Chapter 289 You Don't Deserve to Be Taylor's Dad
"Taylor?" Jackson was slightly taken aback, a faint smile on his face.
Previously, he had pressured Lillian so much, yet she refused to tell him about the pregnancy herself.
He knew it was because she had never changed her mind about divorcing and leaving him.
Now that Lillian finally said it. He couldn't help but wonder if Lillina had a change of heart.
Lillian nodded, pulling Jackson's hand and placing it on her belly. She looked up at him nervously and said, "Jackson, Taylor is the nickname I gave the baby. I've been pregnant for over three months."
Lillian held her breath. She had just blurted out about Taylor in her emotional state.
Because she realized that no matter what, Jackson was Taylor's father, and he had the right to know.
If something really happened to him and he didn't even know about Taylor, it would be an irreparable regret for both him and herself and Taylor.
However, Jackson's previous attitude towards her pregnancy and his cold remark that she should get an abortion if she was pregnant still cast a huge shadow over Lillian's heart.
She was very afraid that Jackson would not be happy but angry and cold upon hearing the news.
Lillian's hand, which was holding Jackson's, began to tremble and grow cold as she waited.
The expression she hoped to see was not on Jackson's face.
He looked so calm and indifferent.
She thought, 'This is not the reaction of a father expecting a baby. Just as I thought, Jackson doesn't look forward to Taylor's arrival, nor does he love this child. Perhaps Taylor's existence is insignificant to him. Any thoughts of regret are just my self-indulgence.'
Lillian's spirits plummeted bit by bit. She suddenly let go of his hand, stood up, and was about to run out.
But just as she turned around and hadn't taken a step, Jackson reached out from behind and wrapped his arms around her waist.
His deep voice sounded from behind. "You finally stopped hiding it from me. Lillian, as long as I'm alive, even if I die, you can forget about making my child call another man 'Dad'!"
Jackson's handsome face pressed against Lillian's lower back, his arms gradually tightening.
Lillian froze, then understood the meaning of his words.
She turned back in surprise and asked, "Did you know that? When did you find out?"
Jackson let go of her, pulling Lillian to sit back down by the hospital bed. A mocking smile appeared on his face, and his eyes were gloomy.
He snorted, "What do you think? Lillian, you're really smart. You went to great lengths to hide it from me, didn't you?"
Lillian was being stared at intensely by Jackson, and her palms sweated continuously.
She remembered when Jackson chased her back from the airport, he always asked if she had something to tell him.
And in the car, how he pressured her.
It turned out Jackson already knew she was pregnant and wanted to force her to tell him herself.
He knew everything but still teased her, played with her, and watched her fear and struggle.
Jackson was so hateful!
Lillian was extremely angry, her eyes bloodshot, glaring at Jackson and shouting, "Don't you know why I hid it from you? What woman wouldn't want to share her pregnancy with her husband first? Was it that I didn't want to tell you?"
Lillian accused, her chest filled with anger and grievance as she cried again.
Lillian thought that as other women were pregnant, their husbands would share the happiness and joy, treat their wives like treasures, and look forward to the baby's arrival together.
However, since she got pregnant, she had been hiding, fearing, and worrying about Taylor being disliked or even disappearing because of Jackson. She felt extremely sad.
"Jackson, you don't deserve to be Taylor's dad!" Lillian shouted.
