Chapter 257 Meeting an Unreasonable Girl
A beautiful, proud-looking girl walked in, followed by a servant.
"Elsa is here!" Margaret, noticing the situation, ended the call and pretended to scold her daughter, "What were you doing, taking so long? Look, even your cousin has arrived! Grace, why didn't you remind her?"
The servant immediately lowered her head and apologized, "I'm sorry, Madam. It's all my fault."
"Come over here. Let me introduce you. This is your cousin, Abella. Abella, this is your cousin, Elsa."
Abella curled her lips, realizing that the girl who had bumped into her shoulder, stepped on her shoes, and refused to apologize was actually her cousin Elsa?
Didn't they say that QY's clothes didn't look good, and there wasn't anything worth buying after browsing?
Why does she seem to be wearing QY from head to toe today?
Perhaps sensing Abella's scrutinizing gaze, Elsa's face turned hot, as if she had been slapped.
Maybe she didn't expect to encounter Abella here. Her expression briefly showed disbelief, but she quickly regained composure and forced herself to appear calm as she asked, "Mom, is she the estranged daughter of Uncle and Aunt?"
"Yes, now say hello!" Margaret said happily.
Elsa was surprised to find out that the person casually wearing two-million-dollar shoes was her cousin, and she couldn't hide her displeasure.
"What are you standing there for? Go on and say hello!" Margaret scolded her, glancing at her in annoyance. She couldn't help but joke with the people around, "Is it because her cousin is too beautiful and scared her silly?"
"Elsa was provoked today! She said she encountered a very unreasonable girl while shopping at the mall."
Before the servant could finish speaking, Elsa interrupted her sharply, "Linda!"
Linda didn't know that the "unreasonable" girl was Abella. She thought Miss Elsa didn't want to voice her grievances at this occasion, prioritizing the bigger picture.
So, she took the liberty to add, "Miss Elsa has never suffered any grievances since she was young! Madam, you need to step in and find out who dared to behave so disrespectfully."
"Who dares to bully Elsa?" Abella raised her lips and said casually, "The one who was bullied would be the person you stepped on, bumped into, and never apologized to."
Margaret, upon hearing this, didn't understand what was meant by her words.
Mrs. Medici quickly reacted, "Abella, have you met Elsa before? Do you know what happened?"
"Yes, I have." Abella casually replied, "Elsa bumped into someone, stepped on their foot, and didn't want to apologize. The other person's shoes were worth two million dollars. So, Elsa's sister paid twenty thousand dollars for dry cleaning, but..."
Everyone asked in unison, "But what?"
"That person didn't accept the money, instead, they donated it. I think, perhaps that's why Elsa feels uncomfortable."
Elsa was furious, but she dared not say anything. What if Abella revealed the person's identity in the next second.
Tonight's dinner was centered around Abella. If all the adults blamed her...
Abella also guessed this, so she raised her gaze with interest and looked at her.
Margaret finally understood what happened and took the initiative to question Elsa, "You bumped into someone's shoulder and stepped on their shoes, and you didn't even say sorry? That's too much! And you insulted someone who isn't short of money, who donated the money you compensated. Now you know that there are people wealthier than you, right?"
Margaret paused and then added, "Your cousin also witnessed this incident. Fortunately, we're all family, so she didn't make fun of you. But if you make another mistake like that, I might cancel your credit card!"
"Got it." Elsa muttered quietly, looking at Abella with discontent in her eyes.
Lola witnessed this scene and felt quite satisfied.
"Since it was just a little incident, let's not dwell on it!" George eased the tension with a smile, "Abella just finished work and must be hungry. Linda, ring the bell to let them prepare the dishes."
"Okay." Linda, feeling somewhat embarrassed by the unexpected turn of events, went to ring the bell.
Elsa questioned, "Finished work?"
Her cousin seemed to be only seventeen or eighteen years old but was already earning money from a job?
Margaret heard her and took the opportunity to set an example for her, "Your cousin took over a clothing company under the group as soon as she came back home. She has managed it well, so you should learn from her in the future!"
Elsa didn't expect that the person who caused so much commotion in the clothing company recently wasn't just a highly capable executive but was also her cousin.
She didn't expect this girl to have so much ability!
"Your cousin scored full marks on the SAT recently. Not only is she academically excellent, but she also has many other great abilities and is very beautiful..." Margaret couldn't stop praising Abella.
"Wait a little longer, Linda. Not everyone has arrived yet." Mr. Medici spoke up when he saw Linda going to ring the bell.
Everyone became curious, who hadn't arrived yet?
"Blake has recently returned home and will be here soon, and there's also Phillipe."
"Phillipe is coming too?" Margaret exclaimed in surprise, her eyes and eyebrows instantly relaxing. "Phillipe rarely attends such occasions."
"He is dating Abella," Mr. Medici said.
As soon as he finished speaking, there was a knock on the door to the private room.
"Abella, it must be Phillipe. Go and see!"
As Abella got up, Margaret concealed her emotions with a smile and quickly glanced at Abella's shoes - a pair of QY custom-made shoes, costing approximately two million dollars. Margaret immediately understood what was going on and cast a knowing glance at Elsa.
Elsa lowered her head, her breath becoming lighter. She hadn't expected her mother to figure out the situation so quickly.
When Abella went to open the door, Phillipe had already opened it and was standing there. Today, he was dressed very formally, appearing handsome and imposing, almost as if he was meeting the parents for the first time.
"Sorry I'm late, I had something come up. " Phillipe doted on Abella, looking at her with anticipation. "Have Uncle and Aunt already arrived?"
"Yes, they're all inside." Abella nodded.
"You're not going to give me any encouragement for meeting your family?" Phillipe reached out his hand towards her as she turned to leave, eagerly waiting for her response.
Abella thought to herself: She has met his parents countless times, so who needs more courage? He just wants an opportunity to hold my hand.
Seeing that Abella didn't respond further, Phillipe affectionately reached out and held her hand.
As the two families entered the dining area, Margaret, who had sharp eyes, suddenly noticed the necklace around Abella's neck - the iconic and invaluable crown necklace that Grandma Bourbon used to wear.
