Chapter 753 Letting It Be

"Yo, Ms. Abella Medici, finally! Ms. Lola Medic's inside," the servant said, practically yanking the door open for her.

Inside, Lola had ditched the bed and was now using a table lamp, vase, and whatever else she could grab to fend off the servants. She bolted to the balcony edge, yelling, "If you don't let me see Phillipe, I'm jumping!"

The room went dead silent.

David, who'd rushed over after hearing the commotion, was freaking out. "Lola, what the hell are you doing? Get down from there, it's dangerous!"

Lola's eyes locked onto him, looking all dazed like she recognized him.

"Come down and talk, you're scaring the crap outta me." David had never seen Lola this wasted and wild; it was terrifying.

Suddenly, Lola climbed over the railing and sprinted towards David, hugging him tight. "Phillipe, you finally came! They wouldn't let me be with you and locked me up. Did you come to rescue me? I knew you would."

"What are you doing, Lola? I'm your grandfather!" David, seeing Lola about to kiss him, yelled, "What are you all standing around for? Help me out here!"

Lola was a nightmare when she was drunk.

Vanessa, who'd just arrived, saw the whole scene. Lola was pouting and squinting, looking like she wanted to kiss David all over.

Freaked out, Vanessa grabbed Lola's hand, saying, "Lola, what are you doing? He's your grandfather."

"Abella? You again? Phillipe doesn't like you anymore, so why are you here?" Lola shoved Vanessa away.

With her drunken strength, Vanessa stumbled back. If Abella hadn't stepped in to catch her, she would've hit the floor.

"What's wrong with her? She gets this trashed after one glass of whiskey?" Vanessa asked, still in shock.

"Phillipe, Phillipe," Lola tried to kiss David again.

"Lola," Caleb, who'd just shown up, barked at her. His stern voice made Lola freeze for a second and snap out of it.

"Phillipe, you're here."

She looked at David again, now with disgust. "Henry? You pretending to be Phillipe to trick me into kissing you? Gross! I almost fell for it!"

She raised her hand to slap David.

Caleb quickly grabbed her wrist.

Lola was entranced. "Phillipe, you're so handsome, so dashing."

Everyone was speechless.

"So you're Abella?" Lola noticed Bonnie standing nearby with her arms crossed and tried to slap her. "You bitch, if it weren't for you, Phillipe and I would be married by now, maybe even have a baby. You homewrecker, you slut."

David and Vanessa were both freaking out. What the hell was Lola saying? How could she spew such nonsense?

"Abella, got any ideas? This can't go on!" David couldn't stand seeing Lola like this.

"You wanna team up with Abella against me? Henry, you traitor! Both of you, stay away from me."

"Can we knock her out?" Bonnie couldn't take it anymore. "If not, I'll do it."

All the servants, hearing her, looked like they were ready to nod in agreement.

"Hold up, let me check her out first," Abella said, stopping everyone. "Pin her down."

She had a hunch something was off with that lemonade, but she'd never seen anyone go this nuts.

"What are you doing? Stay away! Phillipe, save me!" Lola clung to Caleb like a koala. "They're trying to tear us apart."

The room went silent.

Caleb held her down, and a few servants jumped in to help while Abella checked her over.

"She's got a cocktail of toxins in her system. The worst is a hallucinogenic neurotoxin, making her trip out on time, space, people, even herself. Plus, another drug's messing with her gut, so she's gonna be farting, bloated, and having diarrhea."

"Wait, you mean someone drugged her?" Vanessa was both shocked and pissed. "Who'd dare mess with someone from the Harris family?"

"Could it be the lemonade she had tonight?" Bonnie chimed in.

At the restaurant, she'd noticed something weird between Abella and Lola. 'Did Lola try to drug Abella and end up screwing herself over?'

"Maybe." Abella didn't have solid proof that Lola had spiked the lemonade.

But Bonnie whipped out her phone and called the restaurant manager. "Is the glass Lola drank from still there?"

"It's already been cleaned and sterilized," the manager replied, confused. "Mrs. Harris, is there a problem? Did you not like the lemonade?"

"Never mind, it's nothing."

Bonnie hung up and heard Abella say, "I smelled that lemonade; it was just regular lemonade. The drug dissolved in the water, so there's no way to test it now. Whoever made it knew their stuff."

Bonnie was shocked that such a drug even existed.

She glanced at Lola again. 'Did Lola really bring the drug?'

Lola was still losing it. Abella said coldly, "There's a cure, but we need thirty-four different meds and have to whip up the antidote in six hours. By then, she might recover on her own."

"Are those thirty-four meds hard to find?" Caleb asked.

"Some would take half a day to track down."

It wasn't that Abella didn't want to help; she just didn't have those meds on hand. Plus, Lola had tried to mess with her, so she didn't feel like she owed her anything.

"Is there any other way?" Caleb pressed. They couldn't leave Lola like this.

"If she hadn't had that whiskey, we might try acupuncture. But the whiskey and the drugs are mixing in her system. Acupuncture now could kill her," Abella said bluntly. "We just have to wait for her to ride it out."

Everyone was stunned and couldn't help but ask, "How long will that take?"

"About ten hours."

Lola had already been causing chaos for two hours, and there were still ten more to go.

Hearing ten hours, everyone felt uneasy.

The servants all looked terrified, worried they'd be stuck taking care of Lola.

"If we leave her alone, will it be life-threatening?" Bonnie asked.
