Chapter 323 I Was Naturally Kind-hearted

"I don't care about Wendy's relationships, but there can't be any issues with the child. Once she successfully gives birth, the baby will be directly taken to the Price family to be raised. No one will know that Wendy is the mother. It will be publicly announced that the child is from Henry's girlfriend abroad. So, you don't need to worry about the child being too entangled with Wendy in the future. She will give birth to the child, get the benefits she wants, and then live a normal married life. She will have nothing to do with the child," Jackson raised his hand to touch Lillian's head and said, "I promised Uncle Dominic that I would keep the child's matter a secret, which is why I haven't mentioned it. Now you know everything."

"I'm your wife. I wouldn't go around blabbing. You could have told me secretly," Lillian felt wronged and said.

Jackson had no idea how jealous and upset she was because of the baby in Wendy's belly.

Jackson looked at her and teased, "Did you say you don't care about that? Are you feeling wronged now?"

Lillian felt a bit embarrassed and quickly changed the subject. "By the way, how did Henry pass away?"

Jackson's figure stiffened slightly, and his face hardened, as if the sunlight had retreated from his brows and eyes.

His Adam's apple moved slightly before he replied hoarsely, "Car accident."

However, Jackson didn't say that Henry had the accident on his way to see him.

If it weren't for Jackson's phone call, Henry wouldn't have been driving late at night while fatigued, causing the car to flip over and resulting in his death in the accident at a young age.

It was Jackson's phone call that cost Henry his life.

However, what Jackson owed the Price family was more than just Henry's life.

So, no matter what, he couldn't let anything happen to the child in Wendy's belly.

That was Henry's only bloodline and possibly the Price family's last remaining bloodline.

Jackson's emotions were suppressed to the extreme. His fists clenched tightly, and his whole being seemed to sink into a cold, lonely abyss.

Lillian sensed that Jackson's emotions were off. She thought he must be grieving over Henry's death.

She raised her hand to touch Jackson's face, then smoothed his furrowed brow, calling out to him with worry and helplessness. "Jackson, I'm sorry. I won't ask anymore. Please don't be sad."

Jackson's eyelashes fluttered slightly, and he held Lillian's hand, kissing her knuckles twice.

He had calmed down significantly. He wrapped his arm around Lillian's waist and said, "Are you still jealous and not willing to accept Taylor calling that child her brother now?"

Lillian's face heated up, and she felt a bit embarrassed and annoyed. She straightened up and wrapped her arms around Jackson's neck, complaining, "I didn't expect it to be like this! If you had told me earlier, how could I not accept the child? Jackson, don't worry. Since you consider that child family, as your wife, I will definitely care for and look after him, too."

Seeing the seriousness on Lillian's expression, Jackson couldn't help but smile.

He teased, "Mrs. Frane, are you so understanding and compassionate?"

Lillian raised her chin and replied, "Of course, I'm naturally kind-hearted."

Lillian's eyes were charming as she smiled, exuding vitality and charm.

Jackson felt that it had been a long time since he had seen her show such a relaxed and happy expression towards him.

Feeling touched, he smiled softly. "Since you're going to help me raise the child, does that mean you're not going to divorce me?"

He wrapped his arm around Lillian's waist and continued, "Tomorrow, let's go to the State Court and withdraw the divorce application."
