Chapter 920 Fainted from Anger
Bonnie instinctively glanced at Caleb when she heard the news.
Caleb realized there was no point in keeping Abella's identity a secret anymore, so he decided to spill everything.
Beckett and Kimberly finally learned that Abella had endured unimaginable suffering in Triangle City years ago, nearly dying, and had been shaped into who she was today through countless trials.
Their eyes filled with tears at the same time.
"Abella's been back for so long and never told us..." Kimberly wiped her tears, her heart aching. "She was just a kid back then, going to such a terrifying place."
She must have felt so helpless, so desperate.
Her skills were honed in that kind of environment.
No wonder she seemed so cold and distant.
To have faced death for so long, seen the worst of humanity, and still grown into such a remarkable person. It was truly incredible!
"We only knew she suffered at the Wilson Family before, but we had no idea her hardships were far greater than we imagined." Beckett started crying, wiping his tears, but they kept flowing uncontrollably.
Kimberly was the same, covering her face and sobbing, "I only knew Abella was sensible, clever, and well-behaved, but I never realized every one of her virtues came from such hard-earned experiences."
"Alright, Abella didn't tell you because she didn't want you to feel heartbroken or guilty." Bonnie gently patted Kimberly's back, comforting her softly, "She didn't tell me either. If Caleb hadn't asked her first and then told me, I would still be in the dark like you."
She had only learned about Abella's past from Caleb later on.
Abella had truly had a tough life, making her so heart-wrenching.
"I feel so sorry for her..." Kimberly's heart felt like it was being stabbed repeatedly when she thought about Abella's suffering while Lola lived a pampered life with the Medici family.
At that moment, the sound of an approaching plane could be heard.
Bonnie looked up, "It should be Mom and Dad. Stop crying, or they'll be worried when they see your red eyes."
Bonnie reached out to wipe Kimberly's tears. To Kimberly, Bonnie was like a caring older sister, always looking out for her younger sibling.
Kimberly couldn't stop her tears, trying desperately to calm down, taking deep breaths until she finally managed a smile.
The plane taxied and slowed down, eventually coming to a stop.
The door opened, and David walked out holding Vanessa's hand, both looking a bit shaky.
They had dressed up for the occasion, wearing formal attire, but they seemed to have aged a few years.
The somber atmosphere was palpable even from a distance.
"Dad, Mom."
Everyone smiled and greeted them, walking up the stairs to meet them.
David and Vanessa smiled back, but it was clear their smiles were forced.
If they looked closely, they could see the sadness and sorrow.
"We've been waiting for you..." Kimberly hugged David, then Vanessa.
Vanessa, with her sharp eyes, immediately noticed, "Why are you crying? Is it because of Lola?"
Before coming to Long Island Manor, Bonnie had filled them in on Lola's actions. They were so shocked and overwhelmed that they fainted, and it took a while for them to recover and make their way here.
Mentioning Lola made Kimberly's tears flow again. She quickly wiped them away, saying, "Why bring her up? I'm just heartbroken over Abella's experiences."
She recounted Abella's story to David and Vanessa, and they were stunned by how incredible Abella was.
Her skills and reputation were forged through blood and tears.
So many loyal followers showed how much she was loved and respected.
Abella was truly remarkable, and so heart-wrenching.
David and Vanessa silently wiped their tears, feeling proud yet heartbroken for Abella's experiences.
"Where is she? Why don't we see her?" Vanessa looked around, not seeing Abella.
If she weren't busy, she would have definitely come to greet them.
"She's on her way back, she'll be here in a few hours. Let's go inside first." Kimberly took the coats from the servants, helping Vanessa and David put them on.
Bonnie had prepared scarves, which she helped David and Vanessa put on.
The weather was getting colder. They linked arms with David and Vanessa and walked into the main building with a fireplace.
David, having seen many ups and downs over the years, took a few sips of tea and asked, "What are you planning to do with Lola?"
Kimberly glanced at Bonnie.
Bonnie nodded, encouraging her to speak, so Kimberly said, "Dad, Mom, Bonnie has already told you about Lola's character, but what I'm about to say might be hard for you to handle. I hope you're prepared."
"Could it be worse than this?"
Yesterday, Vanessa had been shocked and furious to the extreme upon learning about Lola's actions. Now, seeing Kimberly's expression, it seemed there was something even more serious they didn't know.
Kimberly glanced at the servants, who understood and went to fetch the family doctor.
When the doctor arrived and waited in the nearby tea room, Kimberly said, "These are surveillance videos Abella sent. Take a look."
She played the footage of Maria and her men kidnapping Abella, Lola not only refusing to help but also wanting to disfigure Abella and make her kneel and beg.
David seemed unable to handle the shock, clutching his chest and gasping for air, clearly agitated.
Was this the Lola he knew?
She was Jacob and Maria's child...
Their whole family...
"Dad, take it easy... breathe deeply..." Kimberly quickly patted his back.
Vanessa was also too angry to speak coherently, "She actually, actually..."
"Mom?" Bonnie didn't expect Vanessa to faint from the emotional overload, immediately calling, "Doctor, hurry!"
Several doctors rushed over with medical kits.
"How could she turn out like this..." David also felt dizzy and collapsed.
If Bonnie hadn't caught him in time, he would have fallen to the ground.
Beckett and Caleb laid them down on the sofas, luckily, they were large enough for them to lie flat.
