Chapter 1007 Abella's Words Really Work

Half an hour later, all the performances had wrapped up, and Victoria linked arms with Abella, smiling warmly. "Hey Abella, wanna go check out the fireworks? Phillipe's grandparents set them up just for you."

Abella glanced at Ryan and Savannah, her expression softening. "Thanks, you guys."

"Hope you enjoy them," Ryan said, helping Savannah into a wool hat and thick coat as they all headed towards the garden.

"It's pretty chilly out, Abella. Do you have a warmer coat?" Savannah asked, shivering a bit as the wind nipped at her neck, worried Abella might be cold too.

Before Abella could answer, Phillipe draped his own coat over her shoulders, buttoning it up for her. "Here, take mine."

The black coat made Abella look even more slender and elegant.

Rainey was amazed at how Abella could wear Phillipe's coat and still look so effortlessly cool and commanding.

Abella seemed like a natural model, looking good in anything she wore.

Phillipe wrapped an arm around Abella's waist as they walked towards the garden. As soon as they stopped, twenty beautiful fireworks exploded overhead simultaneously, creating a grand and breathtaking display.

Abella hadn't expected the Bourbons to put on such a magnificent fireworks show for her. The fireworks kept bursting one after another, filling the sky with dazzling colors and patterns, providing an overwhelming visual feast.

Phillipe pulled Abella closer, shielding her from the cold wind.

The fireworks lit up the entire night sky, forming various shapes like Christmas trees, Santa Claus, and finally spelling out "Merry Christmas."

After the fireworks show, all the elders wished Abella a Merry Christmas, the lively and warm atmosphere filling her with a sense of warmth and gratitude.

"Abella!"

As everyone headed back inside, Rainey quickly approached, linking arms with Abella and addressing Phillipe. "I need to ask you something."

Abella glanced at Phillipe, who reluctantly let go of her hand, giving Rainey a warning look not to cause trouble.

Rainey pretended not to notice, walking with Abella and whispering, "Abella, can I ask you something? How did you manage to tame Phillipe? He's so gentle with you."

She quickly added, "I don't want to tame him, just hope he could be a bit gentler with us."

"Rainey," Phillipe's voice came from behind.

Rainey turned around quickly. "I... I was just telling Abella how gentle you are!"

Phillipe's stern demeanor softened.

"Phillipe is really much gentler with you around!" Rainey whispered to Abella, "From now on, you're my idol. I'll do whatever you say!"

"Just say what you need," Abella saw through her intentions, knowing she meant no harm.

Rainey was surprised at how perceptive Abella was and quickly said, a bit embarrassed, "Phillipe wants me to copy the family rules ten times. You have no idea how long they are! Abella, could you ask him to let me off with just one time?"

Copying them ten times would be torture.

Abella raised an eyebrow, realizing Rainey was trying to get out of copying the rules.

"Actually, writing more could be good for you," Abella teased.

"How so?"

"Your handwriting will improve."

"I don't need it to improve! I don't care if it's ugly! Writing might be fun for you, but it's torture for me! I don't even want to hold a pen... Abella, please help me. You're the best!" Rainey clung to Abella's arm, pleading, "I waited for you all night, got a bit hungry and had some complaints, but once you arrived, they all disappeared! I swear!"

"Rainey." Phillipe saw her clinging to Abella, seemingly pleading for something, and immediately approached. "Are you done?"

"Almost."

"Then I'll take that as you're done." Phillipe pulled Abella into his arms, his tone softening as he spoke to her. "Grandpa and Grandma have something for you. I'll take you to them."

"Phillipe." Rainey was anxious, watching them leave. "Abella..."

"Did you really make her copy the family rules?" Abella asked Phillipe, intrigued.

"Did she complain to you?" Phillipe turned, giving Rainey a stern look.

Rainey was scared by his look, realizing that even Abella's intervention might not save her.

What to do? It was Christmas, and she didn't have time to find someone to copy them for her.

She spotted her sister Elara nearby, feeling a glimmer of hope.

Elara, looking lazy, said as she walked, "Don't even think about it. If Phillipe finds out, I'll have to copy them two hundred times."

"Elara, you're my sister. Could you copy five times for me? Just five?"

"Not a single word." Elara's cold demeanor left no room for negotiation.

Rainey turned to Jerry, who helplessly said, "If Phillipe finds out, he'll break my legs."

"Are you all that afraid of Phillipe? Haven't you ever thought of rebelling?"

Elara gave her a look as if she were an idiot, and Jerry clearly hadn't considered it either.

"Jerry, Elara." Rainey felt even more deflated, realizing they were just as scared as she was.

Meanwhile, Abella said calmly, "Let's end this. Don't punish her."

Phillipe looked at Abella. "You were swayed so quickly?"

"Not swayed, just think she's still young and easily scared. Look at how frightened she is."

"I think she just finds you easy to talk to." Phillipe didn't want to forgive Rainey, but since Abella had spoken, he reluctantly called out, "Rainey Bourbon!"

Rainey's heart raced at hearing her full name, bracing herself for a scolding.

She quickly approached them, ready for whatever was coming.

"Since Abella pleaded for you, we'll end this here. Don't let it happen again."

Rainey was stunned, clearly surprised, and instantly overjoyed.
