Chapter 659 The Two Sisters Appear Simultaneously

Abella figured Steven knew she was involved but had no clue how deep it went.

Not wanting to drag him in, she said, "Steven, ask Winston. He knows more than I do."

Seeing her cute and obedient look, Steven didn't push. "Alright, if Winston messes around, let me know. Don't get mixed up with him."

"Okay."

Steven had no idea how wild she could be.

Meanwhile, Lola lay in bed, tears streaming down her face. "It hurts, it really hurts."

As Elijah disinfected the wound, Lola's pain was intense, her face showing it.

"Dr. Aaron, please be gentle!" Maria was worried. "If it's too painful, can we wait to apply the medicine?"

Maria wanted to keep the wound as it was so Lola's parents and Steven could see it.

Seeing Lola in such pain would surely soften their hearts.

"Ms. Medici is hurt badly; we can't wait," Elijah said, disinfecting her forehead. "Every minute we wait increases infection risk."

Maria sighed, feeling she missed a chance. 'Oh right, I can record this and show it to Lola's parents later.'

"Dr. Aaron, it really hurts," Lola said, her voice muffled by the pain.

"I know, falling like that must hurt. But how come your nose is fine when your jaw and forehead are injured?" Elijah asked.

"When Ms. Medici fell, her hand protected her nose, face, and mouth, but it got scraped and bled," Maria explained.

Elijah nodded, understanding.

Just then, Abbie came over. "Mr. Steven Medici just called."

Maria thought Steven was checking on Lola, but he was asking if Abella had arrived!

Hearing this, Lola felt panic and anger. She couldn't believe Abella had gone to tattle on her!

After Elijah finished, Lola clenched her fists. "I need to see Steven too!"

Maria's eyes widened. "You're going now?"

Maria thought, 'Why didn't I think of this? Lola, seriously injured, goes to Steven with food and drinks, and runs into Abella. She can apologize in front of Steven. If Abella doesn't forgive her, Steven will think Abella is petty! Brilliant plan!'

"Ms. Medici, let me help you to the dressing room."

Lola changed into a black long dress, paired with a loose coat, and wore a beautiful hat, looking like a graceful heiress.

She took the family car to the company entrance. The security guard saw her and let her in respectfully.

The receptionists saw her bandaged forehead and jaw and asked what happened.

"It's nothing, just a little fall." Even injured, Lola maintained her elegant heiress image.

Everyone couldn't help but admire her.

"Is Steven busy? I haven't been here in a while, so I made him some food."

The receptionists, unaware of the earlier conference room drama, kindly replied, "Mr. Medici just finished a meeting. He should be in his office now. Let me call him for you."

"No need, I want to surprise him." With that, the receptionists didn't dare stop her and agreed with a smile.

Brittany, Wendy, and Cara, who had just finished a meeting and were about to leave, overheard Lola's conversation and were a bit stunned.

"Did you notice how different Abella and Lola are? Abella's confident and assertive, while Lola's gentle and innocent. Maybe they were raised separately—one as a socialite, the other as a successor?" Wendy speculated.

"That's possible!" Brittany nodded. "They look about the same age, but Lola never gets involved in the company and only appears in high society. Meanwhile, Abella just showed up out of nowhere."

"This must be the Medici family's plan," Cara realized.

Lola sensed people whispering, probably about her injuries. She had fallen hard twice today, and even walking hurt. But for her image, she walked gracefully. Once the elevator doors closed, she quickly checked her appearance in the mirror, tidying up to avoid any missteps.

Patrick had just made a cup of coffee and was heading to the office when he heard the elevator ding. It was Lola!

His expression froze. "Ms. Lola Medici, what brings you here today? What happened to your forehead and jaw?"

"I had a little fall." Seeing the coffee in his hand and smelling the familiar aroma, Lola's smile froze. Abella was still in Steven's office. She couldn't believe Steven had Abella's favorite coffee in the company. She wouldn't mistake that aroma!

"Ms. Lola Medici, you're here to see Mr. Medici, right? He's in his office now," Patrick said kindly, unaware of the conflict. "Ms. Abella Medici is here too."

"How long has Abella been here?" Lola pretended not to know, showing a gentle smile.

"About an hour."

She thought, 'An hour! Who knows how much badmouthing she's done in front of Steven!'

Lola forced a smile. "Perfect, I made extra snacks. Abella can have some too. Patrick, this one's for you."

"For me?" Patrick was about to take it.

"You're holding coffee; it's inconvenient. I'll put it on your desk."

"Thank you, Ms. Lola Medici. You're so thoughtful."

"You're welcome."

Patrick knocked on the office door with the coffee. "Ms. Abella Medici, your coffee is here. Mr. Medici, Ms. Lola Medici is here too."

Steven didn't expect Lola to come. 'Isn't she injured? Why is she here?'
