Chapter 903 Blocking the Bullet for Her
Maria was naturally worried about this thing falling into the hands of the Medici family, which would be bad for her and Lola, so she reached out to grab it.
Abella punched her in the face, quickly followed by a hit to her nose. Lola watched in horror as blood streamed from Maria's nose. Just as she screamed, Abella kicked Maria, sending her flying into a pillar.
Maria's back slammed into the pillar, and she slid to the ground. But seeing the small crown on Abella's hair tie, she couldn't give up. She signaled to a few of her men, and seven or eight of them rushed forward.
Abella easily handled these insignificant people, knocking them to the ground in seconds.
She then walked towards Maria.
Lola watched as Maria took several hits to the head and chest from Abella.
"Stop... Abella, please stop..." Lola begged.
Seeing Maria fall heavily to the ground and spit out blood, Lola's eyes filled with tears.
But Abella kept walking towards Maria, kicking her towards the pillar again like she was trash.
Maria's body hit the pillar again, causing her to spit out more blood from the pain.
But she refused to give up, forcing herself to stand up quickly, only to be kicked in the face and stomach by Abella, sending her flying into a wooden table, which broke into pieces.
"Maria, run..." Lola cried out, "Stop fighting... You can't beat her..."
At some point, Louie's men had come upstairs and started shooting at Maria's men.
Maria wiped the blood from her mouth, still wanting to fight.
She had just stood up and lunged at Abella, reaching for the hair tie.
In a split second, Theo kicked one of Maria's men, who crashed into Maria, sending both of them flying down the stairs.
Lola's eyes widened in disbelief!
In that moment, Maria, who had protected her for eighteen years, fell down the stairs.
Lola was so shocked that her mind went blank for a while before she realized Maria was dead!
The Maria who had cared for her for eighteen years, who had been so good to her, was dead?
"Fuck, letting her die like this is too easy!" Theo's voice rang in Abella's ears.
Lola couldn't believe it, tears streaming down her face like broken pearls. Was it Abella's people who killed her? Or was it Abella herself?
From her angle, she couldn't see Abella or her men.
She only saw Maria staggering to her feet, seemingly trying to lunge in a certain direction.
But the next second, someone flew over and knocked her down.
It had to be Abella!
It had to be Abella who took the chance to kill Maria!
Lola was both angry and desperate, letting out a low whimper before screaming in pain.
She poured all her disbelief, breakdown, shock, fear, and anger into one scream. "Abella, you murderer! You killed Maria! You vicious bitch..."
Not far away, Theo knocked down a few more men, kicking a phone off the floor and down the stairs.
The screen shattered, and the video call was automatically cut off.
"What's all the yelling about?" Theo didn't seem to care, but seeing Louie and his men coming upstairs, he got a bit worried, "Ms. Medici, why are they here..."
When Louie and his men arrived, they saw Abella and Theo still alive, standing on the edge of the eighteenth floor, watching the commotion. They were overjoyed.
"Ms. Medici's not dead! She's still alive!" One of Louie's men exclaimed.
Meanwhile, Dennis had searched the lower floors and hadn't found Abella's body. Just then, two people fell from above, one an insignificant person he didn't recognize, and the other was Maria.
How did Maria end up here?
As he looked up, a phone fell from the sky. If he hadn't dodged quickly, it would have hit him on the head.
"Who the hell is throwing stuff from up there?" Dennis muttered, annoyed.
When Maria fell, her limbs were broken, but it was still clear who she was.
Where was Abella? There wasn't even a trace of her.
At that moment, his phone rang. It was Louie. "Mr. Medici, she's upstairs, she's not dead."
Dennis immediately rushed upstairs.
Theo didn't know if the newcomers were friends or foes, but seeing the predatory look in Louie's eyes when he saw Abella, he knew they were after them.
They had taken care of Maria's people and seemed to be heading their way.
"Even if we bought their island at a discount, they wouldn't chase us this far," Theo muttered, slashing one of Maria's men in the stomach and kicking another who tried to approach Abella.
He looked at Abella, "Ms. Medici, have you noticed that what they want and what we want seem to be the same? First Cruz, now Viper... Do you think they followed Viper's trail from the club to here..."
Theo knocked down two more attackers, looking uneasily at Abella, "Viper was killed by Maria's people. If they can't get Viper, will they blame us? At the underground fight club, they said they would kill us. We should leave now, while we can."
Just as he finished speaking, one of Maria's men pressed a switch.
Suddenly, the entire building was filled with the sound of a timer.
Theo's sharp eyes quickly noticed that the floor was rigged with timed explosives.
Who knew if the other floors were rigged too?
The timer showed one minute.
Abella saw it too and immediately said, "Retreat."
With no elevator in the unfinished building, getting down from the eighteenth floor would take time.
Just then, Dennis finally reached the floor. Seeing Abella standing there unharmed, he was overjoyed, almost too excited, and asked through gritted teeth, "You're not dead?"
Abella was puzzled by his words.
Theo realized that this man was indeed after them, wanting them dead.
"They've activated the timed explosives, only fifty seconds left, we need to go. Louie shouted as he kicked another attacker away.
If Maria's explosives went off, it would likely trigger the explosives Louie had planted in the building.
The resulting explosion would be unimaginable.
Dennis grabbed Abella's hand. "Come with me."
"What are you doing? Let go of Ms. Medici!" Theo kicked at him.
Abella took the opportunity to fight back, and Dennis stepped back, "I won't hurt you."
"If we don't leave now, it'll be too late!" Louie shouted, still fighting off the remaining attackers, "Hurry up!"
The timer kept counting down.
Just then, Dennis saw several bullets fired from different directions aimed at Abella's back.
