Chapter 362 Encounter
Shirley was stunned for a moment, and Star handed the ointment to her again with a smile, saying, "Hurry up and apply it to her. If it gets serious, it'll be troublesome."
Shirley took it with surprise and quickly smiled. "Thank you so much. Luckily, you have burn ointment."
Star nodded. "I accidentally got scalded a couple of days ago, and this ointment works pretty well."
As she spoke, she took off the glove on her right hand, revealing a bit of her wrist bone, where there was indeed a burn mark.
"Thank you so much." Shirley hurriedly expressed her gratitude.
"It's fate that we ran into each other. You're welcome." Star nodded and then turned to leave.
"You haven't taken back the ointment." Shirley opened the ointment and looked back in surprise.
"Just apply it all to her. A thick layer works best. My burn is already healed, so there is no need to return it," Star smiled and said.
"Wait a moment. I'll transfer the money to you," Shirley said gratefully.
Star just waved her hand and left.
Shirley turned back to apply the ointment to Lillian's hand, sighing. "Luckily, we met a kind and beautiful lady. Otherwise, if your hand got scarred, I would make Wendy pay for it!"
She thought, 'This matter won't end like this. I must go find Wendy to settle the score later!'
After Shirley finished speaking, she didn't wait for Lillian's response and only then realized she seemed too quiet.
Shirley looked up and asked, "What's wrong? Does the wound hurt too much?"
Lillian then smiled and shook her head, saying, "She is Star."
"What? That lady is Star?" Shirley paused for a moment and then realized. Her hand was raised high in shock when applying the ointment. She continued, "Why didn't you say it earlier? Is there something wrong with this ointment? Quickly wash it off."
Shirley was on high alert, but Lillian laughed instead and tapped her nose, reminding her, "I got burned just a minute or two ago. Star couldn't have known in advance and prepared a poisonous ointment to harm me. Don't worry. It should really just be a coincidence."
Shirley thought about it and agreed. She continued to apply the ointment to Lillian's hand, but her mood was complicated.
Star gave her a good impression.
At least she was different from Wendy. However, thinking about Star's relationship with Jackson, Shirley felt extremely uncomfortable.
Lillian's coat got dirty and couldn't be worn anymore.
Shirley had spare clothes in her car, so after she had left the restroom, she went to the parking lot to get clothes for Lillian.
Lillian walked towards the private room by herself, but after a few steps, she stopped.
Ahead, Star was pushing Susan in a wheelchair, and Dominic stood to one side. The three of them were clearly waiting for someone.
Lillian had a premonition and followed their gaze. Sure enough, she saw a figure walking quickly towards them.
Jackson had changed into a light blue suit with a dark blue checkered tie. He walked with ease, smiled gently, and strode towards the Prices.
Lillian stood frozen, staring in a daze. She had never seen Jackson wear such a bright suit.
His clothes were always dark-toned, even for evening events.
Lillian used to want to see Jackson in light-colored clothes. She thought he was so young and handsome, and he would look better in light-colored clothes, so she bought him a light blue suit similar to the one he was wearing now.
But Jackson frowned at it, and that suit hung in the closet, never worn.
Lillian thought, 'It turns out he looks really handsome in such colors. So, he can wear such clothes but just doesn't want to wear them for me. He dresses up to see Star, looking young and vibrant.'
Perhaps Lillian's gaze was too focused, and Jackson suddenly turned his head to look over.
Lillian's heart tightened, and she instinctively dodged quickly.
Leaning against the wall, she realized her whole body felt weak. She raised her hand and indeed felt tears on her cheek.
She pondered, 'Crying is normal. After all, I have deeply loved Jackson for at least ten years. No one can just stop her love and be relentless all of a sudden. But compared to the last time's pain, at least this time I can face it silently.'
