Chapter 75 The Warehouse's Secret
"Our entire family, seven people of all ages, rely on this meal. Now Benjamin says to pause production. What are our seven mouths going to eat and drink from now on?"
"You can't just listen halfway, Benjamin's meaning is that lines one, two, and three can continue production, but lines four and five need to be temporarily stopped. It's not that you won't have a job anymore, just that you need to go home and wait."
"How long do we have to wait? My family of seven can't wait even a day!"
"Justin, you're the team leader of line four. How can you go against me? Whether you agree or not, that's how it's going to be! There's no room for negotiation!"
"Dylan, Benjamin promised us before that he would give each of us hope for the future. Not saying to achieve great success, but at least we would have no worries about food and clothing!"
"Has Benjamin mistreated you all this past year? Can't you see it? Now that Miss Medici has come to the company, she needs to oversee even the smallest matters. Lines four and five must be stopped, and the inventory in the warehouse needs to be moved these few days. not only you and me, even Benjamin will be in trouble!"
Abella understood. So it turns out that the things produced by lines four and five at night are all unspeakable?
The person speaking should be Dylan from the production department and the team leader of line four. Needless to say, she knew that these goods must have some issue...
Abella secretly...
Leaving the staircase, Abella arrived at the first-floor warehouse.
At night, the warehouse was unattended. Surprisingly, Abella's fingerprint couldn't open the warehouse door, even though her fingerprint had already been recorded in the company system, granting her access to any part of the company...
She tried entering the password, but the warehouse door didn't budge. this password would allow her unrestricted access throughout the company.
Unless someone specifically wiped her data, deliberately preventing her from entering through this door.
Curiosity flashed in Abella's eyes., she wanted to know if Benjamin was pulling some strings behind her back, just as she suspected.
The warehouse door had three layers of password locks, which Abella effortlessly cracked. Not only did she crack them, but she also tampered with the surveillance recordings that would follow.
The warehouse was stocked with various types of garments, including finished products that had been manufactured for other companies, as well as old and new items from their own company.
As Abella toured her own warehouse, she discovered two batches of identical new goods, but the craftsmanship and materials were vastly different.
She logged into the computer used by the warehouse administrator and found that the low-quality batch of goods had not been recorded in the company's data.
She copied everything from the computer and sent it to her own email, then erased all traces.
a series of footsteps echoed outside the warehouse.
Abella leaped onto the top beam and looked down, observing Dylan and several employees entering.
These employees were all unfamiliar faces.
Abella understood that the daytime and nighttime production workers were not the same group of people!
These people were most likely Benjamin's trusted aides.
Each of them held a wooden stick.
The lights in the warehouse were switched on, and the employees searched the area but found no one.
"Dylan, has that new girl who recently joined scared you too much and left a deep psychological impact?" someone remarked.
"There are no signs of anyone else entering this warehouse either!" another person added.
...
Dylan's gaze swept across the room, sensing an unfamiliar aura lingering. "Go check the surveillance," he ordered.
The surveillance had been tampered with by Abella earlier, although it continued to record for seconds. However, there were no traces of Abella entering.
An employee checked the surveillance and promptly reported, "Dylan, there is no one who entered the warehouse."
"That's strange... someone saw Miss Medici enter the company just now. Could that person have been mistaken?" Dylan wondered.
A while ago, an employee went downstairs to pick up takeout and saw a figure resembling Miss Medici entering the exclusive elevator. The silhouette was Miss Medici...
Dylan felt uneasy and ordered someone to retrieve the surveillance footage from the company entrance.
If Abella had come, the cameras would have captured her!
One of the employees went to retrieve the footage, while Abella took out her phone, erased all the surveillance footage of her entering the company, and then activated the recording function, capturing their move.
"Dylan, if Miss Medici did come
"During the company meeting, everyone found out what goods we are producing. What should we do?" One of the employees expressed concern, fearing that Abella would find out about their secret activities.
"With Miss Medici's investigation methods, it won't be long until all our secrets are exposed."
"Will we lose our jobs because of this?"
"If Miss Medici catches on to our secrets, not only will we lose our jobs, but we might even end up in jail!"
Listening to their worried chatter, Dylan sneered, "If someone has an accident on their way to or from work, it wouldn't be our fault... It would just be their bad luck."
The employees were frightened by Dylan's words. Did he mean that if Miss Medici discovered something she shouldn't have, he would resort to murder?
But Miss Medici was sent by headquarters, could there be some background information about her that they were unaware of?
The person who went to check the surveillance cameras returned, "Dylan, Miss Medici did not come to the company tonight. It must have been a mistake."
"It seems like a false alarm. So what are we waiting for? Let's go back to our workstations!"
"That scared me so much. I thought Miss Medici came. I even worried that she went to the warehouse!"
Five or six people turned off the lights and prepared to leave the warehouse.
Abella's phone vibrated a few times. It was Phillipe calling.
The recording on the phone was interrupted.
Dylan, who was in a leading position, seemed to have heard something and asked sensitively, "Whose phone was vibrating?"
"There was no vibration..."
Several employees took out their phones, but there was no movement.
Abella hung up Phillipe's call, set her phone on silent mode, and sent him a WhatsApp message, "Something came up, see you later."
"Okay." Phillipe thought she encountered some trouble, but now it seemed that he was overthinking it.
Dylan listened carefully, but there were no more sounds. Could he have misheard earlier?
"Dylan, you're too sensitive! I can see that girl has gotten on your nerves! Hahaha..."
"This warehouse isn't that big. If someone is hiding, we would have found them by now."
A few people laughed and pulled Dylan away.
The warehouse door was closed by someone.
A dark look flashed in Abella's eyes. It seemed that their secrets were even more than she had imagined.
The warehouse was pitch black.
Instead of going downstairs, Abella continued to wait on the beam.
The outside lights were as bright as day. Several figures stood at the entrance of the warehouse, casting distinct shadows on the ground through the crack of the door.
