Chapter 392 Together

Lillian looked at Jackson, suddenly raised her hand to wipe the tears from her face, pushed him away, and sat to the side, saying, "I do blame you! I won't forgive you that easily!"

Her face was tense, and she turned her head away, not wanting to look at Jackson.

She was afraid that if she looked at him one more time, she would feel sorry for him and forgive him for everything.

Although she felt heartbroken and sad for him, knowing the whole story and understanding his entanglement with the Price family and his past with Star.

She could understand his past actions, but she was still hurt and irate.

She couldn't forgive him easily, not because of his guilt toward Star but because of his constant concealment.

Had he never thought of opening up to her?

Now, telling her all this was probably just out of necessity.

But a fine marriage shouldn't be like this.

She couldn't withstand such repeated torment and exhaustion.

Therefore, Lillian wanted Jackson to worry for a few more days and remember this.

Jackson reached out, and Lillian immediately stood up and turned her back to him.

Jackson felt helpless and amused. He stood up and hugged Lillian's waist from behind.

He leaned down, rested his chin gently on her shoulder, and sighed softly in her ear. "Why are you so hard to coax now?"

Lillian nodded. "Yes, I'm hard to coax! So you shouldn't hide things from me. I'm your wife, not the woman who used to cry in your arms and knew nothing!"

Jackson chuckled, tilted his head to look at her, and teased, "Are you sure? Then who was the woman crying in my arms just now?"

He raised his hand and gently touched Lillian's still slightly wet eyelashes.

Lillian felt embarrassed and angry, hugging him and suggesting, "Jackson, let's find Star together. We can definitely bring her back."

Although Lillian was very jealous of their past, it was Jackson's past.

Jackson had raised Lillian, and she owed him. He owed Star, so Lillian would repay the debt with him.

"Why are you suddenly so understanding?" Jackson smiled and said.

He lowered his head, about to kiss Lillian, when urgent footsteps suddenly came from upstairs.

Adara ran down quickly with a worried look on her face.

Jackson slightly released Lillian, turned around, and asked, "What happened?"

Adara anxiously replied, "I got a call from the hospital, saying Susan's condition has worsened again."

As soon as Adara finished speaking, Jackson's phone rang.

He took it out, and sure enough, it was a call from Dominic.

He answered the call while striding towards the door, and Adara quickly followed.

Lillian was stunned, unable to react for a moment.

By the time Lillian came to her senses, the two had already left the house one after the other. She instinctively followed.

"Okay, I'll be there soon. I'm at Adara's place. I'll bring her along," Jackson answered the phone.

Dominic said that Susan was about to undergo another surgery, but she insisted on seeing "Star" and Jackson. Otherwise, she wouldn't go into the operating room.

Jackson hung up the phone and sternly instructed Adara, "Get in the car!"

Adara opened the car door and got in. Jackson opened the driver's door but suddenly stopped.

He turned back to look at Serenity Haven Manor and saw Lillian lagging.

Lillian was worried about Taylor and didn't dare to walk too fast.

She looked at Jackson, who didn't look back, knowing she shouldn't be so sensitive at this moment, but his cold back, he seemingly forgetting her, still made her feel empty and uncomfortable.

Just then, when Lillian saw Jackson turn back, and their eyes met, the dim hope in Lillian's eyes reignited.

She placed her palm on her belly, thinking she didn't ask for much.

A single glance back, letting her know he still cared about her and the baby, was enough.

Lillian smiled and was about to tell Jackson that she was fine, and he could go ahead.

However, Jackson suddenly walked back to her quickly.

Lillian was stunned. He had walked up to her, bent down without hesitation, and picked her up, saying, "Let's go together."
