Chapter 630

Jackson glanced down at Lillian, barely hanging on in his arms, feeling like he had a hot coal stuck in his throat.

How the hell was he supposed to tell her that his digging showed the Price family wasn't behind the mess, and it was someone else pulling the strings?

Even if he did spill the beans, no way she'd buy it.

Lillian would rather rot in jail than believe he'd have her back.

Plus, he wasn't about to let Star and Dominic turn the Frane family into a laughingstock.

After a beat, Jackson rasped, "Lillian, you're wiped out. Get some rest. I won't let anything happen to you."

For a split second, hope and hate flickered in Lillian's eyes before shattering. Her pupils shook with disbelief.

But before she could lash out, her body gave in to the emotional rollercoaster, and she passed out cold.

Dominic took a lazy sip of tea and looked up, "I'm afraid that's not your call. She's leaving today!"

Jackson's gaze turned dark and stormy.

"Locking Lillian up means crossing me! I'll turn the Price Family upside down."

Star's head was still bleeding, and she felt like she was gonna hurl.

She was barely holding it together just to show the cops Lillian's attempt on her life.

But even in her sorry state, Jackson didn't give her a second glance. He was all about Lillian.

Star's fists clenched with jealousy and rage, and she yelled, "Jackson, what the hell? Are you threatening the Price family? How am I supposed to take this?"

"You'll take it, like it or not!"

Jackson's eyes were ice-cold, no warmth at all.

"If the Price family wants justice today, remember, the Price family in Miracalia might not be as big as the Frane family, but we ain't pushovers. If Lillian gets away with trying to kill Star in public, how's the Price family gonna hold up in Miracalia?"

Dominic sneered and turned to the Price family butler, "Miles, get the cops!"

Miles moved to leave, but Harry stepped in his way.

Jackson's voice was low and dangerous, "If you won't back down, we can chat with the cops about the Price family's shady deal to snag Misty Haven's land on the cheap."

Dominic's hand shook, spilling tea.

That land deal was Dominic's dirty little secret. If it got out, he'd be looking at some serious charges.

He'd kept it under wraps, but if Jackson brought it up, he must have proof.

Still, Dominic put on a brave face, "Jackson, what you mentioned is peanuts compared to attempted murder. I'm not letting Star's attacker off the hook just to save my own skin! Worst case, I'll do a few months with Ms. Young!"

Jackson shot back, "Sure, your scam's a minor offense. Even if I push, you'd only do a few months. But if you're locked up and the Price Group hits trouble, can Star handle it? When you get out, will you still have this mansion?"

Jackson was basically saying if they sent Lillian to jail, he'd bankrupt the Price family and wipe them off the map.

Tea splashed from Dominic's cup onto his hand.

He knew Jackson wasn't bluffing; he could make it happen.

Star had no clue about running the business. If Dominic went to jail, she'd be lost.

Even if Jackson didn't lift a finger, the Price family's rivals would pounce, and the Price Group would be in chaos.

Dominic slammed his cup on the table, his face a storm of emotions.

"Ready to talk terms?" Jackson's voice was cold.

Dominic's chest heaved, and after a moment, he nodded.

"Fine, then I want you to marry Star immediately!"

Star's heart pounded.

Dominic had warned her that all their troubles were Jackson's fault, and she shouldn't fall for him.
