Chapter 93 The Scorching Kiss

As Lillian prepared to bid Kevin adieu, an unexpected chill raced down her spine. Whirling around in surprise, she found Jackson had made his return. In a swift, assertive motion, he tore off the clothes Kevin had draped around her, tossing them back at Kevin.

Before Lillian could muster a response, Jackson had swept her up into his arms once more. An icy aura seemed to envelop him, his jawline taut with tension as he fixed Kevin with a cold, unyielding stare. "Have you not taken your leave yet? Or should I extend an invitation for tea?" The disdain lacing his words was palpable, rendering Kevin momentarily speechless. "I've been absent for several years, and since you've married Lillian, I've yet to pay a visit to your home. Shouldn't you invite me in for a cup of tea?" Kevin made a move to step forward, but Jackson remained rooted to the spot, his face a mask of impassivity. Pausing, Kevin felt a wave of helplessness wash over him. "Alright, I'll take my leave. Lillian has a wound on her head, do remember to tend to it later."Jackson's response to Kevin's concern was icy. "What gives you the right to care for her?""Of course, as her brother-in-law." Kevin felt puzzled by the question.

Jackson's gaze turned even colder.
"She is your sister-in-law, and you are her cousin! I don't want to repeat myself for the third time."Kevin was left speechless. Jackson added, "I will take care of her myself, there's no need for your concern."With that, Jackson, cradling Lillian in his arms, strode towards the villa, leaving Kevin standing alone. After a moment of contemplation, Kevin chuckled and raised an eyebrow. "Really? Is he jealous over this?"He laughed again as he climbed into his car, instructing his lawyer, "Let's head to the hospital." He needed to ascertain whether Sean had been rescued. If Sean survived, it would be the best outcome. Otherwise, Lillian might not escape a murder charge, casting a long, dark shadow over her life. Besides, allowing Sean to die so easily would be too lenient.Jackson's strides were long and swift. Lillian, fearing she might fall, silently reached out to grasp his neck, her brow furrowed. "Kevin was assisting me tonight. Even if you're displeased with me, you shouldn't have dismissed him with such a sullen expression!"Jackson sneered and said, "If you think he's so wonderful, why didn't you share his bed back then? You should have married him directly. Lyra would have been thrilled."Lillian felt as though her heart was being ripped apart. Kevin's father, Lyra's youngest son, had passed away prematurely. Kevin's mother led a reclusive life, her personality calm and uncompetitive, and she had always held a fondness for Lillian.Lillian and Kevin were of a similar age, and Lyra had indeed attempted to pair them in the past, but they had never seen eye to eye, especially after that incident.Lillian clenched her fists and said, "Yes, I should have married Kevin back then. Maybe I could have become a champion's wife!"Before she could finish her sentence, Jackson abruptly lowered his head, sealing her lips with a fierce, urgent kiss. The intensity of his lips against hers was savage, instantly erasing all her thoughts and drawing her into his world.Feeling dizzy and breathless, Lillian pushed against Jackson's chest, trying to break free. However, her rejection and resistance only served to stoke the flames of Jackson's anger and jealousy. He carried her into the foyer, placed her on the shoe cabinet, and deepened the irresistible kiss. The narrowness of the shoe cabinet forced Lillian to lift her legs and wrap them around his lean waist. After the night's events, she had no interest in sex, and his forcefulness only served to dredge up unpleasant memories. As tears welled up in her eyes and cold sweat beaded on her forehead, she bit him fiercely and shouted, "Stop!"The scent of blood filled the air, and Jackson also detected a whiff of a strange man's cologne on her. Believing it to be Kevin's, his eyes narrowed, filled with a cold, ruthless light."Stop? You went to great lengths to bring me back before, and now you want to play hard to get?" Jackson sneered, then seemed to lose control completely, pressing down on her as his breathing grew heavier. His large hand slipped aggressively under Lillian's clothes, reaching her chest and kneading vigorously. The scorching heat of his palm made Lillian tremble, and a broken sob escaped her throat. The air seemed to ignite. Suddenly, the huge crystal chandelier in the living room flickered on, shattering the charged atmosphere.
