Chapter 152 You’re Not My Sister

Jackson caught a glimpse of Lillian’s ears turning red like they were bleeding, and his thin lips curled up slightly.

When he came out of the bathroom, Lillian was still blushing. She covered herself with a blanket and closed her eyes pretending to sleep. But perhaps due to extreme exhaustion, she accidentally fell asleep for real.

When she woke up again, the daylight outside was already bright. She opened her eyes and saw Jackson sleeping in a chair next to her bed.

The beds in the regular ward were narrow, and Jackson, with his tall figure, looked extremely cramped.

His always meticulous hair was slightly messy, and the scattered strands partially covered his handsome features.

Lillian was stunned. She never expected him to stay there and watch over her all night.

A beam of light slowly climbed up the bed, moving toward them. Lillian raised her hand to shield Jackson's eyes from the morning light.

"Your husband may have a sharp tongue, but he cares about you. You had a fever again last night, and he took care of you all night, very patiently," the elderly lady in the nearby bed whispered.

Lillian regained her composure and smiled faintly at her.

"It seems like you two still have feelings for each other. Why are you talking about divorce? Couples have their disagreements, think it over before making any hasty decisions," the elderly lady said.

Lillian's lips curved into a bitter smile. "It's not a hasty decision. We have thought it through. We can't go on like this, and the feelings between us are not what you think," she said.

The elderly lady sighed and didn't say much more. After all, they were strangers. She got out of bed and left.

As Lillian was lost in thought, she felt Jackson's hand holding the one covering his eyes.

She looked over and realized that Jackson had woken up. She fell into his dark and profound eyes, her heart tightening slightly. "You're awake."

Jackson didn't move, just stayed there holding her hand. "Not that kind of feeling she thought? Then what kind of feeling is there between us?"

Lillian didn't expect him to hear that. She said with a dry voice, "You know it."

"I don't know. Why don't you tell me?" Jackson raised his head, his thin lips curved into a smile devoid of warmth.

Lillian bit her tongue. Before she could speak, Jackson suddenly leaned in and kissed her, silencing all her unspoken words.

His breath was hot, and the kiss was fierce.

Lillian leaned back, enduring the overwhelming heat wave, unsure if the scene she saw with her eyes closed was too warm and beautiful.

She easily succumbed to his teasing and passion, forgetting to resist and even forgetting to breathe.

When she came to her senses, her face was blushed. Only then did Jackson let her go, resting his forehead against hers, his eyes deep and mysterious. "Siblings? So, do you think we are committing incest now?"

Lillian was breathless and her mind was blank. She found it hard to understand his words. ‘Clearly, it was he who had been resisting me and this relationship and neglecting me for four years.’

His large hand caressed her face. "Lillian, I won't kiss my sister like this, understand?"

Lillian's heart trembled, which was filled with sourness, and her eyes welled up with tears. Afraid of being discovered, she quickly lowered her head.

Jackson had only recently been willing to kiss her, so now he no longer saw her as a sister, but purely as a woman.

"Lillian, tell me, do you have no feelings and no love for me?" At this moment, Jackson's cold fingers gently lifted Lillian's chin. He stared at her with deep eyes and asked softly.
