Chapter 706 Poor Acting Skills

"Yo, this ain't got squat to do with Angie. It's Bonnie who's always been a stuck-up, looking down on everyone," Caleb's aunt Naomi grumbled, clearly not a fan of Bonnie. She shot a disgusted look at Bonnie's elegant back.

"Man, these relatives are kinda harsh," Abella muttered as she trailed behind Bonnie to the long dining table.

Bonnie handed her a small cake. "Here, munch on this first."

Abella knew Bonnie was trying to bait someone into making a move against her. She was definitely planning to tick off the mole, making them lose their cool and go after Bonnie.

"We'll split up later," Bonnie said with a dazzling smile.

If Abella hadn't heard her say it herself, she might've thought Bonnie was chatting about the latest season's shoes and bags. That smile, that look, didn't seem like she was scheming at all.

"Got it," Abella replied with a gentle smile.

Just then, a lady named Arlene Riley came over, all excited, grabbing Bonnie's hand. "Isn't this Bonnie? You're still kicking?"

Bonnie recognized the voice and knew who it was. On the surface, Arlene acted all chummy, but behind her back, she was always badmouthing her.

She smiled at Arlene. "At my age, it's not my turn to kick the bucket yet. How's your health, Mrs. Riley? Still got that high blood pressure? Is Mr. Riley still chasing skirts?"

Aubrey Soto couldn't help but butt in, "What are you saying? Mrs. Riley's just being nice, and you're stabbing her in the heart with every word. Men flirt because there are plenty of loose women like you."

"Alright, Mrs. Soto, chill. Bonnie means no harm," Arlene said, her face looking a bit sour.

Bonnie shot back, "When does Mrs. Soto see me being loose? Are you there watching when I do?"

Aubrey didn't expect her to be so shameless. "Who doesn't know you were sent to the head of the Wolf Clique? It's been ages, and you're still pretending to be pure in front of us. Only Caleb would fall for your act!"

"Whether Caleb falls for it or not, what's it to Mrs. Soto? Mrs. Soto is really nosy. But when Mrs. Soto was cheating, my people happened to catch it. Wonder what Mr. Soto would think if he saw some videos I have?"

"What crap are you spewing!" Aubrey's face turned instantly, warning, "I suggest you shut it unless you got proof!"

At that moment, Abella "accidentally" spilled orange juice on Aubrey's floor-length dress. "Oops, my bad. I was too into the convo and didn't notice."

Aubrey didn't expect Abella, who was with Bonnie, to dare spill juice on her. "Who the hell are you?"

"She's Beckett and Kimberly's daughter. What? You wanna mess with them? Bet you don't have their digits, right? How about I hook you up now?" Bonnie said with a grin.

Aubrey's face changed. 'Beckett and Kimberly's daughter? She's grown up so much? Even if she looks a bit different, her features do resemble Kimberly's.'

Everyone knew Beckett and Kimberly were famous for spoiling their daughter!

Word was, the whole family treated their daughter like a princess, giving her whatever she wanted!

"You just wait!" Aubrey stormed off, dragging her dress.

Arlene wanted to stop her but was powerless. She could only look at Bonnie. "Bonnie, you usually mess around, and I just think Caleb spoiled you. But today is your Uncle Derek's birthday. You should give his friends some face. If you make them too embarrassed, it won't be good for either side."

"Thanks for the heads-up, Mrs. Riley. By the way, I also have some videos of Mr. Riley. Wanna take a look?"

Arlene's face turned beet red with anger, and she stomped off in her high heels.

Abella chuckled. "They're so clueless. They probably never got the better of you before, and now they're just asking for trouble."

"Some folks are just full of themselves, thinking they're untouchable." Bonnie elegantly finished her champagne. "I'm gonna take a stroll outside."

"Cool," Abella said as she watched Bonnie leave. She nibbled on some food by the dining table and was about to head out when Erica suddenly bumped into her, making the pastry in her hand hit the floor.

"Abella!" Erica shouted angrily. "You bullied me yesterday, and now today, on Grandpa Derek's birthday, he just wants a chocolate chip cookie, and you won't even give him that! What do you want!"

The surrounding guests couldn't help but look over. They saw that the speaker was Erica, the granddaughter of Ulysses and Angie, and then looked at the girl opposite her. Although she was beautiful, she seemed a bit unfamiliar.

"Do you think just because you're Beckett and Kimberly's daughter, you can do whatever you want in Verdania?" Erica deliberately revealed her identity.

The surrounding guests suddenly realized. 'She's Beckett and Kimberly's daughter? She's grown up so beautifully in a few years? Her features indeed resemble Kimberly's. But her attitude seems kinda off?'

"Are you dumb?" Abella couldn't be bothered to argue with her, "Look up and see what's in the corner?"

In such a setting, there would be surveillance.

Erica had anticipated that she would bring up the surveillance. "Fine, since you won't admit it, I'll have someone check the surveillance! If it shows you bumped into me first, I want you to apologize to me in front of everyone!"

Seeing her so confident, Abella smiled faintly. "Looks like you deleted the surveillance?"

Erica didn't expect her to guess so quickly. Her eyes flashed with unease, but she quickly covered it up. "I'm standing right in front of you, how could I delete it?"

At this moment, Angie deliberately walked over. "Erica, what's going on?"

Erica replied, "Grandma, don't worry about this. It's a personal grudge between her and me. Since she won't give Grandpa Derek face or respect the elders, and insists on opposing me, I have to stand up for myself. Someone, check the surveillance for me!"

More and more guests gathered around. Abella lazily watched her act. Sure enough, a servant pretended to be alarmed and said, "Ms. Harris, the surveillance from 11 minutes ago is missing."

"How could it be missing?" Erica looked at Abella and quickly said, "Did you delete it because you were afraid of being exposed after bumping into me? Oh, I remember now, you came with Aunt Bonnie today. Did you ask her to delete the surveillance?"

Watching her poor acting, Abella suddenly missed Isla. At least when Isla framed someone, she wasn't as incompetent as Erica.

Before the surrounding people could start pointing fingers, Abella lazily restored the surveillance footage and directly projected it onto the big screen.
