Chapter 692 Afraid of Being Expelled

The sales clerks were grinning like they just won the lottery. While they helped her pack up her stuff and set up delivery, they even squatted down to give her legs a massage.

Lola lounged on the couch like she owned the place, sipping on the coffee a clerk handed her. She wrinkled her nose and sneered, "This coffee's worse than what my servants drink at home."

Erika, the clerk, nodded like a bobblehead and buttered her up, saying, "Miss, you're so generous. It's obvious you're not from an ordinary family. Your servants probably make more than we do. We're just workers. If it weren't for your purchases, we wouldn't hit our sales targets this month."

"Yeah, thank goodness for your shopping spree, or we'd be out of a job," Kitty chimed in, eagerly massaging Lola's shoulders. She asked curiously, "Miss, is that card from your family or your boyfriend?"

Lola casually replied it was from her boyfriend. The clerks then showered her with compliments and envy, praising her for having such an awesome boyfriend and saying how lucky she was.

Lola felt on top of the world.

"If your boyfriend's so willing to splurge on you, why not try these boots? They just came in yesterday, and no one else has tried them on yet. Only you!"

Debbie quickly put on gloves and brought out a pair of boots in Lola's size, emphasizing, "This style is super rare, with only one pair per size. Your small feet will look way better in them than on other ladies with bigger feet."

She knelt down to help Lola put on the boots. Lola soaked up the VIP treatment and checked herself out in the mirror.

"Not bad, pack 'em up too," she said, handing over her card. "The password's 1234."

Debbie was taken aback by how straightforward she was, without a second thought. She exclaimed, "Miss, these boots are different from what you bought earlier. They're designed by a famous designer and are pretty pricey, costing two hundred grand."

Two hundred grand for a pair of boots would've made Lola think twice in the past.

But today, she was using Henry's card, and he had begged her to use it.

So she felt no guilt at all and even raised her eyebrows, asking, "I've already bought stuff worth two million. You think I can't afford these for two hundred grand? You think I can't pay?"

"Of course not, Miss, you got it all wrong."

"You're the most generous lady I've ever seen."

"I'm so jealous of you. Your demeanor screams you're from an extraordinary background, and you have such a caring boyfriend. And you're so beautiful."

"Miss, from now on, you're our store's supreme VIP. Anything you want, no other customer will get priority."

At that moment, Lola spotted a familiar figure in the distance, thinking, 'Isn't that Abella? What's she doing shopping in this store?'

Since this store was the global flagship, covering a massive area with three floors, she hadn't noticed Abella's presence earlier.

Right then, Abella was holding an elegant dress. Unlike the royal treatment Lola was getting, Abella was shopping solo, without a single clerk attending to her!

Lola thought, 'Caleb must be too busy to care for her, so she sneaks out to shop alone.'

She smirked and looked at Kitty. "You just said I'm the supreme VIP customer of your store? Anything I fancy, no other customer has the priority to buy? I want that dress she's holding!"

Kitty glanced over to where Lola was pointing. It was a pretty girl holding a newly arrived dress from yesterday.

The dress was super pricey, and regular folks probably couldn't swing it.

Seeing that Abella's outfit wasn't as flashy as Lola's, Kitty said, "Please wait a moment," and went over to negotiate.

"Sorry, Miss, this dress has already been reserved. You can check out other styles," Kitty politely said to Abella.

Abella wasn't really set on the dress; she just thought some design elements were cool and picked it up to look. Seeing the clerk wanted to take it, she handed it over without a fuss.

"Thank you," Kitty said, bringing the dress to Lola.

Lola felt like she had just won a battle, proudly glancing in Abella's direction. Seeing Abella pick out a champagne-colored evening gown, she smirked. "I want that one she's holding too."

Hearing Lola, Kitty went over to negotiate with Abella again.

This time, Abella sensed something and asked, "Which customer wants it?"

"That lady over there. She's our store's supreme VIP customer!" Kitty apologized, "I'm really sorry, but you can look at other styles."

Abella looked up and saw Lola lounging on the sofa, with two clerks massaging her shoulders and legs.

Abella thought, 'When did she come to Verdania? She seems to be living it up.'

"Does she want to snatch everything I fancy?" Abella smirked, finding Lola childish and ridiculous.

"Sorry for the offense," Kitty said, taking the champagne-colored evening gown from Abella and bringing it to Lola.

At this moment, Bonnie, who was picking out clothes on the second floor, overheard the conversation between Abella and the clerk. Seeing the clerk's actions, she looked up and saw Abella looking in a certain direction, immediately guessing what was happening.

It seemed some jealous rich girl wanted to compete with Abella because she was pretty.

From this angle, Bonnie couldn't see who it was, only knowing Abella was being wronged.

While picking out a dress, she asked the accompanying store manager in a leisurely yet cold tone, "Competing with my niece for things? The store manager doesn't care?"

Hearing this, the store manager hurried downstairs. She didn't know who Lola was because Lola had never appeared in the store with Bonnie before.

The store manager only knew that Bonnie was Caleb's wife, and no one in Verdania dared to mess with Caleb easily.

One moment, Lola was living the high life, and the next, she was told by the clerks that she was now on the store's blacklist. She had to either leave with her purchases immediately or return them for a refund.

"What do you mean?" Lola couldn't wrap her head around their actions. When she paid, they treated her like royalty. How could their attitude flip so fast?

She thought, 'Is it because I snatched two dresses from Abella? Is this all Abella's doing? Does Abella have that kind of pull?'

"Sorry, we can't sell you these two dresses either!" Kitty hurriedly took the champagne-colored evening gown and the elegant dress from Lola. She had just been scolded by the store manager and now kept her head down, fearing she might get fired.
