Chapter 591 That Was Too Much
Their parents were livid.
James claimed Abella was his niece, and Beckett and Kimberly sat there, waiting for an explanation.
What did this mean?
It meant Abella was their biological daughter!
In Libertya and even among wealthy families abroad, some kids are kept out of the public eye for protection. Abella might be one of those kids, shielded from the media, so not many knew she was the daughter of the richest couple in Libertya.
Why would Angela and Darlene mess with her for no reason?
Not only did they provoke her, but they also said outrageous things.
A staff member suddenly remembered something and pulled out his phone. "Mr. Harris, when we saw Angela and Darlene bullying Ms. Medici, we whistled to stop them. I recorded a video while running."
He played the shaky video, but you could hear him whistling and scolding Darlene and Angela.
In the video, Angela and Darlene clearly made the first move.
Abella kept dodging, then grabbed her ski pole and skied away, but Angela and Darlene chased her.
With this evidence, Darlene's mom fainted on the spot.
Darlene's dad quickly supported her.
"Mom, Mom." Darlene tried to rush forward but got slapped twice by her dad. "Look at what you've done!"
Angela's parents were also furious, scolding Angela, "You kept saying it was his niece who started it. Apologize, now!"
"Dad, Mom, stop hitting me. I'll apologize, I'll apologize right now." Seeing the evidence, Angela didn't dare argue. She walked up to James, crying. "I'm sorry, Mr. Harris."
"Kneel down!" Angela's mom hit her hard on the back.
Terrified, Angela fell to her knees in front of James. "I'm sorry, really sorry."
Her parents bowed deeply, apologizing, "We're truly sorry. It's our fault for not raising our daughter properly. Mr. Harris, Mr. Medici, Mrs. Medici, Ms. Medici, we're really sorry! We'll make sure this never happens again. Also, our company recently launched a new villa project, and we're willing to give the three best villas to Ms. Medici as an apology."
"I know Ms. Medici wouldn't be interested in an ordinary car. Today is Christmas Eve, and I had ordered a custom Rolls-Royce for my wife. I'm willing to give it to Ms. Medici. Please forgive my ungrateful daughter." Darlene's dad quickly added.
James stayed silent, so Darlene's dad added, "If Ms. Medici doesn't mind, I'm willing to cash out 10% of the company's shares and give it to Ms. Medici, as long as she can forget today's unpleasant incident."
"I am also willing to cash out 10% of the company's shares for Ms. Medici, seeking her forgiveness," Angela's dad quickly added.
James' expression remained unreadable.
Angela's parents and Darlene's dad, anxious and uneasy, kept scolding their daughters, urging them to apologize to Abella.
"Sorry, Abella." Angela started, but her mom smacked her shoulder. "Do you think you can call her by her name?!"
"Sorry, Ms. Medici," Angela cried. "I promise I'll never bother you again. Please forgive us."
Darlene's dad kicked her foot, and she knelt in front of Abella, apologizing non-stop.
"How many shares did you mention earlier?" Abella suddenly asked.
Darlene and Angela's dads were momentarily stunned, then quickly responded.
"It's 15% of the shares, plus a Rolls-Royce," Darlene's dad said, watching Abella's reaction and adding more. "Make that two cars: a Rolls-Royce and a custom Koenigsegg, plus ten commercial properties downtown."
"I also mentioned 15% of the shares, plus three villas," Angela's dad added cautiously. "And a Pagani and a Bugatti."
"That's too much," Abella said.
"No, as long as Ms. Medici is willing to give them a chance, it's worth it!" Darlene and Angela's parents kept sweet-talking.
"Since you're both so sincere, let's put this matter to rest," Abella said.
Hearing this, Darlene and Angela's parents were overjoyed, thanking her profusely. "We'll have everything delivered to Mr. Harris' company today. Please sign for them, Ms. Medici. Thank you for your kindness. We'll take these two girls home and deal with them."
Darlene and Angela's parents dragged their daughters away by their ears, apologizing to everyone again before leaving.
Kimberly looked at Abella, puzzled. "Abella, are you short on money lately?"
"It's my fault. I haven't given you any allowance for half a month!" Beckett suddenly remembered, feeling guilty. "Did you want something? I'll buy it for you! I'll transfer your allowance right now."
"Dad, Mom, although they provoked me first, they didn't touch me. Instead, I beat them up. Now their parents are offering compensation, totaling five or six hundred million dollars. We made a profit," Abella replied.
She had just learned that if these two families went bankrupt, they wouldn't gain anything, and other families in Sunhavenia would take advantage, which would be bad for James.
Now, with these two families keeping others in check, James wouldn't have to deal with them, and they gained a few hundred million dollars.
James seemed to understand Abella's thoughts and looked at her more warmly.
Due to this incident, Kimberly lost interest in playing, and the group quickly returned to James' residence.
As soon as they entered the villa, Abella noticed that every corner was decorated with flowers and Christmas decorations, creating a festive and warm atmosphere.
Even the windows and stair railings were adorned with beautiful flowers.
Seeing Beckett and Kimberly walking ahead, James smiled and said, "At first, when Timothy said they had no injuries, not even bruises, I was a bit surprised. But then I remembered you're the Abbott with the title of Medical Authority, and it all made sense."
