Chapter 583 Evacuate Overnight
"Hey, I want to go for a walk, but I don't have anyone to go with," James said, eyeing Abella. "Are you free?"
Abella caught on quickly. "Uncle James, you've already given me so many properties and shares. If you buy me more, I'll feel guilty."
She didn't want James to spend more money.
"Not buying anything, just a walk. Your parents are coming too. Think of it as a way to relax. It's your first time here, and I want to show you around," James explained.
"Alright, let's go," Abella agreed, standing up.
"I'll check if your parents are ready," James said, then went to find them. "Kimberly, Abella agreed to go for a walk. How about the three of us join her? It's a rare chance."
Soon, the four of them got into a stretch limo and set off.
James was a big deal in this country, so he always had four cars leading and four cars following.
People on the street knew it was James when they saw the convoy.
At traffic lights, people stared enviously.
"Is the night view of Sunhavenia nice?" James asked Abella in the car.
"It's alright."
"If you ever have any problems here, you can always find me. Even if there's nothing wrong, I'd love to see you."
"Sure, I'll come when I have time," Abella replied.
"Abella, look, all the shops on this street belong to James," Beckett pointed out as the car turned a corner. "He owns a lot of properties here."
Listening to Beckett, Abella soon arrived at the city's largest luxury shopping center.
"This mall also belongs to James."
The top brands inside were just tenants; not all belonged to James.
James wanted the staff to clear the place, but Abella said, "No need, don't disturb others. We'll just walk around."
Even though Abella didn't want to make a scene, with twenty bodyguards and the mall manager leading the way, they drew attention.
"Who is that girl? So young and she knows Mr. Harris?"
"Looks like Mr. Harris is taking her shopping."
"Who is she?"
"Abella, which brand do you like?" James asked softly.
"Uncle James, don't you want to shop?"
"Yes," James thought. "Let's check out the QY clothing store."
He'd heard many young people liked the QY brand.
Beckett and Kimberly immediately thought, 'Isn't that Abella's brand?'
"Alright," Abella signaled to her parents not to reveal it. If James liked something, she'd just give it to him.
The store manager of QY, upon hearing that James had arrived, hurried out. When she saw Abella, she was stunned.
As the regional manager and store manager of QY in Sunhavenia, she had seen Abella once in a video conference and was impressed. She never expected to see her in person today.
But she never imagined Abella would be with James. 'Could they be a couple?'
"See if there's anything suitable for him," Abella didn't reveal James' identity.
Hearing this, the store manager quickly led James to the men's section.
James walked around inside, with some bodyguards following, and other customers couldn't help but talk.
"Is that James? So handsome!"
"Is he here to buy things for his girlfriend?"
"His girlfriend looks so young, like a student."
"She doesn't even look as good as me!"
A confident blonde woman flipped her hair, adjusted her neckline, and walked forward seductively.
Several bodyguards stopped her.
She brushed her hair back and winked at James. "Mr. Harris, I'm Allyson Brooks. I've admired you for a long time. Can I have your phone number?"
The surrounding customers were stunned. They didn't expect her to be so bold. James might seem like a gentleman, but he was known to be fierce.
James looked at her expressionlessly and called out, "Kimberly."
"Ms. Brooks, please have some self-respect," Kimberly said, standing in front of James, looking noble and elegant.
"Are you Mr. Harris' sister?" Allyson quickly smiled. "Ms. Harris, hello. I'm Allyson. I really like your brother. Please give me a chance. I promise to make him happy for a lifetime."
Kimberly was speechless. 'How could this woman make James happy? With his money?'
"Ms. Harris, don't you think I'm better than her?" Allyson pointed at Abella, straightening her back to emphasize her chest.
"You're comparing yourself to her?" Kimberly asked.
"Her clothes and figure aren't as good as mine!" Allyson replied.
Kimberly waved her hand. "Take her away."
"Ms. Harris, what did I say wrong?" Allyson protested as two bodyguards grabbed her.
"Ms. Harris, you don't know me. Once you get to know me, you'll see I'm really better than her!"
Kimberly smiled. "I don't know you, but I know her. You'll never be better than her. Goodbye."
The bodyguards took Allyson away.
"What a disgrace, behaving so indecently in public!" Kimberly said, then added, "Not to nag, but you're not getting any younger. When will you find a girlfriend? I can't always be the one blocking these women for you. What about that girl you mentioned before?"
"Kimberly, let's go check out that area," James said, leaving the men's section for the women's section.
"Uncle James didn't find anything he liked?" Abella asked.
"Yeah, they were all pretty average," James replied.
Beckett and Kimberly's expressions soured. These were Abella's designs, and he said they were average?!
"Abella, what do you think of this dress?" James picked up a dress and asked.
"Uncle James, you don't need to pick for me."
"How about this one?"
"I'm not buying."
"And this one?"
"No."
"Seems like you don't like anything from this brand?"
"Not really."
James signaled to the mall manager, "Have this brand removed from our mall overnight."
Beckett quickly intervened, "James, listen to me..."
"If Abella doesn't like it, I don't like it either," James said, looking at the mall manager. "Get it done quickly."
"James, what are you doing! QY is a great brand. Let me tell you, this is..." Kimberly's words were cut off by the store manager's panicked voice.
"Ms. Medici, what should we do?" The store manager was in a panic.
Earlier, she saw Abella and James come in together and thought they were a couple with a good relationship.
But then, Abella called him Uncle James.
This family seemed to have a strained relationship.
And now he wanted them to move out overnight.
'Is there no family affection among the nobility, only interests?' The store manager thought.
