Chapter 204 The Pain of Cutting the Palm
Jackson said, "She is my wife. If you really hope we are happy, you should keep your distance from her."
Barry smiled, "Life is long. Things will change."
In other words, Lillian was Jackson's wife now, but she might become Barry's in the future.
Jackson understood this statement clearly.
Jenny, of course, also understood. She shed tears immediately and grabbed Barry's arm.
"Barry, do you really like Lillian?" she sobbed.
It was hard for her to accept that Barry, whom she loved but couldn’t have, to be the homewrecker for Lillian, whom she looked down upon.
This was a huge blow to her.
Barry pulled his arm away and said, "Jenny, it's none of your business whom I like. I will never like you who is foul-mouthed and mean and insults others."
Jenny was shocked.
Barry actually said she was mean. It was Lillian who had splashed coffee on her and slapped her!
How could Barry be so biased? Jenny was on the verge of collapse, tears rolling down her cheeks, but Barry had walked away briskly.
She stomped and looked at Jackson with a sense of grievance. "Jackson, Lillian was with Barry in front of you..."
Before she could finish her words, Jackson turned to look at her.
His icy stare scared Jenny into silence, and her face turned pale.
"What did you just do?" Jackson questioned coldly.
Feeling guilty, Jenny lowered her head. "What could I do? I went to the hospital to find Barry but inadvertently saw Lillian dating him. So, I just asked some questions."
Jenny licked her lips nervously. She felt that Jackson seemed like a demon from hell to her, although he appeared calm at the moment.
Jenny said, "My face hurts so much, and I'm in a mess. I have to go."
She wanted to leave, but Jackson raised his hand to stop her,,instructing Terry, "Keep an eye on her and find out what's going on."
With that, he bent down to pick up the account book and card from the ground, then strode towards the door.
Jenny clutched her hands, and her face grew even paler. She tried to push past Terry in front of her anxiously. "I need to go to the hospital to check my face and change clothes. Move aside."
However, Terry smiled at Jenny and said, "Jenny, do you want to explain voluntarily, or should I have the bodyguard watch you and then ask the waiter?"
Lillian hurried out of the cafe, feeling her face was cool amid the cold air. She wiped her face and realized tears were falling unconsciously.
She wiped away the tears, raising her head to hold them back.
Barry followed her out and handed her a tissue, saying gently, "Just cry if you want. I'll shield you, and no one can see you."
He took a step forward, unbuttoned his coat, and spread it out.
Standing at the corner, Lillian was shielded by him, creating a small space of privacy.
Lillian had almost stopped crying, but now, she couldn't hold back. She crouched down, hugging her shoulders, trembling silently.
Barry looked down at her, his expression unusually gentle and compassionate.
Jackson came out of the cafe and searched quickly. As his gaze turned towards them, his eyes suddenly sharpened like knives, and his fingers tightened unconsciously.
With a snap, the bank card broke in his palm. The force caused a cut in his hand, leading to blood falling on the ground.
