Chapter 524 Annoying Her Again

The plane was already parked outside.

Sam and his team looked at Abella with heavy hearts. "Ms. Medici, we'll come find you in a few days. Take care of yourself. If you need anything, just call."

"Yeah, Ms. Medici, my phone's always on. If there's any danger, don't handle it alone. Think of us first," Tony added.

"Sam and Tony were teary-eyed seeing you hurt. Ms. Medici, take care and don't get hurt again," Ernest said, also reluctant to see her go.

Abella's eyes softened. "Got it."

"Goodbye, Ms. Medici."

"Mr. Bourbon, take good care of Ms. Medici."

"Ms. Medici is just a young girl and needs protection. Please, Mr. Bourbon."

"Don't worry, I will." Phillipe nodded at them before carrying Abella up the plane's stairs.

Meanwhile, Winston was struggling to carry Nicole.

"Why don't you put me down?" Seeing his pained expression and guessing he might have strained his injury, Nicole insisted, "Let me down; I can walk."

"Don't move. You'll hurt my wound."

Nicole stopped moving but looked at him worriedly. "Are you okay?"

Winston, satisfied, carried her step by step up the plane's stairs. "If I weren't injured, lifting you would be a piece of cake."

The plane door closed, and the team watched it fly away with heavy hearts. Sam sighed, "Doesn't it feel like Ms. Medici is just visiting family and will be back soon?"

"What are you thinking, you idiot?" Tony smacked the back of his head. "They're already gone, and you're still watching?"

"Ms. Medici didn't have so many issues when she was with us. Ever since reconnecting with the Medici family, there's been too much trouble."

"That's not entirely true. The money Ms. Medici earned before all went into the Wilsons' pockets, and she had to deal with their messes. Comparatively, I prefer the Medici family."

"Obviously, comparing with ungrateful people?"

On the plane, Phillipe carried Abella to the room to rest.

Due to her injuries and exhaustion, Abella wasn't in good spirits today and felt fatigued.

Winston was still talking with Nicole in his arms. "After we return, can you and Raymond stay at my place?"

He had villas everywhere, some near the mountains, some near the sea, some in bustling city centers, and some in quiet suburbs.

"No need," Nicole refused.

She was worried that if word got out, the Medici family would think she was too easy.

"If you feel uncomfortable with the house under my name, I can put one under yours." Winston played with her hand. "Anyway, I need to live with you. Different rooms, different floors, as long as I can take care of you."

Nicole was speechless.

"In your current condition, the poison could act up anytime. Raymond has other things to do and can't watch over you constantly. It's better to have someone at home with you," Winston added, "If left to the servants, I wouldn't be at ease."

After much pestering, Nicole finally agreed reluctantly.

Meanwhile, Lola dragged Kimberly to the shopping mall to buy things. After spending millions, she finally felt better.

She clung to Kimberly's arm and said playfully, "Mom, you're so good to me! You bought me so many things even though I'm not your real daughter..."

"Silly girl," Kimberly said, patting her head affectionately. "I've always treated you like my own. Your relationship with Henry is getting more serious, so naturally, you'll need to spend more on dates. Our family isn't short on money. Just dress up beautifully. As long as you're happy, I'm happy."

Lola's excuse had been that she didn't know what to wear or accessorize for dates with Henry, feeling that her wardrobe wasn't elegant enough.

So, Kimberly had taken her to the mall to shop.

"Mom, it's so lucky to be your child." Lola held Kimberly's hand, waiting for the driver to bring the car around.

"Does the Hall family know about your relationship?" Kimberly asked.

"Yeah, he already told them. They were thrilled when they heard I am from the Medici family and felt honored. They're urging Henry to visit us. He's mentioned it to me several times..."

Lola lowered her head, pretending to be shy. "I hadn't agreed before, but he's been treating me better and better."

"Then invite him over. Your father and I can have a good talk with him." Kimberly smiled warmly. "You're grown up now. It's time to have a boyfriend. Once the relationship is stable, you can consider getting engaged."

To Lola, Kimberly's smile was like a thorn, deeply piercing her heart.

She thought, 'Previously, my fiancé was Phillipe. Now a Hall, and Kimberly is satisfied? Does Kimberly think only her biological daughter deserved Phillipe, while I, an adopted, am only good enough for a Hall?'

"If you get engaged, the Medici family will definitely make it grand." Kimberly smiled indulgently.

Lola forced a smile and said, "Mom, the car's here."

She didn't want to discuss this topic anymore.

The driver opened the car door for them. Seeing Kimberly's smile, he couldn't help but ask, "Mrs. Medici, what made you so happy?"

"Lola has a good match. Isn't that worth celebrating?"

The driver glanced at Lola and said, "Congratulations, Ms. Medici."

Lola was unhappy, but she still smiled gracefully. "Thank you."

At that moment, Kimberly received a call, "Winston? You're on your way back? What? You're going to your own place? Do you have work to do? OK, OK, so Abella is going straight to school? Alright, I'll call her later to ask when she'll be back. I have something to discuss with her."

When Lola heard this, she thought,

'Winston is back? Why isn't he coming home? Is he avoiding me? Is he not taking me abroad? Or is he planning to take Abella to his private villa? Abella must have said something bad about me to Winston! Damn it!'

After Kimberly hung up, Lola couldn't help but ask, "Mom, isn't Winston coming home? I just picked out a belt for him, thinking of giving it to him when he comes back."

Kimberly said, "He's busy with something and won't be home for a while. Clara visits frequently. I need to ask Winston if he's interested. If not, we shouldn't waste a good girl's time."
