Chapter 895 Capturing People
Despite their confusion, the eight employees still bowed in unison to greet them.
Abella and Theo reached the last step, where a massive golden archway blocked their path.
Midnight Oasis required members to swipe their cards to enter. Newcomers without a current member to vouch for them had no access.
Theo pulled out a gold card and swiped it. The door slowly opened, and the employees' doubts were finally put to rest.
So, they really were members here.
They just hadn't recognized them in time. Luckily, the guests didn't notice.
Inside was a dimly lit lobby with six elevators leading upstairs. The lighting and decor were reminiscent of a karaoke bar, but the atmosphere was much quieter.
Under the influence of alcohol, several couples were flirting in various corners of the lobby. Some men were boldly touching women, others were passionately kissing, and some were even starting to undress.
Theo quickly shielded Abella's view, not touching her but placing his hands on either side to protect her from the sight.
The second floor was a bar, while the third through sixth floors were private rooms.
"Ms. Medici, let's check out the second floor first."
Abella nodded.
Theo pressed the elevator button for the second floor.
As soon as they arrived, the elevator doors opened to deafening rock music, causing Theo to frown. It was too loud.
A band was performing energetically on stage, while the crowd below jumped and danced wildly, everyone letting loose.
Theo protected Abella, worried she might get jostled by the crowd, and signaled her to rest at a table in a quieter corner.
A waiter approached, and Theo ordered two mojitos and a plate of fruit. He then used his phone to send Abella a message on WhatsApp.
Theo: [Ms. Medici, it's too noisy here. I'll message you. Someone has hacked into the club's surveillance. If Viper shows up, we'll be notified.]
Abella nodded and took a sip of the mojito the waiter brought.
Even in casual clothes with her hair in a bun, Abella's beauty drew a lot of attention.
A man dancing his way towards Abella was scared off by Theo's fierce glare, which suggested he was ready to fight.
A while later, a scar-faced man approached with a few others, seemingly unafraid of Theo and even looking provocative.
Just then, the waiter brought the fruit. Theo slammed his fist down, shattering not just the fruit but the plate itself.
The scar-faced man and his companions gulped, surprised by Theo's strength.
Theo finished his mojito, stood up with the empty glass, and the scar-faced man and his group quickly retreated.
Because of the noise, Theo had to shout to Abella, "These guys, do they even know who they are?"
As if those ugly faces could be worthy of Abella?
Abella, someone they could even dream of?
Abella was surprised to see that the once timid Theo had grown up, a small, satisfied smile appearing on her lips.
At that moment, a subordinate reported, "Viper is here."
Theo immediately signaled to Abella.
They kept glancing towards the entrance, but a minute passed, then two...
Viper still hadn't appeared.
Theo messaged his subordinate again: [Are you sure Viper came in?]
The subordinate: [Yeah, he came in two minutes ago. Didn't you see him?]
Theo showed the message to Abella, who stood up to leave, and Theo quickly followed.
The second floor was the bar, and the floors above were private rooms.
Once they left the bar, the noise level dropped significantly. Theo quickly asked Abella, "Ms. Medici, do you think he went to a private room?"
With so many rooms, searching floor by floor would take forever, and it could easily alert him.
"Let's check upstairs." Abella opted for the fire escape instead of the elevator.
As soon as she pushed open the fire escape door, they heard a commotion from above, something falling down the stairs.
They moved quietly, ready to go up, when a hoarse "Help!" came from above.
Abella quickly ascended, with Theo struggling to keep up. In no time, she had outpaced him.
Abella was incredibly fast!
Soon, she reached the sixth floor.
In the stairwell, someone was strangling Viper with a rope, while two others held his limbs to prevent him from struggling.
Abella kicked the attacker, loosening the rope, and Viper gasped for air, his face red from the strain.
"Who are you?" The leader glared at Abella.
The other two, one in black and one in gray, also looked at Abella with murderous intent.
"Ms. Medici, wait for me."
Seeing Theo arrive, the man in black immediately called for backup on his phone, "We have a situation!"
Meanwhile, Viper tried to escape through a window, but Abella pulled him back.
The men tried to grab him, but before Theo could help, more reinforcements burst through the stairwell door.
Seeing the growing number of enemies, Viper ran towards the rooftop. Theo wanted to chase him, but saw Abella handling the attackers alone and decided to help her.
"Go after him, don't worry about me." Abella kicked one man away, then swept another into the crowd, using the stair railing to deliver more kicks, and pulled Theo behind her, urging him to go upstairs.
Theo had no choice but to pursue Viper.
Some tried to reach the rooftop, but Abella fought them off, blocking the stairs.
Realizing they couldn't beat Abella, some quietly left the stairwell to use another staircase to the rooftop.
There were two staircases to the rooftop, one at the beginning of the hallway and one at the end.
Viper reached the rooftop and tried to descend via the other staircase but was kicked to the ground by the arriving pursuers.
Theo rushed over, engaging in a fight.
Seeing more people arriving, Viper stood on the edge of the rooftop, ready to jump.
"Don't jump, I'm not like them." Theo tried to reach him, but the crowd was too thick. Before he could break free, Viper jumped.
"Hey—" Theo knocked down a few people and rushed to the edge, seeing Viper land on a balcony below, then jump to another balcony on the fifth floor.
Theo had no choice but to follow Viper's route.
The others, determined to catch Viper, also jumped onto the balconies.
Viper, now on the fourth-floor balcony, was in pain from a leg wound. He had been stabbed twice earlier, and blood was soaking his pants, dripping onto the ground.
