Chapter 518 Abella Saved the Day

This token had been passed down through the Umbra League for nearly a century.

Not only did the leaders want to get it, but other internal factions also wanted to seize this treasure.

"So, you're planning to face this with Nicole and not let the two of us get involved?" Abella seemed to understand. "You want to keep the danger to yourself. Do you think Phillipe and I will be at ease?"

"We are a family; we should face everything together." Phillipe also spoke up.

"But what if this matter drags us, including everyone around us, into the abyss? Can you bear to drag them down? Do you not feel heartbroken?" Winston said.

"We will handle it properly," Abella said confidently.

"You're only eighteen, and Phillipe is twenty-two. You've both already shown great potential in various fields. There's no need to get involved in this mess."

This matter involved Nicole, so he felt obligated to stand by her.

However, since it had nothing to do with Abella and Phillipe, Winston wanted them to stay out of it.

"Winston, whether you agree or not, we will be involved," She asserted firmly, "We can't let you and Nicole face this alone. No matter what force it is, if they dare to harm us, we will overcome them."

'No matter what force it is, if they dare to challenge, they will be utterly destroyed,' She thought.

"I agree with Abella," Phillipe nodded and said, "Winston, you two can't handle this alone. We must join forces to have a chance."

"Phillipe!" Winston hadn't expected Phillipe to disregard priorities and go along with Abella. He had hoped Phillipe would persuade Abella, but it turned out they were on the same side.

"I agree with Phillipe, and that's final." Abella no longer accepted Winston's objections. "Nicole should wake up soon. She probably wants to make this evidence public. I have an idea."

Before Abella could finish her sentence, her phone vibrated.

"I'll get it," Phillipe helped her swipe the screen and answered the call, holding the phone to her ear so she wouldn't have to lift her hand.

It was Lauren calling.

Just as Abella was about to greet her, she heard Lauren's urgent and quiet voice for help.

"Ms. Medici, something bad happened at home..."

Before Lauren could finish, the call was abruptly cut off. When they tried calling back, the phone was already turned off.

"It was Lauren. Something must have happened at home. I'll send someone to check." Abella realized something wrong, her eyes darkening.

She planned to call other subordinates to check it out.

Phillipe immediately said, "I'll send my people. They're closer."

"Okay."

'Dare to mess with their family? They must have a death wish,' Abella thought.

"Something happened at home? Lauren called? What happened?" Winston didn't expect the enemies to retaliate so quickly and became anxious.

"I'm not sure yet, but something must have happened..." Abella didn't think Lauren was joking, given her tone. Lauren wasn't the type to joke around.

For her to call, it must be something serious.

At this moment, Phillipe made a call, instructing his subordinates to get there as quickly as possible.

Winston wanted to call Kimberly to ask about the situation, but Phillipe advised him not to alert the enemy and wait until his people got there.

.

Meanwhile, near the other side of the Manor, someone had Lauren pinned against a tree, a knife held to her neck. "Who did you just call? Did you shout Abella?"

"No, no, no..." Lauren repeatedly denied it.

She had just helped the hostess retrieve a pair of custom boots from a brand and noticed someone sneaking around the entrance.

Instinctively, she called Abella. Before she could her sentence, the person noticed her and pinned her against a tree, a gleaming knife at her neck.

"I clearly heard you shout, Ms. Medici." the person raised an eyebrow. A black mask covered most of his face, only revealing a pair of clear eyes, looking very young.

"You, you heard wrong. We only have Ms. Lola and no others. Sir, why are you kidnapping me? I'm not worth anything... I'm just a servant. You won't get much by threatening Mr. Medici and Mrs. Medici with me."

"I don't want money." The person's tone was chillling.

Lauren was terrified and said, "You don't want money, why kidnap me... I only do housework, nothing else."

"I ask you, where did Winston go?" The person pressed the knife closer, his tone dangerous.

"Mr. Winston?" Lauren thought this person was Winston's enemy and shook her head quickly. "I don't know... how could we servants know the whereabouts of the young heirs?"

"Really don't know?" The person pressed the knife closer.

Feeling the cold blade against her neck, Lauren was terrified. "I really don't know. Even if you kill me today, I wouldn't know where he went..."

"I'm not his enemy. I won't hurt him or you. I just want to know where he is."

Seeing the person's demeanor and the knife, how could Lauren believe they weren't Winston's enemy?

Who would believe that?

She pleaded, "I, I also want to know where he went. If I knew, I would tell you... But I really don't know, sir. If you are his friend, why not call him and ask?"

If he had Winston's number, he would have called already.

Seeing that this servant really didn't know, Raymond's eyes darkened. "Do you know when he will be back?"

Lauren shook her head again.

"Don't tell anyone what happened today," Raymond warned.

"Don't worry, even if I die, I won't reveal a word..." Lauren felt her heart pounding as he loosened the knife. "Sir, can I go now?"

Raymond didn't speak; his eyes seemed even darker.

Lauren quickly ran towards the Manor.

Raymond watched her leave, about to leave, about to follow, when unexpectedly, Phillipe's people arrived, blocking his way. Raymond started fighting with the seven or eight people in front of him.

Lauren entered the house and saw the two groups fighting. She was terrified but managed to pull out her phone, shakily recording a video and sending it to Abella.

Lauren: [Ms. Medici, another group has arrived, and they were fighting! The one in the black mask is the one who kidnapped me. He's after Mr. Winston. Should I tell the Mr. Medici and Mrs. Medici? Will Mr. Winston be in danger?]

Abella opened the video. Though it was a bit blurry when zoomed in, and hard to see faces, the fighting style was unmistakably Raymond's.

"It's a big misunderstanding," Abella seemed to realize something, looking at Phillipe, "Tell your people to stop. It's Raymond."
