Chapter 683

Lillian glanced at Jackson's stern face, and her breath hitched for a moment.

Shirley was pretty shocked too. It seemed like Jackson had picked up some plain-speaking skills while Gray was going backward.

Mike, since he showed up, hadn't said a word.

But now, hearing Jackson's orders, Mike waved at John and said, "Come on, man. Pay more attention next time, or no one will be able to save you."

Mike gave John a solid pat on the head, and John realized he had almost messed things up big time.

John quickly got his act together, led his crew to shut the private room door, and stood guard at the entrance.

Mike walked over to Lillian with a smile and said, "Lillian, you must be tired. Why don't you and Ms. James take a seat? I'll get someone to bring some fruit and drinks, and we can chat."

Shirley looked at Mike and laughed. "Mike, you really get it, unlike some people who are just clueless."

Gray saw Shirley smiling at Mike and felt his blood boil.

He shook off Bianca's hand, walked over, yanked Mike away from Shirley, and said coldly, "My foot's hurt, didn't you see? Get your club's doctor over here to check it out. If it's a fracture and messes with my mobility, some people are gonna pay."

Shirley rolled her eyes, treating him like a barking dog, not even giving him a glance.

Bianca and Star, though, weren't as chill. The women gathered behind Star and Bianca, eyeing the closed private room door and the circle of security and bodyguards in black, looking pretty worried.

Bianca and Star exchanged a look, and Bianca, seizing the moment while Gray was talking, whispered to Star, "Star, go and plead with Mr. Frane."

Star's face turned sour; she didn't think she could do it. She refused, "This mess started because of you. It's all Sarah's doing. What are you scared of? You and Gray are supposed to get married. You go talk to Mr. Flores."

Bianca got a bit desperate. "It's not Gray who's making a fuss now; it's Mr. Frane. Didn't you say you and Mr. Frane were tight, and he even missed his wedding for you? Go plead with him. Or were you lying about all that?"

The more Bianca talked, the worse Star's expression got. Finally, she suddenly shoved Bianca from behind.

Bianca yelped, stumbled forward a few steps, and ended up right in front of Jackson and the others, catching everyone's attention.

Biting her lip, Bianca had no choice but to say, "Ms. James's issue has nothing to do with us. I get Ms. Young's and Ms. James's feelings, but we need to leave now. Why won't you let us go?"

Bianca then looked at Mike, raising her chin a bit, and said, "Mr. Green, haven't Horizon Hive Media's artists been good to your business? We come to your club to spend money, and now not only did we not get proper service, but we're also being held here. You need to explain, or our Porter Family and our artists will never come here again!"

The more Bianca talked, the more confident she got. With Sarah already taking the fall for Shirley's issue, she felt pretty safe.

The Porter Family had some pull in Miracalia.

But Mike just raised an eyebrow and smiled. "Ms. Porter, don't be in such a rush, or it'll look like you have something to hide."

"What do you mean?" Bianca snapped.

Lillian chuckled and said, "Why don't you check out this video before you start arguing."

As she finished speaking, the video started playing on the screen.

It was the clip Lillian had live-streamed to Lucy earlier, capturing Bianca's smug and disdainful expression perfectly.

"Stop it! Turn it off! Who recorded this? Get out here!" Bianca's face went pale, and she rushed towards the screen in a panic. She hadn't expected Lillian to have such a video.

Clearly, someone in the private room had been bribed by Lillian to record this.

The video kept playing, now showing the part where Lucy rushed in to fight with Sarah.

Unable to turn it off, Bianca stormed towards Lillian and Shirley, glaring at them. "Why didn't you say you had a video earlier?"

Lillian, amused by her frantic state, curled her lips. "We wanted to see you act all clever, struggling on your own. It's quite entertaining."

"You!" Bianca pointed at Lillian in anger.

But as soon as she raised her hand, Jackson gave a look, and a security guard stepped forward, pulling Bianca away.

In pain, Bianca looked at Gray with red eyes. "Gray!"

Gray's face was ashen, and watching the video, his eyes filled with shame and anger.

He looked at Bianca with irritation and turned his head away.

Seeing him so heartless, Bianca bit her lip and looked at Lillian and Shirley.

"What do you want?" she asked through gritted teeth.

Lillian looked at Shirley, as this was Shirley's matter.

Shirley raised an eyebrow and said, "Not much, just post the video online and let everyone see your way of handling things."

If this video went online, not only would Bianca be exposed and scolded, but the Porter family and the company would also be affected.

Bianca's expression turned panicked. "No! I'll pay compensation, name your price. Or, if you want resources, Horizon Hive Media can give you. As long as Sarah clarifies online, you can be freed. Shirley, I think you're a sensible person and should know how to maximize benefits, right?"

Bianca still had an air of superiority. In her eyes, Shirley wasn't worth her concern, someone who could be easily dealt with using resources and money.

Even if Shirley had Lillian's support, and Lillian had Jackson behind her, so what?

Shirley still had nothing. What good would it do to go head-to-head with Horizon Hive Media?

Shirley laughed self-deprecatingly and nodded. "Ms. Porter, are you looking to reconcile? If so, then start with a sincere apology."

Shirley pulled Lillian back a couple of steps, swept the items off the coffee table, and sat down, waiting for Bianca to apologize.

Bianca gritted her teeth. "I'm sorry."

Shirley asked leisurely, "Is that your attitude? Forget it then..."

Bianca interrupted Shirley, unable to lower her noble head. "Shirley, don't go too far! Aren't you just relying on Mr. Frane's power? You..."

Shirley nodded and unceremoniously interrupted Bianca, "It doesn't matter. I'm just unhappy right now. I need to be happy to continue talking. Right now, you're the one begging me, not the other way around. By the way, Jenny just called Lillian being dumped, and Star advised Lillian to go to a small town and marry a small boss. No, the more I think about it, the angrier I get. It seems like I need all three of you to slap yourselves, and apologize tearfully to calm my anger."

As soon as Shirley finished speaking, Jenny and Star turned pale.
