Chapter 308 What Ex-girlfriend?
Several voices chimed in, and Lillian recognized them as Wendy's friends.
The group sat by the window, sipping coffee and chatting idly, their faces openly displaying disdain and mockery toward Lillian.
Lillian hadn't expected to encounter such a scene just for coffee.
She stepped forward, and the sound of her footsteps made the group turn their heads. Seeing Lillian's delicate and beautiful face, they were all stunned.
Their expressions were somewhat awkward when they were caught talking behind her back.
"Why did you stop talking?" Lillian walked over, placed her hands on the table, and mocked, "Go on. Let me, the bad woman you speak of, hear what other outrageous things I've done."
"Fine. If I were you, I'd have hidden away long ago. You're quite brave."
"Lillian, do you know Mr. Frane named a small asteroid Aurora Spark? It's such a beautiful name. I wonder if he has given you one, too?"
"Alright, everyone, stop it. It's nothing. Lillian, we didn't know you were coming here for coffee. If we had known, we wouldn't have come."
Wendy hypocritically stopped her friends and smiled at Lillian.
In the past, when Lillian heard such words, she would feel very upset.
However, after knowing that Wendy was not Jackson's ex-girlfriend, Lillian felt much calmer.
She glanced around and said, "Aurora Spark? Not bad."
Her calm reaction was completely unexpected for Wendy.
Wendy's nails dug into her palms as she smiled and said, "Lillian, don't worry. New asteroids aren't discovered all the time. When there's another chance, Jackson will probably name one for you, too."
Lillian thought that if it weren't for Wendy's deliberate deception back then, she and Jackson wouldn't have had so many misunderstandings.
What was infuriating was that Wendy was still spreading rumors everywhere!
She gave Wendy a cold look, but before she could say anything, her phone suddenly rang.
Lillian took out her phone and immediately smiled brightly and happily. She glanced at Wendy and sneered. "Really? Then why don't I just ask Jackson right now?"
Wendy's face turned serious as she thought, 'Could it be that the call is from Jackson?'
However, before Wendy could stop her, Lillian had already answered the call, put it on speaker, and placed the phone on the table.
She smiled and said, "Honey, you're so clingy. I'm at the coffee shop with Ms. Sivan. She said you gave her an asteroid and named it Aurora Spark. That's so romantic."
Everyone held their breath, eyes wide, staring at the phone on the table.
They looked at Lillian as if she were crazy.
However, at that moment, Jackson's deep voice came through the phone.
"With today's advanced observation technology, thousands of new asteroids are discovered every month. What's so romantic about that? I haven't named any asteroid."
In an instant, everyone's eyes turned to Wendy, filled with confusion and surprise.
Wendy was flustered. The asteroid was a gift from Jackson for the child in her belly, but she had named it herself.
Wendy was afraid that Jackson might reveal more truths, so she quickly reached for the phone.
However, Lillian seemed to anticipate her move. She picked up the phone and continued, "Really? I thought you were still hung up on your ex-girlfriend."
"What ex-girlfriend? I don't have an ex-girlfriend. Haven't I explained this to you before? If there's nothing else, come back and keep me company. Got it?"
Jackson's domineering command carried an inexplicable tone of affection.
It didn't sound like a couple with a bad relationship at all.
Instead, Jackson clearly denied Wendy's claim of being his ex-girlfriend and that their relationship was ruined by Lillian.
"Got it, hanging up now." Lillian hung up the phone with satisfaction and raised an eyebrow at Wendy.
