agreeing to let you pursue me means you're my prospective boyfriend? There are many men pursuing me, and you're just in the evaluation period like the rest of them."

Jackson almost laughed out of sheer frustration, his eyes narrowing dangerously. "So, other guys can hold you like this and even kiss you too?"

Lillian wanted to tease him but was also afraid he might go crazy and embarrass them in front of Ambrose.

She gently curved her eyebrows and suddenly lowered her head to plant a kiss on Jackson's thin lips.

Jackson was completely stunned. He stared at Lillian, who was so close, and his mind went blank for a moment.

He only felt that the light was too dazzling, causing a sense of dizziness and lack of oxygen, making him feel unsteady.

He had never dared to hope that Lillian would take the initiative with him again.

But this wasn't what Lillian had in mind. She thought that with Jackson's current behavior as a kiss-hungry maniac, he would continue as soon as she kissed him.

But to her surprise, he didn't react at all, making her feel like she was kissing a piece of wood.

Was he really angry?

Lillian glanced up, studying Jackson's face, her cheeks flushing. "A kiss like that? That's it. You're the only one I've ever kissed, got it? And just now, Ambrose poured his heart out, and I rejected him. The hug? Just being polite, nothing else…"

Before she could finish, Jackson, looking like he'd been hit by a truck, blinked hard and cut her off. "Did you just kiss me?"

Lillian looked at his dazed expression and couldn't help but smile wryly.

She rolled her eyes at him, "You're asking me? I..."

Before she could finish, Jackson suddenly kissed her, his breath hot as he explored her lips, as if trying to confirm that everything was real with a more intimate and passionate touch.

While kissing her, Jackson suddenly started spinning around.

Lillian, already held high by him, felt dizzy as the lights above her spun, the starry lights making her feel even more disoriented. She could only hold onto Jackson's neck tighter and press closer to him.

After a dizzying spin, Jackson fell onto the bed with her, and they bounced gently on the mattress.

Lillian pushed Jackson away, turning her head to catch her breath.

"What are you doing! Get up, you're crushing me."

Jackson tightened his arms around her, hugging her tightly before propping himself up on his elbows and lifting his body.

But he didn't completely move away. Instead, he hovered above her, his deep eyes filled with amusement as he gazed at her flushed cheeks and charming appearance.

"Baby, did you just say you rejected him?"

Jackson's presence loomed over her, his shadow almost suffocating, like a predator ready to strike.

Feeling the pressure, Lillian gave in and nodded quickly. "Yeah, I rejected him."

A smile flickered in Jackson's eyes as he realized it was just a pity hug after the rejection.

He kept his grin in check, pretending to sound concerned. "Is he okay?"

Before Lillian could reply, he went on, "Wait, that came out wrong. I'm not doubting Mr. Kelly. A guy like him? He'll bounce back in no time. Honestly, there's plenty of fine ladies in Miracalia. He even set Shirley up on a few dates. Maybe we should return the favor and hook him up with someone?"

Even though Lillian had turned Ambrose down, he was still a force to be reckoned with—a nearly perfect rival for Jackson.

If Ambrose didn't start seeing someone soon and settle down with a woman, Jackson would always feel like he was on edge.

Lillian arched a brow, a smirk tugging at her lips. "Oh, really? You know a lot of 'fine ladies,' huh? Who? Enlighten me."

Jackson's radar went off, and he quickly backtracked. "I don't know them. I'm just saying Terry could dig up some names, you know, do the legwork."

Lillian let out a soft laugh, teasing him. "Right. The 'good women' you know are Star and Wendy. Let's not wreck Ambrose by introducing him to your crew."

Jackson fell silent.

How did this conversation become more dangerous?

Cold sweat broke out on his back, and he quickly changed the subject.

"You rejected Ambrose, but you still say I'm not your prospective boyfriend? Are you trying to make me anxious?"

Lillian smiled without saying a word.

"Bad girl." Jackson then did a push-up, suddenly getting close and lightly biting her delicate neck.

A tingling sensation spread throughout her body, and Lillian pushed the man away, annoyed.

"Get up!"

"Then say I'm your prospective boyfriend!"

Lillian didn't respond.

"Hurry up and say it," Jackson urged, lowering his body to kiss her again.

Lillian sighed, "You are, you are, okay? You've even made my bed wet. If you keep this up, forget being a prospective boyfriend, I'll take away your queue number too."

Jackson had been sneaking around outside, inevitably getting a bit wet from the rain.

He propped himself up with his long arms, leaping off the bed and pulling Lillian up as well.

"My girlfriend, go take a shower. I'll take care of this."
