Chapter 781
Jackson hadn't finished speaking when the guilty Lillian jumped in fright.
She turned around in a panic and covered Jackson's mouth.
But her movement was too large, causing her elbow to hit the door behind her.
"Who? Get out!" From inside the room, Gray's furious voice almost immediately erupted.
The voice sounded as if something intimate had been interrupted.
Jackson looked at the blushing Lillian and raised an eyebrow slightly.
Could it be that Lillian was really eavesdropping on a couple making love?
Hearing Gray's angry shout from inside, Lillian shrank her neck in fear and covered Jackson's mouth, pushing him into the guest room across the hall.
Strangely, she also felt a sense of panic and embarrassment as if she had been caught eavesdropping on someone making love.
After closing the guest room door and not getting caught, she finally let out a long sigh of relief.
But as soon as she relaxed, she realized something was wrong.
When did she press Jackson against the door?
Moreover, she was still covering Jackson's mouth, and his breath was tickling her palm.
Meeting Jackson's teasing gaze, Lillian withdrew her hand.
Just as she was about to step back, Jackson's large hand fell on her lower back.
Lillian let out a startled cry and leaned tightly against the man's chest. Jackson bent down, his voice low and magnetic, whispering seductively in her sensitive ear.
"What does Lillian want to hear? I can call it out for you."
Lillian's ears turned hot, and a pink hue spread along her neck.
She glared at Jackson, "I wasn't, I didn't! I'm not that perverted. I just wanted to see if they were arguing again."
Jackson lowered his gaze, his eyes falling on Lillian's swan-like neck.
She was wearing a small square-necked dress that revealed her delicate collarbones, which now seemed to have a thin layer of pink.
Further down, her chest was well-covered but noticeably heaving, causing Jackson's breath to catch.
Jackson's mind automatically conjured the image of the thin, sheer lingerie he had seen among his clothes, imagining how she would look wearing it.
Jackson felt a sudden heat, his Adam's apple bobbing, and his gaze becoming dangerously intense.
He lowered his head, gradually getting closer.
Their breaths mingled, and the air grew thin.
Just as the atmosphere reached a peak of intimacy, a sudden phone ringtone broke the spell.
Lillian snapped out of her trance, lowering her head, and Jackson's hot lips landed on her nose.
Jackson seemed displeased, tilting his head to capture her lips again.
Lillian, embarrassed and annoyed, pushed him, "Answer the phone!"
The ringtone continued, showing no sign of stopping.
Lillian stopped cooperating, turning her head to avoid him. Jackson, suddenly dejected, rested his forehead on her shoulder.
Then, he buried his head in her collarbone, sucking hard.
The force was a bit strong, causing a mix of pain and deep ticklishness.
Lillian shrank her shoulder and pinched Jackson's waist. "Answer the phone!"
Jackson finally lifted his head from her shoulder, staring at her. "Let me give you a hickey first, don't run away!"
Lillian averted her gaze, but Jackson's lips curved into a smile.
"Also, it's your phone ringing," he reminded.
Lillian was stunned.
Hers?
Meeting Jackson's helpless gaze, Lillian blinked and realized it was indeed her phone.
She hurriedly pushed Jackson away, took out her phone, and her hand shook with panic.
"What do I do, what do I do, it's a video call from my grandpa! You need to hide! Quickly, quickly." Lillian said, opening the door and pushing Jackson out of the room.
All the previous sweet moments felt like a dream.
Now, her avoidance and urgency to hide him felt real.
This contrast was truly heartbreaking.
Jackson looked aggrieved, not moving. "Can't I just stay in the room?"
"No, if my grandpa finds out we're entangled again, he'll immediately apply for a private flight to come here!"
Lillian said, pushing Jackson harder.
Jackson held onto the door frame, "You answer the call, I won't disturb or make a sound."
It was his final compromise.
The video call, unanswered for a long time, automatically ended.
Lillian sighed in relief, but the next second, the ringtone started again, even more urgently.
Afraid Oberon was worried, Lillian didn't bother with Jackson anymore.
She warned Jackson with a shushing gesture and walked to the sofa to answer the video call.
"Grandpa, Grandma, do you miss me?"
On the phone screen, the loving faces of two elderly people appeared.
Lillian's voice softened, unconsciously taking on a sweet, coquettish tone.
Jackson gently closed the door, touching his ear.
He turned and walked to the bed opposite the sofa, sitting down with his long legs crossed, arms lazily propped behind him, watching Lillian's video call with interest.
"Lillian, why did you take so long to answer? Where are you?"
Oberon immediately noticed that Lillian's surroundings didn't look right.
Flora, however, just happily waved at Lillian.
Feeling guilty, Lillian nervously licked her lips and explained.
"Grandpa, I'm at a friend's house."
"Which friend? We haven't met many of your friends. Is it a male or female friend?"
"It's Shirley, Grandpa and Grandma have met her."
"Shirley? Is this Shirley's house? The decor is quite unique."
Lillian quickly looked around, feeling even more guilty.
The decor was indeed too masculine. She laughed awkwardly to cover it up.
"This is the guest room. By the way, Grandpa, have you had any headaches recently?"
"No, don't worry."
As soon as Oberon spoke, Flora interrupted, pointing at Lillian, "Lillian's neck has been bitten! Someone bullied our Lillian! Let's go beat him up!"
Two months after Lillian returned to the Kelly family, Flora suddenly had a moment of clarity and recognized Lillian, her granddaughter.
Since then, she hadn't mistaken Lillian for Ophelia again.
Oberon said that Flora hadn't been lucid for the past two years, and he thought she would never fully recover. But unexpectedly...
Oberon was very excited, saying it was all because Lillian came home.
At this moment, being pointed out by Flora about the ambiguous marks on her body, Lillian's heart skipped a beat, and she instinctively glared at the culprit across from her.
Jackson, seeing her guilt and anxiety, raised an eyebrow, looking relaxed and leisurely.
Lillian quickly checked herself but couldn't see what kind of marks Jackson had left on her neck.
Could it be bite marks?
She instinctively pulled her collar to cover it, "No, Grandma, I just used a new body lotion yesterday, and I think I'm allergic."
Oberon nodded, "I see, then don't use it anymore."
Just as Lillian sighed in relief, thinking Oberon believed her, he suddenly said, "Lillian, I think Shirley's house looks nice. Can you give us a tour?"
