Chapter 21

Abella always felt like someone set fire on purpose.

Cody: [If I find out that the fire that year was deliberately set, causing you to have such a rough time in the Wilson family, I will definitely not let it go easily!]

After chatting for a while, Abella found it was almost time and Clare should be arriving at their agreed meeting place soon. She went downstairs and said to Kimberly, "Mom, I'm going out."

"Okay." Kimberly wanted to ask where she was going, who she was meeting with, and what she would be doing. But she didn't wanna annoy Abella, so she just smiled and asked, "Shall I have Tom drive you?"

"Mom," Lola interjected from the side. "I already told Tom to drive me later as I made plans with my friends."

Kimberly frowned slightly. "Can Bob take you instead?"

"He must take naps in the afternoon. If we wake him up now, he might not feel well enough to drive safely." Lola looked at Abella sympathetically before continuing, "Abella, if you have something urgent on hand, I can call my friend and cancel our plans so that Tom can drive you instead."

"No need," Abella replied calmly. However, the Rolls-Royce was damaged in a truck accident and sent for repairs.

Abella thought for a moment before asking. "Are there any other cars at home?"

Kimberly was a bit surprised. "Of course. I'll get the driver to bring you down to the garage. Pick whichever car you like!"

'Pick whichever I like?' Abella repeated Kimberly's words inwardly in surprise.

Kimberly touched the wall-mounted intercom system, directly calling Tom, "Tom! Come over here, please! Take Abella down to the garage."

The entire garage had three floors filled with various top-of-the-line supercars, such as limited-edition sedans and high-end RVs in all sorts of colors.

"What does our family do?" Abella asked curiously when they arrived.

"You don't know?" The driver was also surprised by her question. He thought everyone would recognize Beckett and know his identity. After all, he was the richest man in the country.

"Mr. Beckett Medici has always been the richest man in America.

"He has ranked the first on the wealthy list of America for twelve consecutive years!

"Since last year, when Mr. Beckett Medic announced his retirement and Mr. Steven Medici took over the group, it has been him who became the richest man."

In other words, the richest man in America was always a Medic.

But later, Abella understood. Jeff and Skylar previously said that her parents were unemployed.

So this was what they meant by being 'unemployed.'

After a while, with a rumble, a cool sports car left the Medici family's estate and headed toward the main road.

To avoid attracting attention, Abella drove her Bugatti Veyron to an underground parking lot nearby where Clare had been waiting for quite some time.

When she got out of the car, Clare's eyes widened as she stared at Abella's luxury vehicle for three whole seconds before asking in disbelief. "Is this car yours?"

It was a top-of-the-line customized Bugatti Veyron, boasting a license plate with five consecutive nines, making it one-of-a-kind in the world...

Clare knew that even though Abella had now lived in the Long Island Manor, such an expensive car was not something an ordinary wealthy family would have.

"What is your father's surname?" asked Clare in a big surprise.

"Medici," replied Abella.

"Is his first name Beckett?" Clare widened her eyes in shock.

"Yep. You know him?" asked Abella.

"Of course. He's the richest man in the country! You're so lucky." Clare sighed. "The Wilsons must be regretting it now."

In a luxurious private estate outside of town, all lights were on.

This estate had thirty-two entrances. When viewing from above, one might see it as a sun drawing by children.

Each car would enter through different entrances leading to different garages. After parking their cars, guests would take exclusive elevators into pre-prepared private rooms. They wouldn't meet other bidders or photographers throughout their stay and could leave afterward without encountering anyone else either.

Clare was the Fischer family's most favored princess, so she naturally knew how to get tickets here. Besides, both she and Abella were regular customers here already.

After parking their cars, they took an elevator up to room No. 3 where drinks and snacks were readily available.

Lola was visiting such a place for the first time. If not for Sophia guiding her around, she wouldn't have known that behind this glamorous private estate lay an underground auction house filled with rare treasures!

"How did you find out about this place?" Lola asked.

Lola had confided in Sophia about her uncertainty regarding a suitable gift for the ailing Ryan, so Sophia suggested coming here to seek inspiration.

"I've been here a few times with my brother before. You can find almost everything here! Think hard about what Sir Bourbon likes and bring it back to him; he'll definitely be very happy," Sophia replied.

Sophia was also from a rich family. She guessed that Ryan had probably seen all sorts of rare treasures already. However, the auction items presented here were unique and not available on the market.

"Why haven't we seen any other customers around?" Lola was puzzled.

"They're all in different rooms. Thirty-two private rooms surround the central stage. But there's no host on stage. Everything is automated."

"Do you know why each room has a huge glass wall? It's for easy viewing of the treasures. You can see outside clearly from inside, but people outside cannot see inside," Sophia explained further.

Lola listened attentively as Sophia spoke knowledgeably about these things. She couldn't help feeling envious, wishing that her brothers had taken her out more often so that she wouldn't have been like a bumpkin now.

In Room No. 1, Phillippe sat on his sofa. Gabriel stood next to him, respectfully saying, "Mr. Bourbon, as the highlight of the auction, Weed of Heart will be presented at the last moment."

"Hmm." The man sitting on the sofa had a deep voice, exuding an elegant and noble aura.

It was said that Weed of Heart had miraculous effects in treating the heart, and he wanted to take it back for the experts and renowned doctors around him to study.

After a while, a voice sounded. "The auction has begun."

The center stage slowly opened up, and a precious item rose up.

The system automatically introduced the source and value of the treasure through its voice.

The huge electronic glass wall magnified every detail and aspect of the treasure.

It was a small bottle of Heart Relief Powder. It was said that after patients with heart disease took it, they would feel a cool and comfortable sensation in their hearts. It could be used to make soup on a regular basis, and during an attack, it could also be dissolved in water for oral intake to quickly relieve pain.

It had no side effects when combined with any medication.

During the system introduction, the Heart Relief Powder moved along the ground track to the glass wall in front of each private box, allowing people to see it clearly.

"Abella, isn't this the leftover material from your Heart Pills?"

"Yes." Abella did not conceal it and said frankly, "This is called making the most of everything."

Although its efficacy was not as good as that of Heart Pills, it still had some medicinal value and should not be wasted.
