Chapter 1005 Copying the Family Rules

But today, seeing Abella, she finally got what the real beauty was.

Abella's features were stunning, her delicate face radiating beauty. Her eyes and brows had an elegant aura, and even though she tried to tone it down, there was an undeniable sharpness about her that made her seem cool, noble, and extraordinarily beautiful.

She never thought there could be someone more beautiful than her sister Elara. No wonder Phillipe liked her.

"Hey there." Abella could sense the hostility coming from Rainey. Although Rainey greeted her with a smile, there was a hint of arrogance and disdain, as if she wasn't welcome.

"Abella, come on in and eat! You gotta try the dishes I made!" Victoria pulled Abella towards the kitchen.

Rainey tried to follow, but Phillipe grabbed her arm.

"Phillipe." Rainey felt like a chick being held by its neck, completely flustered.

"Got a problem with my fiancée?"

"No," Rainey quickly replied, "She's under your protection. How could I dare have a problem?"

"So, you do have a problem?"

"Phillipe," Jerry stepped in to diffuse the situation, "Rainey didn't mean anything by it. If she disrespects Abella, I'll be the first to set her straight."

"Do you think I can't tell?" Phillipe's tone was icy as he looked at Rainey. "Kept you waiting too long? Not happy?"

"No," Rainey was taken aback by Phillipe's unyielding demeanor, "I just..."

"Phillipe," Abella noticed Phillipe hadn't followed and turned back.

Phillipe immediately let go of Rainey and put his arm around Jerry's shoulder to avoid suspicion. "Just chatting with Jerry for a bit. We'll be right there."

Abella nodded, sensing something odd, but didn't press further.

"Abella!" Rainey suddenly called out, "Wait! Let's go together!"

Phillipe was surprised at how fast she moved, and coldly said, "Stop."

Rainey felt like crying. Could she at least show Abella around and be friendly?

"After I finish talking with Jerry, it's your turn. Stay here." Phillipe's words left Rainey feeling hopeless.

"Let them chat," Victoria said, holding Abella's hand as they walked away. "They don't see each other often. Don't worry, with me here, treat this place like your home. No need to be shy."

Rainey watched Abella walk away, her last bit of hope fading.

Facing the imposing Phillipe, Rainey felt her confidence waver. "Phillipe, let me explain."

Since childhood, Phillipe was the one she feared most, even though he was Andrew's son. They all feared him.

"Come here."

Phillipe's command made Rainey hesitate. "My legs are numb, I can't move."

"Weren't you running pretty fast just now?"

"Now I can't move."

Seeing she wouldn't come, Phillipe walked towards her.

Rainey panicked and jumped up, hiding behind her brother Jerry, clutching his shirt. "Jerry, save me."

"Phillipe," Jerry pleaded, "Rainey was out of line. I'll make her write the family rules a hundred times and send you a photo."

"Jerry?" Rainey looked at Jerry in disbelief. It was Christmas! Their family rules were long; writing them even once was exhausting, let alone a hundred times.

Jerry really didn't care about her feelings.

"She seems quite unwilling," Phillipe's gaze fell on Rainey.

"Phillipe, can I write it once?" Rainey pleaded pitifully, "I'll be the most enthusiastic, friendly, and sincere person tonight! Just watch me!"

"You can also try being unenthusiastic, unfriendly, and insincere."

"No, no, I'll be enthusiastic, friendly, and sincere!" Rainey looked at Phillipe with puppy eyes.

"Write it a hundred times and email it to me. Any mistakes, rewrite."

"Phillipe?" Rainey saw Phillipe walk away and quickly followed, "Phillipe, let me explain. I was just hungry. I have no problem with Abella. She's so beautiful and elegant, and she matches you perfectly. Why would I have a problem with her? Her voice is lovely, and she's got a great figure..."

"Fifty times. Write and send it."

Rainey paused, then quickly caught up, "Phillipe, I haven't finished. The moment I saw Abella, I was stunned by her beauty. Words like 'naturally beautiful' and 'radiant' don't even begin to describe her. She's the most unique and stunning person I've ever seen!"

Seeing Phillipe didn't stop, Rainey continued, "Such a beautiful person, having dinner with us, I must be enthusiastic and make her feel the warmth and love of family!"

Seeing Phillipe still ignoring her, Rainey added, "Before she appeared, I always thought Lola from the Medici family wasn't good enough for you. But today, seeing Abella, I feel like God has a plan. Abella's beauty, elegance, and family background far surpass Lola's. She seems destined for you. You two are a perfect match! I wish you both a lifetime of happiness and unity."

"Ten times."

"Thank you, Phillipe, but can it be less?" Rainey saw Phillipe had reduced it significantly and seized the chance to plead, "After dinner, we have to watch the show and fireworks with Abella. If I'm absent, she'll think I don't like her. Just let me write it once. One time is already a lot, considering the length of the family rules."

"Try bargaining again, and you won't get a single word reduced."

"Phillipe." Rainey watched Phillipe enter the dining room, feeling defeated. Ten times, how long would that take?

At the dining table, Ryan and Savannah sat on either side of Abella, constantly serving her food and urging her to eat more.

Armando and Lyric had never seen them so doting on a younger family member.

Even Victoria, usually poised and capable, was now eagerly piling food onto Abella's plate, disregarding her image.
