Chapter 890 Accidentally Died
Phillipe's gaze fell on Abella, and he asked quietly, "Did you go to the hospital to help someone yesterday?"
"Just a deal."
With that simple sentence, Phillipe got it. She must have done surgery for someone in exchange for something.
"The hospital you went to is actually owned by him," Phillipe explained.
Abella finally understood why Terry knew about her Abbott identity.
"Crazy how things work out," Terry said with a smile, trying to smooth things over. He never expected that the girl he had his eye on would turn out to be Phillipe's fiancée.
He felt like crying.
At that moment, he felt like the whole world was filled with sweet love, and he was the only one left out.
Even Sean managed to get a girl to have coffee with him.
And he hadn't even started dating before he was already heartbroken!
Sean hadn't expected Abella to be so impressive, and also such an amazing doctor. She looked like she was only in her teens, yet she was already a lead surgeon.
The surgeons at Terry's hospital were notoriously proud and hard to impress. For her to be the lead surgeon, so Abella's medical skills must be extraordinary.
"We were just guessing what profession the girl he likes might have..." Maybe worried that Abella might feel left out of their conversation, Phillipe brought up the previous topic, looking at Terry. "So, is she a painter, writer, celebrity, teacher, lawyer, or doctor?"
Terry felt even more like crying. Could they stop asking? He was already feeling humiliated.
At that moment, Sean seemed to have a realization. "You... you were at the hospital yesterday and saw Abella performing surgery, and then you mentioned meeting a very special girl. You don't mean..."
He looked at Terry in disbelief, then at Abella. Phillipe's gaze turned dangerous.
"Stop talking nonsense," Terry said urgently, his survival instincts kicking in. "Abella, don't misunderstand, Sean just likes to joke around..."
Abella didn't think much of it, but Phillipe's gaze seemed to pierce through Terry.
He quietly asked the girl beside him, "Abella, did you meet anyone special at the hospital?"
Abella shook her head.
"The special girl I mentioned is a celebrity. I'll introduce you when I get the chance," Terry said, trying to cover his unease with a smile as he took a sip of coffee.
Sean was about to say that the coffee was his, but seeing Terry drink it, he decided to keep quiet.
"What's her name?" Phillipe asked, looking at Terry. "I remember you saying that women in the entertainment industry aren't your type."
"Well, she's really good at playing the piano and singing." Terry had no idea who the current popular celebrities were. He used to follow the entertainment industry, but none of the actresses caught his eye, so he stopped paying attention.
"Good at playing and singing? Abella might know her," Phillipe said, giving Abella a gentle look. "My fiancée has two other identities, Anika and Summer."
"What did you say?" Terry and Sean were both shocked. Abella already had so many identities, and now she was also Anika and Summer.
Recently, Summer's performance at Blake's concert had been trending, with many people speculating that they were a couple and hoping they'd get together.
But it turned out Summer was Phillipe's fiancée.
Seeing their incredulous expressions, Phillipe smirked. "Is that so surprising?"
His fiancée had even more identities they didn't know about.
Each identity was at the top of its field.
Sean hadn't expected the girl he liked to be so extraordinary.
Terry was even more devastated, realizing that such an outstanding girl could only be Phillipe's wife in this lifetime.
"So, the person you're talking about might be someone Abella knows."
Phillipe's words made Terry wave his hands and laugh nervously. "She can't compare to Anika and Summer."
Sean suddenly remembered something. "Speaking of Anika, I have something I want her to look at."
Sean opened his phone, scrolling through his Stories. "With Easter coming up, I was thinking of getting something for my grandparents. I saw someone selling a painting by Cordelia, claiming he bought it from Anika at a high price. He originally wanted to give it to his fiancée, but since the engagement was called off, he decided to sell it."
Sean showed the picture to Abella. "My grandparents love Cordelia's paintings, so I wanted to ask how much you sold it for. He initially asked for five million dollars."
It wasn't that Sean couldn't afford it, but the seller later said there were many interested buyers, with offers going up to six or seven million.
Cordelia's paintings were rare, but Sean felt like he was being scammed.
Abella took one look and thought it was fake.
"Did you paint something like this?" Phillipe asked quietly.
He noticed the painting resembled Abella's style, with a similar atmosphere and technique, but upon closer inspection, it had flaws.
If he didn't know Abella and her work so well, he might have thought it was real at first glance.
Sean and Terry were even more shocked by Phillipe's question.
When Abella confirmed she had painted something similar but the one in the picture was a fake, their disbelief grew.
"I exhibited my painting at an art show. But later, Mr. Walker took it." Abella said. "Someone might have taken a photo at the show and tried to replicate it."
Sean, though not an art expert, had grown up surrounded by famous paintings and could distinguish some of them.
But this forgery was so convincing that he thought it was real and wanted to buy it.
"So, you have another identity as Cordelia." Terry was stunned, unable to find words to praise Abella's many talents.
"If your grandparents like it, I have other pieces. I'll send you some to choose from."
Buying from her would be much cheaper than dealing with the flood of fakes outside.
Meanwhile, Kimberly had called Dennis several times, but no one answered. Frustrated, she called Louie.
Seeing her call, Louie was so scared his hands shook, and he dropped his phone several times before it finally fell to the ground, ending the call.
