Chapter 320 Were You Happy for Him?
Lillian was extremely flustered, scrambling to find a tissue.
Jackson, however, looked grim and threw the water cup on the table towards the door, shouting, "Get out!"
At the door of the ward, Kevin didn't even have time to react before the thrown water cup hit him hard on the forehead.
"Sorry!" Kevin covered his forehead and immediately closed the door.
Kevin raised his hand to touch the small bump on his forehead, cold sweat running down his back.
He thought, 'I just saw Lillian's slender waist. It wasn't even as revealing as when Lillian was on stage, and it's not like I haven't seen it before. Jackson is being way too irritable!'
Inside the ward, Lillian was frantically trying to stop Jackson's nosebleed, feeling both embarrassed and annoyed. She complained, "I told you not to mess around!"
Jackson nodded in agreement. "I'll get discharged tomorrow."
Lillian frowned and said, "How can that be? You need to recover properly. I'll go check on Kevin. Why did you throw something at him?"
As soon as Lillian turned around, Jackson grabbed her wrist with such force that it startled her.
She turned to look at him and asked, "What's wrong?"
Realizing he had lost control, Jackson slightly loosened his grip and frowned, saying, "I think I might have pulled my wound again. It hurts a bit."
Lillian's attention was immediately drawn to him.
She helped Jackson lie down and wiped the sweat off his forehead with a towel, completely forgetting about Kevin outside the door.
Jackson smirked andweakly said, "I don't want to see Kevin. Tell him to go back."
Lillian didn't doubt him at all and nodded. "Kevin talks a lot! I can't let him disturb your rest. I'll go tell him to leave."
As she was about to turn around, Jackson pulled her back and said, "Stay with me. I'll call him."
Lillian couldn't understand, thinking, 'Kevin is just outside the door. Why bother making a phone call?'
Kevin, receiving the call, was also puzzled. He asked, "Jackson? I'm right outside. Do you want me to come in?"
"You don't need to come in. Lillian and I need to rest. You can go back," Jackson replied indifferently.
Kevin fell silent.
Then he recalled the scene he had just witnessed when he opened the door.
Kevin's expression became pale with disbelief.
He thought, 'I can't believe Jackson is such a jerk. Even after being caught, he doesn't stop!'
Kevin sighed inwardly, just about to make a joke, when Jackson's cold voice came through again. "You were supposed to select a location to build the largest racing base in the country. Did you finish that already?"
About a month ago, Kevin had been beaten up by Jackson for hiding something about Sean.
However, the next day, Jackson called Kevin to Star Group and surprisingly offered to invest three billion dollars in Kevin's racing base project in his capacity.
This had always been Kevin's dream.
Kevin immediately agreed and spent the next few days traveling around the country to select a location.
"I haven't finalized it yet," Kevin thought Jackson was concerned about the racing project and quickly replied.
Jackson interrupted him, "If you haven't finished, then hurry up and continue. If you can't get it done, don't come back to Miracalia. I'll only give you half a month. If you can't finalize the location and come up with a feasible plan, I won't invest in this project."
Kevin panicked upon hearing this, saying, "No, Jackson. There are still a few places I haven't inspected. I'll book a flight right away and go today."
He thought, 'Not even giving me a break, Jackson is truly the most successful capitalist in Miracalia!'
Hearing what he wanted, Jackson immediately hung up.
Lillian took the phone and put it away, casually saying, "No wonder Kevin disappeared as soon as he returned to the country. You're actually going to build the largest racing base for Kevin. He must be overjoyed."
Jackson's eyes were fixed on her, and Lillian's face was lit up with a bright smile.
That smile was inexplicably dazzling.
Jackson's eyes darkened as he asked, "Are you happy for him?"
"Of course, it's Kevin's dream." Lillian chuckled, her eyes full of joy.
