Chapter 941 Misunderstanding Cleared
"We saw you as soon as we walked in." Abella's words left Dennis and Louie speechless. Had they been spotted that quickly?
It must have been the manager's lousy attempt at hiding them that got them caught so soon.
"Since my arm's hurt, I gotta avoid raw, cold, spicy, and stimulating foods. Plus, I don't like anything with alcohol; it's too greasy for me. That's why Phillipe ordered those four dishes." Abella added with a hint of mischief, "He ordered based on what I usually like. Honestly, I thought he ordered too much; no way two people could finish all that."
"Yeah, I know what Abella likes, so I picked dishes she usually enjoys. Half the menu here is raw and spicy, so I didn't order much." Phillipe explained.
Mainly because Abella wouldn't let him order too much.
Dennis felt a bit embarrassed hearing this. So, he didn't really get Abella's tastes, didn't know what she liked or couldn't eat, and thought just asking the manager to bring out the best dishes would be good enough for her.
Louie also realized why Phillipe didn't show Abella the menu when ordering. He knew her preferences and probably asked her if each dish was okay before confirming.
It wasn't that he was making decisions on his own or disrespecting her.
Thinking this, Louie felt a bit awkward too.
"But your relationship, it's moving too fast." Dennis meant they hadn't even confirmed they were dating yet, but they were already holding hands and almost kissing.
Abella looked at Phillipe, and they exchanged a knowing smile. She then said, "Actually, Phillipe and I started dating shortly after I got back home."
Dennis's face fell upon hearing this.
Louie couldn't believe it either.
"To be precise, I kept bugging Abella until she had no choice but to gradually accept being with me," Phillipe explained. "When you found me, I wanted to clear things up about my relationship with Abella, but you kept interrupting me and wouldn't let me speak."
Dennis remembered the meeting in the Bourbon Group's reception room. He was so eager for an answer, wanting to know if Phillipe would pursue Abella and treat her well, that he ignored Phillipe's repeated attempts to explain.
If he had just been patient and listened for a few more seconds, there wouldn't have been so many misunderstandings.
"Phillipe told me about it, and I decided to surprise you."
Now, seeing the two of them in front of him, fingers intertwined, looking like a perfect couple, Dennis realized he had made a huge mistake.
No wonder Phillipe shared a drink with Abella. It wasn't because he was stingy; their relationship was already so close that they were used to sharing everything.
Abella genuinely didn't mind drinking after Phillipe.
Suddenly, Dennis felt a bit jealous and reluctant.
He hadn't expected Abella to be taken away so quickly.
Regarding the surveillance at the abandoned building, when Abella confronted Maria, Dennis only knew about Lola's repeated attempts to seduce Phillipe. He didn't know about Abella and Phillipe's secret six-month relationship.
In those videos, Abella never mentioned Phillipe as her boyfriend, and Maria didn't either. She just bizarrely blamed Abella for coming back and competing with Lola for Phillipe.
So, he didn't know that Abella started dating Phillipe as soon as she returned home, and their relationship was very strong.
What about Sean?
Sean was Phillipe's good friend. When he saw Dennis want to kill Abella, he naturally wanted to help his buddy.
At that time, Sean didn't know Abella's true identity, so he didn't know she was his sister. Hence, he didn't stop them from fighting.
This misunderstanding had blown up.
He wished he could find a place to hide.
The more arrogant he had been earlier, the more embarrassed he felt now.
"I made a huge mistake without asking clearly, I'm sorry." Dennis's face hurt a bit.
"I deliberately didn't tell you to surprise you," Abella said with a smile.
No surprise, but quite a shock.
Dennis felt empty inside, realizing Abella had gotten together with Phillipe so quickly.
"This movie isn't great, let's go?" As Abella started walking forward, Dennis and Phillipe followed on either side of her. Louie felt a bit redundant but quickly caught up with Dennis.
Since the cinema was on the third floor of a shopping mall, they walked out past various high-end brand stores.
"Abella, let me buy you something fun?" Dennis suggested, heading towards a jewelry store.
But Abella didn't want him to spend money and had no intention of going in. "I already have a lot of jewelry."
Mainly because she rarely wore them, it was inconvenient for her work. If she accidentally lost something, it could leave evidence and expose her identity.
"Just take a look, a quick glance?" Perhaps fearing Abella's refusal, Dennis glanced at Phillipe.
Phillipe immediately said, "Dennis is being thoughtful, let's go in and take a look?"
Dennis raised his eyebrows; this guy was quite good at this.
Perhaps fearing Abella's refusal, Dennis directly pulled her by the sleeve into the jewelry store.
"Bring out your best jewelry, all of it. Necklaces, rings, bracelets, and bangles. They should be stylish and suitable for young women."
Seeing a big customer, several store clerks rushed to serve them.
"What's all this commotion!" The store manager saw them almost fighting and quickly stepped forward. Seeing Phillipe and Dennis, he was so scared that his legs went weak. He hurriedly supported himself on the glass counter and approached, "Mr. Bourbon, Mr. Medici, I didn't know you were coming. Close the store for private service!"
"What kind of service is this, not noticing my sister?" Dennis pulled Abella forward. "From now on, greet her first when you see her."
The store manager didn't expect Dennis to bring a sister. Although he didn't know if she was his biological sister, seeing Dennis's level of attention, it was clear today's sale would be huge!
"Mr. Medici has such a beautiful sister. Her presence makes our jewelry pale in comparison. Please come inside..." The store manager led the way, flattering them. "Ms. Medici, you are so lucky to have Mr. Medici and Mr. Bourbon accompanying you shopping. That's something many women envy."
Several clerks quickly brought out the store's best jewelry, and the store manager introduced them enthusiastically and respectfully, "These are our new designs this year, the best and most perfect jewelry in our store..."
Seeing the jewelry, Dennis wanted to buy them all for Abella!
