Chapter 131 I Did Not Plagiarize
The man's gaze scanned through and finally paused on a stylish pink diamond necklace. Should girls like diamonds and pink?
"This one."
Patrick was somewhat surprised. On their first meeting, the Boss personally chose a necklace worth 30 million for his sister? It seems that the Boss has truly accepted this sister from the bottom of his heart.
The helicopter flew back to America and finally landed on the top floor of Sunrise Company's skyscraper headquarters. As soon as the man got off the plane, thirty executives were waiting on either side. The arrival of the man set off alarm bells for all employees in the group. They were cautious and dared not make any mistakes.
Meanwhile…
Phillipe held Abella in his arms, opened his phone, and let her choose. "Check out the new products launched by QY and see if there's anything you like."
On the page was QY's newly launched jewelry collection. Abella rejected it directly without even looking at it.
"I already have a lot." She didn't like wearing jewelry in the first place, feeling burdened and troublesome. Besides, all these jewelries were designed by herself... there was no meaning to it. Phillipe lowered his head and adoringly looked at her, "My Abella is so outstanding, she deserves a reward."
Reward?
"Your piano compositions are very beautiful..." Abella understood. He must have found out about Anika' identity.
"When will you play for me?" Phillipe gently stroked her soft hair, recalling her exceptional piano skills from the video. His gaze softened even more. His precious Abella was extraordinary and unique.
"We can talk about it when we have time."
"What about this one?" Phillipe's gaze fell on a uniquely designed pink diamond necklace. "It suits you very well." Abella had fair skin, and wearing such a necklace would make her even more elegant.
"No..."
"You can keep it even if you don't wear it."
"You really don't have to..."
In the conference room of Sunrise Company headquarters, all the executives reported on their work for the quarter, listening quietly to the development direction and solutions to challenging issues. It wasn't until Steven said "the meeting is adjourned" that everyone breathed a sigh of relief and left the conference room.
"Bass is so intimidating, I was sweating the whole time..."
"Me too, you see the sweat on my forehead..."
"Every time Bass comes back, I feel like I'm going to die, but I’m …”
"Stop daydreaming about him. He won't like commoners like us. Even if he wants a partner, he would choose a wealthy lady from a suitable background... I wonder what kind of woman will tolerate his coldness. I find it quite terrifying..."
Patrick followed the man hurriedly out of the meeting room. "Bass, I'm sorry, I was a step too late and someone already reserved the necklace."
Steven remained calm, his expression unchanged. "Offer a higher price. Keep increasing until they give it up."
"Money is not an issue for them," Patrick added. "I heard they are a top VIP client of QY..."
"We must acquire it before nightfall."
"Yes." Patrick knew that whatever Steven set his eyes on, he would obtain, even if it meant dealing with a powerful figure like the one associated with QY. After all, who couldn't Steven offend?
"Oh, by the way, Bass, there is a national fashion design competition, and the organizers want to invite you as a judge."
Though the Medici family's conglomerate did not focus primarily on the fashion industry, Steven, with his esteemed status and recent involvement in fashion, possessed extraordinary design talent. In his younger days, he had made a sensation with a shirt design. However, since taking over the conglomerate, he had been completely devoted to his career, frequently traveling abroad. He had no time for hobbies, let alone stepping foot into his own home.
The organizers were seeking prominent figures to preside over the competition. If they managed to invite Steven, it would generate more attention nationwide.
"No time," Steven replied, unwilling to waste his time on such a tedious competition. His current trip back home was mainly to visit his little sister, and once he got busy again, he would be unable to return home for another two to three months.
"Understood, I will decline their invitation on your behalf."
Abella had just returned to the company when her assistant Joseph rushed over to her. "Miss Medici, something big has happened! Out of the 33 new products we were planning to launch tomorrow, 23 of them are identical to the new products released by our competitor today! And they're already selling well on Ebay and Amazon! I quickly counted, and they have already sold seven to eight thousand units. At this rate, it will soon surpass ten thousand units!"
Abella's gaze turned icy cold. How was this possible?
Out of nowhere, how could 23 out of the 33 new products be identical to those of their competitor? Someone must be playing tricks behind the scenes!
"I'm not sure what's going on yet!" Joseph was in a panic like an ant on a hot pan. "But all 23 identical products were designed by Abigail. Benjamin just held a meeting and scolded Abigail harshly. She, she..."
"What happened to her?"
"She was scolded to the point of tears!"
Abigail had just arrived at the design department when she heard Benjamin's angry voice.
"Crying, crying, why are you always crying? Don't make it seem like I'm falsely accusing you!"
"These are the 33 new products launched by our competitor today! I specifically had people buy 23 of them! Look carefully with your wide-open eyes and see if I'm falsely accusing you!"
Benjamin threw all 23 new products at Abigail.
Abigail was dumbfounded, looking at these new products, feeling both wronged and confused, "I don't know..."
She really didn't understand what was going on.
"You must have plagiarized the competitor's design sketches!"
"I didn't!" Abigail choked as she explained, "These new products, I created them independently..."
She didn't copy anything!
"Don't spout nonsense!" Design department head Jonathan stepped forward, stating,
"Abi is not that kind of person! She is talented in design and doesn't need to plagiarize other people's sketches!"
These designs, Abi can come up with herself!
"Then how do you explain all of this?" Benjamin pointed at the clothes scattered on the floor, loudly questioning, "If it were just one piece, that could be overlooked, but 23 identical pieces, can you provide a reasonable explanation?"
Jonathan looked at the clothes on the floor, indeed not understanding what was going on, but he spoke fair and just, "When Abi sketches every day, all of us in the department witness it..."
"Yes, Abi didn't plagiarize, I can vouch for it, these designs are her own."
"She often works overtime until midnight, the entire department has left, she is the only one still here. I only found out when I returned to the company because I forgot my keys at home..."
"Abi genuinely loves this industry, she would never do something that tarnishes the industry and herself!"
"I trust Abi!!"
"I trust her too!"
