Chapter 8
"Don't worry. I got this," Abella said calmly, holding the scalpel with a steady hand. The piercing alarm seemed to have no effect on her.
"Are you sure about this?" Randy lost his confidence as the difficulty of the surgery had exceeded his expectations.
If Abella could pull this off, she was practically a deity!
In the observation room, everyone was in a state of panic. When Phillipe was about to order his team of experts to rush into the operating room, Ryan's condition suddenly reversed.
The alarm stopped and his blood pressure gradually returned to normal.
At that moment, the experts behind Phillipe were all astonished.
"She actually separated all the adhesions and stabilized the patient's condition."
"How did she do it?"
After dealing with the adhesions, Abella lifted her beautiful eyes. Her fresh and ethereal demeanor left a lasting impression.
"Dr. Brown, who is she exactly?" one of the foreign heart specialists brought by Phillipe asked. "Is she a new doctor at the hospital? I wonder if I could have the honor of speaking with her later?"
"I also have a question I'd like to ask her."
Not only was Gabriel surprised, but everyone present was also shocked. Nobody could expect a teenage girl to have such top-notch medical skills.
Phillipe's expression was solemn, a hint of curiosity in his refined features.
"The situation has only temporarily improved," Aurora said through gritted teeth, her face full of reluctance. "Sir Bourbon has a severe heart infection, and the artificial valve suturing is extremely difficult. If her suturing has any issues, Sir Bourbon's heart function will be hard to improve, and there's a high risk of severe complications."
"Aurora!" Zachary reprimanded in a low voice, clearly displeased.
He quickly turned to Phillipe and said, "Mr. Bourbon, this young lady's medical skills are extraordinary. I believe she can handle the situation moving forward. Besides, she has Dr. Smith assisting her. Dr. Smith comes from a family of doctors and is exceptionally talented. His grandfather is Daniel Smith, a top-notch physician."
Phillipe thought, 'Daniel Smith?'
He realized that the male assistant in front of him was Randy, the only beloved grandson of Daniel.
Daniel was also one of the renowned doctors he had hired, but he was delayed by traffic and hadn't arrived yet.
Phillipe kept an indifferent expression and said nothing. So, Zachary was on edge, unsure of what he was thinking.
Abella's exceptional suturing skills further humbled all the doctors present.
By the end of the surgery, everyone was in utter shock.
She saved Ryan. He had survived.
"Abella, are you even human?" Randy exclaimed, wiping the sweat from his forehead.
"Take the patient out," Abella said as she washed her hands and left the operating room. Many doctors who were waiting outside applauded her and praised her medical skills.
Aurora clenched her fists at the sight, her nails digging into her palms.
She mused, 'I thought the little harlot was bragging.'
As the crowd dispersed, only Phillipe, his team of heart specialists, and Zachary remained.
"I'm taking Sir Bourbon back to his room," Randy said to Abella. "I'll be back shortly."
Abella nodded, removed her mask, and revealed a delicate and striking face. Her nonchalant yet captivating demeanor drew everyone's attention.
"Who is the family member?" Abella asked, looking up. There were still some matters to address.
Phillipe stepped forward and stood in front of her.
Phillipe's features seemed to be meticulously crafted by God with perfect proportions. His deep and mesmerizing eyes were drawing her in as she looked at him.
"Mr. Bourbon, let me explain. Sir Bourbon was critically ill, and I boldly promised this young lady that if she could save him, we could pay her however much she wanted," Zachary quickly spoke up to secure the payment for Abella.
Phillipe looked at Abella, a ripple of emotion in his eyes. He then glanced at Gabriel.
Gabriel immediately took out a blank check and handed it to Abella.
"Thank you for saving Sir Bourbon, Miss. This is a token of Mr. Bourbon's gratitude. You can fill in the amount as you wish."
