Chapter 784

"I'm really sorry, you have to be strong."

Gray hadn't reacted yet when Shirley bowed deeply to him twice with great sincerity.

"Shirley! I'm not dead yet, and you're already mourning me?"

The veins on Gray's forehead throbbed with anger.

He leaped out of bed, barefoot, and forcefully pulled Shirley, who was bowing, into his arms, glaring at her angrily. "How can you be so heartless? I've been hurt so badly by you, and instead of feeling guilty and reflecting on it, you even want to shirk responsibility and go find another man to enjoy yourself?"

Gray's eyes were filled with extreme anger and disbelief as he glared at Shirley.

Shirley's arms ached from his grip. She suppressed her annoyance and frowned. "Don't be so agitated. That's not how logic and reason work."

"Then how do they work?" Gray almost wanted to bite Shirley to death.

He stared at Shirley, hoping to see some different emotions on her face.

Like concern and care for him, sadness, and guilt.

But there was none.

Shirley really didn't care at all.

He wanted to hear what kind of reasoning she could come up with.

"We're already over, we have nothing to do with each other. I was going on a proper date today. By now, I might have already succeeded in my date and could be holding hands and walking by the river with the gentle and elegant Miguel. But you made things difficult for me, humiliated me, got me drunk, and brought me here.

"You also tried to take advantage of me when I was drunk and unconscious, and when that didn't work, you tried to smother me. I was just defending myself. It's your own fault for being so self-destructive."

Gray was so angry that his vision went black. Did Shirley drink fake alcohol?

She didn't remember anything and even tried to turn the tables!

If he could go back a few hours and have another chance, he would never let Shirley touch a drop of alcohol. He should have knocked her out and tied her up directly.

"When did I try to take advantage of you? You threw up all over me, and I kindly helped you clean up and change your clothes. Instead of being grateful, you kicked me as soon as you woke up!

"You gave me myocarditis with that kick, and I haven't even held you accountable. You jumped into the pool yourself, and I put aside our differences to save you. Otherwise, you would have drowned!

And just now, you rolled off the bed yourself. I kindly rushed over to protect your head, and you kicked me again, targeting the weak spot."

Shirley looked skeptical. "You jumped into the pool to save me? You were afraid I'd get hurt and protected me when I fell off the bed?"

Gray chuckled. Now she should be grateful and moved, right?

But the next second, Shirley sneered. "Would you be so kind? If you were really that kind, you wouldn't have gotten me drunk in the first place."

Gray was speechless.

He couldn't explain it to Shirley. Gray was so angry that he paced around the room with his hands on his hips.

Shirley raised an eyebrow and said, "Out of humanitarian spirit, I've already apologized and promised to get a doctor to treat you and cover all the costs.

But if you expect me to waste my life with you because of your self-inflicted injuries, that's not going to happen."

She shrugged. "I've said what I needed to say. You should rest well. Maybe someday a woman will be willing to be with you for your looks and family background and have a platonic relationship with you."

Shirley started to walk out of the bedroom, and Gray was about to explode with anger.

"Shirley, do you really think I have no temper?"

Gray angrily rushed forward, picked Shirley up, and threw her onto the bed.

Before Shirley could get up, Gray's tall body pressed down on her, fitting perfectly.

Shirley raised her hand to struggle, but Gray grabbed her hands and pinned them above her head.

Gray lowered his head, his angry kiss falling on Shirley's neck, sucking and lightly biting as a punishment.

His hot kisses spread downward, and his anger turned into uncontrollable desire.

It wasn't until Shirley's corset nightgown was torn open that Gray realized something was wrong.

Why wasn't Shirley struggling? And she was too quiet.

Gray suddenly lifted his head and met Shirley's mocking and slightly disdainful gaze.

Their eyes met, and Shirley raised her red lips and said coolly. "You're hurting me!"

Gray hadn't reacted yet when Shirley once again kneed towards his groin.

Here she goes again!

Gray quickly rolled to the side to avoid it.

But because of this evasive move, he lost control of Shirley. She flipped over, got up, and kneed Gray's top-rated celebrity butt without mercy.

Gray fell off the bed, but luckily his balance was strong enough to stagger a few steps and steady himself by holding onto the sofa, instead of face-planting into the carpet.

"Shirley! My face is insured for a fortune. Can you afford to pay for the damage?"

Gray turned around angrily, and on the bed, Shirley had already pulled her clothes together and got off the bed from the other side.

She chuckled and nodded. "It should be insured. After all, with your behavior, you should cherish the chance to be a human in this lifetime."

Gray's face was full of anger. "Shirley, do you really think I don't dare to touch you?"

Shirley crossed her arms and looked down. "Why are you pretending? Didn't you say you couldn't have sex?"

Gray followed Shirley's gaze downward, his waist and hips slightly bent, instinctively trying to cover up.

Unfortunately, his reaction was too obvious to hide.

His expression was a bit embarrassed, but he quickly regained his composure and said angrily. "That's because I recover quickly and have a good physique. But it still hurts now. What if there are aftereffects? Besides, it's only right to be responsible for hurting someone."

Shirley laughed. "Even after being exposed, you still speak so confidently. No wonder you're always in heat like a non-human."

She didn't want to argue with Gray anymore and started to leave.

Gray saw her about to leave without a word and angrily stepped forward again, blocking Shirley's way, and said bluntly. "Shirley, I'll give you one more chance. Come back to me."

Shirley's expression didn't change. She just said calmly.

"I hurt you, but you also got me drunk. We're even. Stop saying things I don't understand. Lilian is waiting for me. Move aside."
