Chapter 199 Clarifying the Pregnancy Situation

"Grandma, I have something to do this afternoon," Jackson said.

Jackson left, and Lillian was about to get up to say goodbye when Lyra stopped her.

Lyra said, "Lilian, hold on, I have something to tell you."

She then looked at Peggy, standing beside her, and Peggy nodded and left.

Lillian was a bit puzzled, but she soon saw Peggy dragging Jenny over, who was struggling and looking very upset.

"Peggy, let go of me. I can walk by myself!"

Jenny was brought over, and when she saw Lillian sitting next to Lyra, her expression turned even more sullen. She gave Lillian a dirty look.

'It's all Lillian's fault,' Jenny thought.

Today, Jenny was supposed to come to the Frane Mansion to hang out, but Lyra overheard her making fun of Lillian while talking on the phone with her friends.

Upon hearing that, Lyra was very angry.

Jenny had planned to go shopping with her friends, but Lyra locked her up, confiscated her phone, and ordered her to reflect all morning.

"After reflecting for so long, it's all in vain, right? Hurry up and apologize to Lillian!" Lyra said to Jenny sternly.

Lillian didn't expect Lyra to ask her to stay to let Jenny apologize in person. A warm feeling passed through her heart.

Jenny, however, was furious, her eyes red with grievance, and said discontentedly, "Grandma, I'm your granddaughter! How could you do this?"

Lyra retorted, "Lilian is my granddaughter-in-law. Stop making a fuss. I am fair and just; I only judge right from wrong!"

Jenny refused to apologize to Lillian easily and kept silent stubbornly.

Lyra was annoyed, saying, "If you don't apologize, continue reflecting in the house! I'll cut off your card so you won't cause trouble outside all day long!"

As soon as Jenny heard that Lyra was going to cut off her card, she apologized to Lillian, "I'm sorry."

Lillian didn't buy it. She smiled, "What did you say? I didn't hear you clearly. Who are you apologizing to?"

"I'm sorry, Lillian!" Jenny gritted her teeth, then ran away crying.

After exchanging a few words with Lyra, Lillian also bid farewell.

As Lillian left the villa, Jenny caught up with her and yelled, "Lillian, you're really something! For so many years, besides running to Lyra to complain, what else can you do? Lyra is kind-hearted and pities you a bit, and you actually think you're important!"

Lillian Ignored Jenny; she didn't even turn her head.

Jenny grabbed her and said, "Even if our Franes pick up a stray dog on the street, we would take care of it well. However, we just think of it as a pastime, no matter how valuable that thing is! Let me tell you, Wendy is pregnant with Jackson's child, so you'll soon become a mistress! Then I'll see how arrogant you can be!"

Lillian shook off Jenny's hand and asked, "Are you done?"

Then, she walked away quickly. Her attitude towards Jenny was as if Jenny was a barking dog, not worth her time to pay attention to.

Jenny stomped her foot in anger as she said, "What's your attitude? Don't think I can't tell you're calling me a dog. You despicable woman!"

Peggy watched them leave in different directions and then returned to the villa.

Upset by the commotion, Lyra went back to her room and lay down.

Peggy brought her a meal, trying to persuade her.

After eating a few bites, Lyra pushed it away, sighing, "I perhaps can't see Jackson's child in this lifetime. I don't want to eat."

Peggy said, "Mrs. Frane, I just heard Jenny say..."

Lyra urged, "What's wrong? Spit it out!"

Peggy said, "It seems like Wendy is pregnant with Mr. Frane's child."

"What?" Lyra was shocked, furrowing her brows and instructing Peggy, "Find out if this is true. Be fast!"

Peggy left, and Lyra pondered.

This might be the reason why Lillian insisted on getting a divorce. Lyra still couldn't believe that Jackson could do something so absurd.

She needed to investigate quickly and make sure they didn't just end things like this.
