Chapter 85 Sleep with Me, 4000 dollars per Time
A wave of fear washed over Lillian, causing her to sit up abruptly. She scooted back awkwardly, her body propped up in a display of strength that was tinged with irony."Since when did you become a part-time fish chef?" she asked.
Jackson approached, the knife in his hand descending with a fierce determination.
Lillian let out a scream, her eyes clamping shut in anticipation of the pain. But the expected agony never came. When she dared to open her eyes, she found her large tail fin pinned to the bed by his knife. She tugged at it a few times, but it was immovable.
She was trapped.
Jackson took a seat by the bed, casually pulling at the pinned fishtail. "Do you realize you are wrong?" he asked.
Lillian didn't believe she had done anything wrong. She turned her head away, tears pooling in her eyes."I earn my own money to support myself. If you think I've embarrassed you and the frane Family, you can hurry up and sign the divorce papers," she retorted.
Her words stoked the flames of his anger, and Jackson's face turned icy. He gripped the handle of the knife and slashed it upwards.
Lillian's eyes squeezed shut as she felt the cold, sharp blade against her legs. In an instant, her fishtail was severed. She broke out in a cold sweat, but her legs were finally free.
She bent her knees and kicked out at Jackson.
Jackson caught her feet and bent them upwards. Lillian's knees pressed against her abdomen, leaving her in a humiliating and immobilizing position. Her face flushed with embarrassment."Do you think I'm dead? Or do you think I can't afford to support myself, so I need you to come out and do these things to make a living?" he asked, his face stern.
Lillian bit her lip, too exhausted to respond. He had never been stingy with her. Over the past two years, even when he was absent, his secretary would deposit $80,000 into her account every month. Seasonal clothes and bags would be delivered to her door on time. She had all the jewelry she could ever want.
From childhood to adulthood, he had given her the best of everything.
But it was precisely because of this that Lillian always felt inferior in their marriage, lacking the courage to stand up for herself. She felt unworthy of his love."Speak!" Jackson demanded, pinching Lillian's face to turn it towards him.
Tears welled up in her eyes, but a self-deprecating smile appeared on her lips."Yes, you have never mistreated me. I'm like the canary you raised. No, at least the master raising a canary would derive some pleasure from it. But you don't love me. After you married me, you even spent less time at home, always avoiding being in the country," she confessed.
She felt indebted to him, and even her love for him felt like a desecration. She felt dirty.
Since she was fourteen and fell in love with him, she had worked hard to earn money and deposited it into the Frane family account every year, paying back a little whenever she could.
She wondered if once she paid off her debts, she could leave the Frane Family and have the right to love and pursue him openly.
Unfortunately, all her efforts seemed like a joke to Jackson."I've wasted money and energy raising a white-eyed wolf. At least a white-eyed wolf's blood runs hot, but you are now a cold-hearted and cold-blooded mermaid." Jackson sneered coldly.
Lillian's heart ached. She said, "So shouldn't you be happy if I leave the Frane family? It's perfect timing to marry Wendy, and she's already pregnant, do you want the child to be born as a bastard? Aren't you in a hurry?"
"Of course, I'm in a hurry," Jackson replied, releasing her legs as if he couldn't bear to look at Lillian any longer.
Lillian was tossed aside. Tears streamed from her eyes, and her heart shattered.
It was ridiculous that she had previously suspected Wendy's child wasn't his because of his different treatment toward her and wanted to find out the truth.
Truly ridiculous."Leaving the Frane family like this is too easy for you. I've said before, if you want a divorce, you have to pay me five million dollars. You were raised by me, so I can't just let you go for free and benefit other men," Jackson said coldly, "So don't delay me in making money."
Before she could respond, Jackson flipped over and pressed down on her.
Afraid of hurting the baby in her belly, Lillian struggled and pushed him, saying, "Get off me!"
"How much money can you make by dressing up as a mermaid? Even if I wait until I die, you won't be able to pay off the debt. Instead of settling accounts with me like this, why don't you sleep with me, and I'll pay you 4000 dollars each time? Stop making such a scene in bed! What do you say? If you agree, we had three times last night, and I'll transfer the money to you immediately."
