Chapter 296 A Bouquet
Curtis' office.
Lillian handed the angiogram to Curtis. After examining it, Curtis told her there was no problem.
Lillian then carefully inquired about Jackson's injuries before leaving the office with peace of mind.
She didn't expect to see Wendy, who was holding her belly, sitting on the waiting chair outside.
Seeing Lillian come out, Wendy immediately stood up and asked with concern, "Lillian, I just found out Jackson got hurt. How is he? Can I go see him?"
As she spoke, she bent down and picked up a bouquet from the chair.
Lillian's gaze fell on the bouquet, which was a large bunch of eustoma and wisteria.
Lillian had worked part-time at a flower shop before and happened to know the meanings of these two flowers.
Eustoma represented hopeless love, and wisteria represented living for love, dying for love, and being obsessed with love but never obtaining a beautiful love.
These were two cold and ill-omened flowers, not suitable for gifting.
Lillian thought that Wendy really went out of her way to pick these two flowers for Jackson.
"No." Lillian coldly refused and walked away.
Wendy hurriedly followed with the bouquet and said, "I don't have to go into the ward. Just take the bouquet in for me to show my feelings. By the way, did you ask Jackson that question? Is he happy for our baby to grow up playing together? Actually, I think it would be great if my baby could recognize Jackson as a godfather in the future."
Lillian's ears buzzed as if surrounded by a thousand flies.
Hearing the last part, Lillian couldn't take it anymore. She suddenly stopped, turned around, grabbed the bouquet from Wendy's hand, and threw it on the ground.
She stepped on it a few times, crushed the bouquet, stared at Wendy, and spat, "The flowers are gone, and you can leave! Jackson and I have discussed it, and we plan to have many children. Our baby will have their biological siblings! If your child wants a brother, you should go find his biological father and have one. Stop disgusting us!"
Wendy lowered her head, staring at the crushed flowers on the ground, tears falling continuously. She said, "Lillian, what did these beautiful flowers do wrong? You're too much."
Wendy squatted down to pick up the flowers as if her heart had been crushed.
"Lillian! You're too much. Look at what you've become!" At this moment, a familiar sharp voice sounded from behind Lillian.
Lillian turned around and saw Daisy carrying a bag and walking quickly, which looked elegant and dignified.
As Lillian saw the reproach and disgust in Daisy's eyes, she crossed her arms, raised an eyebrow, and mocked, "I was wondering what kind of sad scene Wendy was acting out here. Turns out she invited an audience."
Daisy frowned and stepped forward to help Wendy up with concern.
"Daisy, I'm fine. I just didn't hold it steady," Wendy cried and said.
"I saw everything. Besides, the flowers are crushed like this. Does this look like you didn't hold them steady?" Daisy protected Wendy, looked at Lillian with a stern face, and questioned, "Lillian, were you mocking just now? Apologize to Wendy immediately!"
Lillian curled her lips and snorted, "I won't apologize."
Daisy was already angry at the sight of Lillian. Now being contradicted, she raised her hand to slap Lillian, shouting angrily, "I'll teach you a lesson today!"
