Chapter 117 Be Recognized
"Are you okay?"
Nathan squeezed through the crowd and supported Lillian before she could fall.
As Lillian steadied herself and turned her head, she saw Jackson's tall figure flashing through the crowd, shielding a figure in his arms.
Although she couldn't see clearly, Lillian knew it was Wendy.
"Don't push! Someone fell!"
Someone shouted from behind, but the crowd kept pushing.
It seemed like the drone performance had started, not far from the haunted house, and everyone was eager to see it, which caused the congestion.
Lillian withdrew her gaze and looked at Nathan anxiously. "Where are Olivia and Jeffrey?"
Nathan smiled at her, "Don't worry, they are safe. Let's get out of here first."
Lillian nodded.
They walked a bit further outside until the crowd thinned out, and screams filled the air as the drones soared into the sky.
Under the night sky, the drones formed the word "love," and Lillian looked up to see it transform into two abbreviated letters.
"W, S..." Nathan read aloud, "What does it mean?"
He lowered his head, only to see Lillian's face turning pale.
She gazed up at the starry sky with her shattered and silent eyes.
Love W S.
Nathan didn't understand, but how could Lillian not understand?
Jackson accompanied Wendy Sivan to the amusement park tonight, preparing for such a romantic confession.
Nathan stepped forward to block Lillian's view.
He placed his hand on her shoulder and turned her body in a different direction.
"Look over there!"
Lillian blinked and saw darkness ahead. She looked back at Nathan.
"What's over there?"
Nathan looked embarrassed and rubbed his nose. "It's just darkness. You can use your imagination, anything could be there."
Lillian blinked again.
Nathan also felt awkward and they stared at each other.
Then, almost simultaneously, they burst into laughter.
"Nathan! Did you forget about us?"
Olivia's voice rang out, and Lillian turned to see Olivia and Jeffrey sitting on a big tree.
Olivia waved her hand, her lips pouting.
Nathan explained, "There were too many people coming out just now, so I put them on the tree and came back to find you."
Olivia and Jeffrey were getting impatient.
Lillian and Nathan went over to rescue them.
"Do you want to play anything else?" Lillian asked.
Jeffrey yawned with little interest. "I'm tired, let's go home."
He had also seen the confession at the beginning of the drone show and felt sorry for Lillian.
Originally, he wanted to make Lillian happy, but encountering Jackson must have dampened her mood.
"Let's go then." Lillian nodded.
Nathan added, "The kids sleep early. Let's go together, I'll drive you."
Lillian didn't want to trouble Nathan, but he insisted on his kind invitation. Olivia held onto Lillian's waist tightly, so Lillian had to sit in the passenger seat.
The two kids fell asleep in the back seat shortly after getting in the car.
The car was quiet, and Nathan turned to Lillian and asked, "Do you mind if I play some music?"
Lillian smiled lightly and replied, "Of course not."
Nathan played the music, and to Lillian's surprise, it was a song she had composed. She thought it was a coincidence, but the following songs were also hers.
Covering her surprise, she asked, "Do you like the creators of these songs?"
Nathan looked at her and nodded openly. "I do, I've liked them for a long time. I'm a loyal fan."
He looked serious, making Lillian feel a bit embarrassed.
Although he didn't know she was the creator of these songs, being confessed to by a fan like this was a first for Lillian.
As she coughed slightly and was about to say something, Nathan stopped at a red light intersection.
He turned to her, his gaze intense, and said, "I used to be her fan, now I want to be her boyfriend."
"You don't even know if she's a man or a woman..." Lillian's words trailed off as she realized the meaning behind Nathan's intense and smiling gaze.
She was surprised. "How did you recognize me?"
